Would be something if someone decided to make this type of building situation in survival mode. Course you wouldn't use the windowed segments but theoretically it could be done without even dying because as soon as "danger gets close" you could literally just go into the "building" and you have a literal safe route back out.

@@MageSkeleton I did do something like this in survival. Took a long time, and not as long as this, plus had far fewer glass segments with a lot of reinforcement. I started by the tree in the River, took my Cyclops down with my Prawn loaded with materials and setup a base there. Then wormed my way down all through the lava passages to the lava lakes. Setup smaller sub-bases along the route with scanners, fabricators, food/water growing, and Moonpools to stash/recharge my Prawn. Ended up having two Prawns: one up top in the River and another down in the lava zone, so I could mine different resources as needed. I was planning to extend from there up out to the surface via an old base I already had in the Bloodkelp zone but that was where I would have stopped rather than go back to the lifepod or my old main base on edge of the shallows. It was quite the grind, but fun. Damn teleporting attacks drove me insane though.
