Strongman Stone Training Session - Brian Shaw Natural (not atlas) Stone Training

Спорт

Strongman Stone Training (atlas stones, natural stones and Husefell stones) will be covered in detail at our new strongman training program StrongmanAcademy.com
This stone training video above was one of my first exercise sessions training with a run of natural stones leading up to WSM (world's strongest man) 2012. The weights are 220, 275, 300, 340, 375 lbs. Natural stones are a strongman event that was included in the World's Strongest Man competition in 2012. I always train and workout for strongman events that will be in the upcoming event if I know exactly what it is. The training technique with atlas stones is a bit different than with the form used for natural stones. I will show you how to lift atlas stones as well as these stones, which could be added to your home gym since you may already have them in your back yard!

I've always kind of wondered, do you have issues with splitting your hands open with the ultra-heavy weights you lift? I know normal human hands would break in two with the weight you move, so just kind of intriguing to think about.

I would imagine he has developed the right technique to avoid those kinds of things. Plus since he does it so often, he would have callused hands the likes of which us mere mortals have never seen.

Actually stones are not that rough on the hands, but they destroy your forearms. You end up RAW every time, this is why you see more and more strongmen using sleeves
