My 10 year old Shih Tzu just had a stroke on November 3rd 2021. The worst and scariest day of my life! She’s currently on Amlodipine, Clopidogrel, & Denamarin. She has made so much progress in a week💕

Hi me again. Just giving an update on Paddy. Paddy unfortunately has to be put down a fortnight ago, he had a really bad seizure for 15 mins and the second my parents got him to the vets they’d discovered a tumour in Paddy’s brain and it’s been a tough two weeks since he passed.

Update: 4 weeks - 100% recovered. Was walking in circles for a few days and slowly began to walk normal, now running and playing. ...Just as well I did not put her down like the vet suggested.

@@MELODYMUNROThanaks for placing an update. I think my dude had one…terrible shit. It’s day two and because he is such a badadd he is walking barely, finally. The vet didn’t see symptoms but today his eye twitches up and down nonstop. I got ready to make plans to put him down as there is now way I’ll let him live a shitty life, but, comments like yours give me hope

Update: 🎉 *WE GOT A NEW PUPPY!!!* 🎉 He is a blue roan show cocker spaniel and his name is Louie! He was born on September 19th, 2022 and he came home with me and my family on December 17th last year. He is absolutely adorable and wonderful and he has been helping us all mend the great big gap in our hearts after Paddy’s passing. Louie loves people and he loves to flop onto his back to rub his belly. Louie does have his funny 5 mins where he has a case of the zoomies when he just sprints around the room, jumps up onto people and lick their faces and just goes mental! He’s really cute and we couldn’t be happier! 😄😄

My dog had a stroke back in November of last year. Paddy, that’s his name, is quite elderly he’s 14 in dog years and he couldn’t eat, drink, walk and even see! Thanks to very talented veterinarians he is taking medicine twice a day to prevent it from happening again. He’s currently improving as he is standing up on his own and he is eating and drinking. His sight, walking and hearing isn’t great but he’s doing a lot better than he was thanks to medical attention that Paddy received. My mum had her suspicions about what happened to him, a few weeks later after Paddy was able to stand on his own, my dad took him to a vet who asked him some questions about what happened to him like “was his eyes going back and forth?” “Did he have a loss of appetite?” “Could he stand up on his own?” Stuff like that. My dad answered the questions truthfully and the vet told my dad that Paddy had a stroke, which had confirmed my mum’s suspensions. It was hard for me not to cry to see my pooch like that but he came into a family of fighters and Paddy came out on top!

@@SEVNeurology just to give you an update on Paddy he has gotten a lot better, he is taking his doggie aspirin to prevent it from happening again. He doesn’t go out for a walk anymore, because his sight hasn’t gotten better. but he does go outside for a wee and a walk around the backyard. His head is on one side and does have the occasional moments which scare the living bejesus out of me most days and he does have a tendency to fall over when he goes crazy.

My 14 years old friend had a stroke this sunday (vomit 5 times, swaying, zero water and meal on his own, I gave with syringe everything). First I thought it's a vestibular syndrome, but doc told me it's a stroke. The first day was the worst, on the second day he was the happiest dog in the world, when we went to the doctor's office. On that thay he got the first medicines (steroid, antibiotics + 2 heart meds). On the 3rd day he ate his favourite meal on his own. Today is the 4th day. Pompom's walking is normal again, his eyes are normal again, his heartbeats are okay, drinking and eating on his own. I think it's a miracle!!! Or karsivan made a miracle (I gave him before the stroke everyday, because he is really old)., Or the doc's medicines made a mirace. But this is a true miracle!

Hi. My elderly pupson have a recent stroke a week and a half ago. He lost a lot of weight, and his head tilted to his right side and walked in circles, he could look for his water and food. The past 4 days he lost his energy and was unable to walk, so I'm changing his diapers 5-7 times a day now, feeding him from a water bottle, and now using an oral syringe. I know this brain surgery in a dog is super expensive. Is there pet insurance you would recommend for a low-income parent that is desperately trying to save my senior pupson?! My pupson is 16 yrs old. He's a blue heeler mix medium-small dog. I live in Richardson, Texas, are you guys located in this area?!

Ok. Any insight. My standard poodle who turns 3 next week has had a second episode of what I’m about to describe. He went from running fine and being fine to unable to walk, loss of bladder, drooling, and slight bobbing ( more of a panic ) along with falling over to one side when trying to walk. It never got to a seizure. More like when a dog try’s to get up after having one. I don’t know what it was so any insight is greatly appreciated.
