Also semi strong shot is more than enough to get rid of reaper interest of your seamoth. So it's good to have one. If you wonder how many times it takes to take down reaper leviathan is about 28-31. Depends how close you would be to kill him. Total mission uses about 600 PTS of energy.

@@killerracoon8471 mmm, tbh this strategy works 5-10 % at time, because bashing ur seamoth into reaper could result it's retalite faster than u can move out and repair your vessel, leading either killing you or destroying your Sally.

I remember when I got my cyclops for the first time and I accidentally stumbled upon the sand dunes. Two reapers came at my cyclops, and knowing my cyclops would be destroyed if I didn't lure them away. So I took my prepulsion cannon stasis rifle, and survival knife and within half an hour of the most intense moment in my history of gaming ever, I brought down both reaper leviathans. And I was so proud of myself I was walking around like Jim Carrey's Ace Ventura for the rest of the day.

@@bagosiadam4966 a reaper and a ghost tag teamed me the reaper took my seamoth to about 10% then I tried to run just to find a ghost destroying it so I tried to knife it down, but I failed cuz I didn't have my stasis rifle on me :(

@@qtfy A fully charged stasis rifle can fairly easily stun lock 2 reapers for about 30 seconds. That's long enough to do repairs on your cyclops, stun them again, and get through a substantial chunk of their territory. With sufficient batteries you can take a prawn suit down to max depth in the Void. The stasis rifle isn't too OP for killing things (in that it doesn't make things that much faster), but if you have one and aim well it's effectively 10 or more minutes of invulnerability per battery. That removes the horror/stealth/evasion elements of the game and replaces them with "stun everything that attacks you, if there's multiple things attacking you get them both into a stun bubble" which is more effective than every other defensive system in the game. If you want to kill things quickly use the stasis rifle and spam fully charged point-blank range seamoth electric pulses, IIRC that does the most DPS.

How to deal with a reaper: don’t go into their territory

If you really need to explore an area with reapers you can pretty easily dodge them, by repeating a pattern of swimming up when the reaper is coming and then going down in the sea moth. If you are more skilled you can even do this with the prawn suit by utilizing it’s jump jet (although if you go for this route a jump jet upgrade is required). Unfortunately the cyclops is just too big of a target to dodge reapers (you may be able to dodge them using the fastest speed I haven’t tried, mostly because I don’t have a death wish).

The cyclops has like a preditor sensor on the side. With smart use of that, the speed, and the shield sensor you could escape an attack. However, running the cyclops in silent mode makes it really hard for reapers to find you, so the cyclops in silent mode is the way to go, but if you do get attacked (orange indicates a hostile, red indicates that it's about to attack) go for the shield/speed strat. If you have the space, you can even use the same tactic as the seamoth

You can use a statis rifle on it's head, and then slice it with the knife, and then when the statis sphere starts to shrink you charge it again and then repeat until it's dead

Crashfish, and propulsion cannon, no reaper wants to fuck with something that can throw crashfish at it's face. Same applies to ghost leviathans, and crabsquid. Yet to test on Sea Dragon, come to think of it.

Me who just turn the cyclop engines OFF : *YOU HAVE NO POWER HERE*

The cyclops actually worked like that when it was first implemented, where much like a base it would flood and you could repair it from the inside. In it's current state it takes damage just like any other vehicle, the inside leaks are purely cosmetic and for the most part don't correspond with the outside damage you actually have to repair

I fully expected a second reaper to come by just as you finished the first one off lol.

Whenever you get torpedo's you feel so confident but then you realize they don't do jack shit.

I finished the game for my first time today. I am proud to say that in the entire Playthrough I never used the cyclops but instead did everything with my prawn suit. That includes having killed a reaper, a ghost leviathan and a sea dragon once by clinging onto them with my prawn suit grappler and drilling through their skin with the drill arm as they drag me across the terrain. Good game. Love that Sony made it free for this month.

This gave me an idea of what to do with the reaper stuck in the Aurora's metal outer thingies that is sitting there since I started playing but I was to afraid to try to kill it until now

Even dead they are scary. I killed my first reaper and it was the one by the front side of the Aurora. The first reaper to scare me so I got my revenge, I ended up pulling it into the mushroom forest while fighting it so I got a good look at it. The thing still looked terrifying! He looked angry like, even dead he want to kill me..

Yeah the planet is essentially dying from a disease and reapers have less and less to eat, turning them more savage

This man got balls right at the end when he was in front of it the horrifying thought "this sucker could be faking and come after him real quick made the end really scary"

Supposedly combined with a stasis rifle it takes 127 swings with an upgraded knife in the eye sockets to kill a reaper.

This man has no fear.

The cyclops is not protecting the guy. It’s protecting everything else from him.

I also built a cyclops, when I was in a creature attack and trying to fix the cyclops in the inside *I realized I had to repair the damage of the cyclops on the outside*

Cudos for actually killing one! 👏 I scanned one when it was alive and stuck on the aurora's metal, scariest moment of my life

@@ImmuneStealth haha, I'm one as well! And that's a true OG dark souls strategy here. I play the same to every game, this tactic is always efficient, probably anywhere! Dodge into the enemy's attack, the bigger they are, the best it works!

Nice video just want to let you know if you didn't realize you have to repair the cyclops from the outside and it doesn't matter if you repair it until it gets to low hp then it will catch on fire

To fix it you have to go outside repair tool, and the find the holes and repair oh and I subed by the way

The funny thing is, I did this to the ghost child down in the lost river, just without the cyclops, seamoth or prawn. Just a stasis rifle, a repulsion cannon a knife that burns hotter than the surface of the sun and a hatred for that annoying blue toddler.

The planet has a very fragile ecosystem and everything including the Leviathans contribute to its continuing stability. Player: hehehe knife go tsssssshhhh
