We treated each other with far more respect and manners in high school, and this was considered, at the time, a somewhat "rough" school, had a Sherrif's substation on campus (back then, that was very unusual). If there was gonna be a fight, it was agreed on and when the loser said "okay I give", the other guy stopped. Today, cowardly attacks, groups of guys gang kicking a girl, no honor, back-biting and thuggery are admired.

Astounding how the relatives of the 2 criminals are void of feelings for the victim. I remember being in court, and I had to testify against a cab driver. I wasn't doing too good with the questions from the attorney, because I really didn't want to be a part of what was happening to this Taxi dude, and the judge, who looked and sounded like James Earl Jones, let me have it. This was in Boston. Taxi dude got 6 months for holding onto my sleeve, not even in a violent way, while the person I was with, was fighting with him over a freaking dime. That's 10 cents for those who don't know. Legal system is like this huge set of gears, and it has slow, crushing force. Even if it snares your sleeve, your foreseeable future is not your own. This death should not have happened. And a fight in a court room is just really disrespectful.

***** Yeah, sure, I'm a grammar Nazi, Rank me to the dogs and back, man, it's been done before. And it's true that some people don't know what they're saying, and say things for no other reason that they can, no matter how nonsensical. I agree with you there. But I don't see how I was "whining". Actually, I was ridiculing, making fun of you. Old? I'm only 50. People on both sides of my family usually live 100 or more. Nor do I see how I could be "simple-minded" and "dumbass" while at the same time a "grammar Nazi". The first two insults are mutually exclusive to the third. "Passive aggressive", well, now you're just pulling insults out of hat. Whatever the case, it's just that if you have something important to say, why not say it right and in a way that people can read easily? What's more, I do pay attention to the structure of an argument beyond sentence structure, spelling and grammar, otherwise how could I have picked yours apart so easily? Lack of any of these aspects only lessens the validity of the arguer. It's a source of great entertainment for me to cut people of subhuman intelligence down to size. Thanks for that, by the way.
