When are you going to help harmonize the industry and put together a strongman season that considers athletes safety, creating different weight class and helps develop athlete pay? Be great to see an international grip event as well.

Only Brian Shaw would look so defeated trying to pull the weight of a male elephant. I think this event will be tough for active competition because Brian just retired recently. It's not like he started skipping meals or days in the gym.

@@josephdover198 Agree, what he demonstrated there was probably too hard for competition. He is one of the best arm-over!arm pullers in the world, so his performance would be on the high end of the competitors could do.

Kerry is a fucking g. You can tell they’re best friends before soulmates, with chirpin like that you know that’s no ordinary love. Only when your mans is so buff he can literally lift anything that when he doesn’t you’re like wow ok so it is heavy 😂

@@josephdover198 it might even out, brian's lost weight and is retired..working on grip and armwrestling, and on the other hand retirement at this point can also be seen as he's rested and healed up and is actually stronger than he's normally be in a year of doing competitions and in the competition the guys will already be a bit tired by the time they do this event..so it probably events out, this tournament is the big kahuna though, brian brings the pain and the know it all I know is I like events that feature items I can get an idea of the weight by looking at it, I like the spectacle, I honestly wouldn't mind if the atlas stones were replaced with something else, I'm just tired of seeing them

@@Mirriam02 what was insane about those events when it came to Brian is that everyone else would be dying and need a oxygen mask. Brian would just stand up and start talking to the camera. Barely breathing heavy. He has always had very good cardio for his size.

@@auril92 Denis armwrestling one of these would be more impressive. Just as an example, I'm pretty sure you can move a pickup truck in neutral with less than 100lbs of side pressure. I know that the truck Denis was armwrestling was slightly bigger, but it's not as much weight as you might think.

I love how the test to see if it’s humanly possible for the athletes is Brian just showing up and testing it himself.

The good thing about farming equipment is: 1) looks cool 2) theres a lot of heavy things around that you lot could lift I just like the idea of a "themed" strong competition in general because theres so many avenues you can explore

Even if Brian Shaw wasn't the unique massive top strength athlete he is, he would still be a role model for many people, just judging by his character. I've never seem him be arrogant or unfriendly to any random person. That speaks volumes

maybe take the water out of the tires, haha, I'm kiddin', I'm sure if WSM did this they'd just put on road tires i really like the tractor idea, or the farm equipment theme, lots of possibilities, they can even load the bucket with sand bags or tractor parts, tire flips..who knows, it's definitely a step up, I do like seeing Brian's new contraptions though

He explains that it's a medley. One side you will lift and push the 3,500 pound baler. Upon completing you will transition to pulling the tractor.

Such a cool idea to use farm tractors and equipment as the weights for an event. Not only am I sure that dealership could use the publicity an event like this will bring but also just farmers in general. Those pieces of equipment are very expensive and are a required part of farming. Most people do not realize that today there's no way for a farmer of any decent size to not go into huge amounts of debt just to plant, let alone buy and maintain all the equipment required. That debt, other than certain loans, has to be paid at the end of each year. So if the harvest doesn't come in as expected there's a chance of having to carry debt year to year. Which as you can imagine is a very bad thing, higher interest rates and such. That is why we see so many farmers going under or being bought out by much larger operations. The risk to reward is becoming just a break even scenario for many or worse can result in loosing ground that's been in families for generations. Brian you are definitely an individual who thinks outside the box and are spreading the blessings the Lord has given you. Take care and God Bless...

I am so glad SMOE is focusing on pure strength. It really does live up to its name, as opposed to WSM. I think WSM doesn't really consider peak strength, but more who is strong and also quite mobile. I think fans want to know who has the most raw power and strength.

This was so hilarious to me because my dad goes to these tractor dealerships to look at new equipment and dream of getting new stuff. You look at it to see what you can lift and pull 🤣 cracked me up!

The trailers in the right hand background at the 7:51 mark could possibly make for a great base for a pull, as with their body type you could adjust the contained weight, thereby increasing the weight to pull as the competition progress's.
