    J. Anderson why difference does the race make in this situation? You had a student breaking the rules, a recent armed robbery at the school. What happened to see something say something?

    DD my question is what did she see? Another student sleeping. Did she ask any questions before calling the police? Her name perhaps. Maybe she ask if the woman was alright, maybe she was injured. But she didn't. She walked in that room and immediately started badgering another student because she felt she had the right to do so. And more importantly because she is black. You don't have to agree and that's fine but it's the truth. I might even buy your argument if this was the first time she called the police on a black student at Yale University. And like most cowards they want to report what someone else is doing "wrong" or perceived as "wrong", but they don't want to stand up and take responsibility for that action. It's not a black or white thing I'm just tired of this foolishness and it seems to be happening with increased regularity to folks of color. Perpetrated by white folks. How about we talk to each other and get to know our neighbors before immediately calling the police. We don't have to get along but if you can see where I'm coming from and respect it. And vice versa, then we can have some middle ground and mutual understanding. But in order to achieve that we've got to talk to one another and respect each other.

    DD - She saw a fellow student zonked out on the couch with her laptop, cell phone, notebooks and papers right there (this is from another report on the incident). Last I checked, robbers don't bring laptops and study materials with them, nor do they fall asleep out in the open while committing a crime. This was straight up bs.

  • @TheInvisibleGiraffe

    @TheInvisibleGiraffe

    The accuser must not have agreed to her face being shown on camera, so it would be open to legal consequences if the news didn’t blur it out. You can tell that her interview wasn’t set up, the crew just showed up and surprised her at her home. She must have told they they weren’t allowed show her face on tv. The victim likely consented to her face being shown in her interview, otherwise they would have also had to blur her face. she also has nothing to hide, she hasn’t done anything wrong, so she really has no reason to hide her face other than if she wanted to stay anonymous. I think it’s a sign the accuser realizes she’s fucked up and doesn’t want to be connected back to her actions. It’s cowardly, and I think she should face consequences for her actions, in this case though, the news hasn’t got the right to show her face without her consent. She unfortunately hasn’t been charged or convicted of any crimes as of this video. If she does, that will likely change.

    +Warren London, I can almost understand why though. The title "white privilege" paints images of extra being its due to being white, so when your a white person just fighting to get by you hear that term and scoff. Privilege, where's this privilege I'm supposed to have? They don't realize that it's more like Non-White disadvantaged. Most white people don't even have to think about having the cops called because they ask to borrow the bathroom key while waiting for someone at Starbucks, so they don't understand that its things like that that make up what is called 'White privilege'. That's it's not extra perks, but less hassles.

    hey WTNH why would you blur out the 911 caller when we already know what she looks like, wth. you should do a news story on that individual and ask her why. she sounds like a trouble maker that has more time her hands and who seems to not like what she sees and goes out of her way to cause chaos instead of order. what was her self entitled views or George Zimmerman behavior that shoots first then ask questions later?!!

    armistead gwathney the other black person she called the police on was a black male. And he has been interviewed on other programs. He is a friend of the lady she called the police on. He came to the dorm for a meeting. He got lost and asked her for directions. She said he made her feel uncomfortable and promptly called the police saying he didn’t belong there.

    armistead gwathney that’s why you know she is lying because she said she didn’t know the woman sleeping in the dorm. But she did because she had an altercation with her about the guy who she called the police on. She’s a liar and a racist.

    Valencia Mcneill that's exactly who my aim is at the media but the biggest problem is us, we get on these shows and air our dirty for the chance to say ooh look i was on jerry Springer or Maury povich not caring if they are being mocked. One of the most disrepectful thing to happen is that love and hip hop shit when they basically created two porno stars and have this black women abort her child and turn around and get pregnant by the same guy again, I understand why this happens, negative images And reinforcing stereotypes news flash black people the media is not your friend

    K Adams Agreed. I tried watching Love and Hip Hop years ago. Couldn't do it. Made me sad. All those stereotypes and dysfunction all-in-one spot. That's where the universal disdain comes in *_to add to_* the universal fear. They work hand-in-hand. And you can say, "Well, they don't represent ME, or MOST black people." But so WHAT at the end of the day? *_PERCEPTION_* is the reality that racists act on. And most of the time they know good and well that they *_don't_* perceive a threat or a criminal, but they just want to make you *_FEEL_* like one. So they follow you in the store as if you're about to steal, call the police because they _can_ , seat you by the restaurant kitchen or bathrooms, etcetera. They get off on micro- aggressions.

How many have died ? I'm sure you will spew some bullshit like they aren't really religous or some nonsense along those lines yet 8f you actually read the bible,quran or whatever stupid book you would see how evil religion is.

    86Wutang86 LOL. Way to mis the point. Let's make sure you don't miss it again. 99% of black people are FALSELY perceived to be FALSELY *_100% represented by the ONE PERCENT_* criminal element. *_ALL WHILE_* the black population is *_SIMULTANEOUSLY and ACCURATELY_* perceived as being faithful-every-Sunday churchgoers, known for megachurches, an entire music genre, famous gospel singers, christian movies, christian theatre, christian books/novels, christian television, fueling the economy every Easter Sunday, *_ETCETERA_* . In other words, *_It's not ABOUT every churchgoer being sinless angels. It's about letting REALITY --- not an illogical, racist interpretation of a statistic --- have SOMETHING to do with the way you THINK and draw CONCLUSIONS_* .

    Good attempt at a red herring by the "journalist." How can you compare a robbery to a white student making a false report to the police against a black student to illicit an arrest? The language of this reporter was clearly more sympathetic to the perpetrator than the victim. Very biased reporting.
