Please don’t get bogged down with people negative comments. I totally believe that this is how life should be lived, in the sense that you take full responsibility and just do what your doing. When you are so immersed in working it doesn’t actually feels like work as you get an intellectual pleasure out of it. This is for some people is as watching a KZread video or reading a good novel, because I believe it’s not easy to stay for long hours studying without really enjoying it. I aspire to have such a will-power and I’m sure you’re going to achieve huge successes in life. All the best.

clock w0rk it’s something she obviously likes doing, and she herself has said that she doesn’t do this everyday or even every week. it might not interest you specifically, and for you, it may seem like a waste of time and energy, but to others, it means so much more. so if this is how she wants to spend her time, it isn’t a bad thing. life’s too short to do things you’d rather not be doing. for her, she’d rather do this and finds joy in learning. for others, it can be art, socialising, shopping, working, travelling, etc.

Okay I cried watching this for some reason, this is the second video I watch from your channel, the first one was a live reaction of your first essay mark at university and I cried at that video too . Because I feel you so much I'm a senior student from high school this year. I study for 14 hours every single day from the beginning of this year. Because here in the country that I live in, you have to get soooo high grades at high school to manage to enter university, OR you have to pay so much, and my parents can't afford it, so I have to get high marks which means I have to study A LOT . Today was the last exam of the first course, and most of the exams were really HARD comparing to every year, I'm so afraid, the results are coming up after 3 days from now. The country that I live in is not my original country and its universities are only for the original citizens, which is so unfair and sad, I can't go to my country because of the wars in it ☹. So I'm really afraid of the results because I really put sooo much effort to my studying that I lost so much weight and had so much acne in my skin, all because of stress and anxiety. Wish me luck Sorry for my bad English it's not my first language 😊 With love 💕 EDIT: I luckily was accepted at the university I talked about with a complete scholarship, it was litterly a miracle! Because there were 8000 students who applied for this university and only 50 students were accepted! And I was one of them! I don't know if it was luck or because of working hard all these days, but I'm so happy and I wish that every one of you achieve their dreams like I did. I learned that there is no existence for the word "impossible", everything is possible just with working hard and doing what you should do.. Thank you all for your kind words and for the likes 💖💖

Jaco • Its certainly beneficial to finish study after such long hours! But long hours like these, from a health perspective, can actually mentally prevent positive cognition and your physical body may not appreciate it either. As you feed information, the brain has to sync it almost. So breaks allow your brain to process certain knowledge :) long study is not healthy but in sections, sure can be!

When I first watched Ruby's videos, I was astonished by the hours she does dedicate to her studies, but I did take action and tried to study as much as I can. And I was able to study 10 hours a day in my holidays, and yes it's not as much as her but at least near her. To sum up, never see yourself below other just take actions and you'll be blown by the results. Good luck !

I wish I could be like this. The only thing is that I'm a night owl and once I start working on anything, I have to keep working. I can't get up and do something else because then when I go back to do my work I have already lost my train of thought. If things could get any worse, it takes me like 2 hours to actually start my school work. I will sit down and stare at it and then 2 hours later I finally start it 😂

So, as someone who's watched nearly all of Ruby's videos, I feel like I should answer some questions that people seem to have. 1. "Why do you do this to yourself?!" Ruby's a study enthusiast, she LOVES studying. It might be hard for some of us to understand (like me lol I struggle a lot with studying motivation) but Ruby does this out of choice and also for enjoyment. I've read a lot of comments and some people seem to think she's being forced to do it or she doesn't want to do it. 2. "Do you have a social life?/You need to have fun!" If you watch some of her vlogs she hangs out with friends and family and goes out. I'm sure she does have a lot of fun but she doesn't need to show every single part of her life to the internet, plus she's stated several times that she doesn't study for long periods of time like 14 hours often. 3. "This isn't healthy/this will lead to depression, etc." Like I said above Ruby's stated that she doesn't study for this long often. She seems like a very healthy and happy girl, and I'm sure that if she feels like she's wearing herself out she'll take a break as a mature young woman :) Love this channel, Ruby! You're such an inspiration :)

It's not only about the technology. The entire system is WRONG. They never really care if we understood the topic or not. If we write what we genuinely understood, then they'll reduce marks and if someone writes their fancy textbook answer , they'll instantly award you with with loads of marks. I feel people no longer study to gain knowlege but rather to get the top rank and beat their friends in this non existent race. This system is only apt for clerks and military men who really do not need creativity in their jobs. Also, If only NCERT made books properly , we wouldn't have to buy so many practice and guide books. Nothing is great about this system😔

I know people who study half an hour before an exam and still ace it. It just differs from person to person. Just because someone studies for 15 hrs doesn't mean they are directly given an admission in Harvard. Also,. Doing English and philosophy all day isn't that boring. Try solving a calculus textbook for straight 7 hrs. You'll know the pain.

Its completely doable to study 10-15 hours a Day like this girl and sometimes necessary if you have a lot to do. But what i dont understand is the fact that she barely take any breaks, i mean staying in study mode for 4-5 hours at a time with only very small breaks and changing between subjects and tasks just like that cant really make you that efficient. If you study make sure to take atleast a 5-10 minute break between subjects or whenever your concentration starts to drop significantly. 5 hour of smart studies with your brain at optimal capacity is way better than cramming full 10-15 hour days. Imo.

Sometimes I feel seeing these type of videos that is only me who do this and if i study 3 hours straight, and don't have a break like 30 minutes, my brains starts getting lazy and I don't know if my styding time is being efficient anymore... And even if i do not study 14 hours like her, at least i guess it's 7 hours, in the end of the day I'm really tired How they do that??

I did really well in school and I never studied this much in a week.. And just a reminder: school and real life are worlds apart. If you can't find a way to connect those two you won't be successful professionally. We have a lot of straight A students these days not doing so well in a catastrophic job market. Worth thinking about sooner rather than later. But I do enjoy the videos and the enthusiasm!!

@BoogiBellugi bullshit ahaha, studying for 12 hours a few days a week will genuinely get you in to oxbridge and no fucking part time job will get you bank like an oxbridge degree will.

@@garrettfish8471 You're still wrong. I was blessed with an outstandingly high IQ so i've never had to work to get grades, but i'm also aware that the world of work will kill me for it. School prepares you for working a job, that is to say it prepares you to get out of bed at least five days a week and work tirelessly for 8 hours a day or more. Most jobs people end up with are quite repetitive, not requiring any real social skills or outstanding intelligence. All they require is a willingness to show up and work even in intense periods. If you can't do that, you're completely worthless to any employer, regardless of how smart you are. That is exactly why GCSE and A-level specifications are designed to have wealths of content rather than mandatory blocks of unknown puzzles. Every single mark on almost every single A level and GCSE paper will only require you to remember a fact or a method, and no amount of supreme logic or social skills will help you discover those facts in an exam hall. Only way to be positive you'll get straight A*'s? To physically learn every single question that could come up. A feat that requires a massive amount of consistent work, and basically no intelligence. (The qualities of a good low level employee; who'd have thought?)
