I know John Candy's humour was predominantly slapstick, but boy was it GREAT.
John Candy - you'll always be a legend thanks for the fabulous comedy memories, RIP.
80’s movies are the best RIP Uncle Buck
WOW John Candy 1994. Where has the time gone
I see these videos and think what a wonderful time it was to be alive and what an honor it was to see these great actors at their best. They made us laugh, cry and enjoy our lives. Miss all those that have passed on. It also makes you aware of just how fast life passes us by and your own journey to the next life can possibly be right around the corner. Live life to it's fullest everyone. Be good to others. Life is short. Leave a positive legacy of your own.
Great movie! Filmed in downtown Louisville KY and FT Knox. My father was an extra in the opening scenes walking down the street. He’s passed on now but when I want to see him there he is on screen...and yes I own a copy of the movie....
Man I had no idea Bill Paxton was in this and looking very silly. RIP Bill

I had been in the Army for two years when this movie was released, and I remember laughing my @$$ off. The humor slowed down after they graduated.
I love these so much... thank you for continuing to do them !
Perfect intro loved this video!!

whoyoukidding1 With Stripes being his favorite movie, Men’s Warehouse founder was originally going to have that be his motto: You’re going to like they way you look. That’s the fact, Jack. But someone told him that sounded a little tacky and unprofessional. So he changed it to: I guarantee it.
John Candy was one of the truly great ones. Planes, Trains, and Automobiles still makes me laugh outloud. I've watched it no less than 100 times. "Most of that will buff right out"...priceless 😂

I’d been out of the military for three years in 81, I laughed my butt off in the theater! Two years later, went back in for 20 more years. Coincidence? Maybe!

They will never make movies like this ever again best era for both movies and music
That was a great military movie 👍. I laughed a lot during that movie. I was only 18 years old in 1981 when it came out to the theater. Great movie. Rest in peace to the ones that have passed away over the years.
that sure touch my hearts to see commenters mentioned John Candy a lot more than any other actors. He truly legend and always missed a lot. I wish he live for another 30 more years and make lot of movies. unfortunately heart attack cut his life too short :( you knew you will not see another john candy or will not he not make any more movies. RIP Uncle Buck!
Love this! Thankyou for sharing this with us 🙂
Where does time really go? I can remember watching these movies when they first came out. Watching the video actually made me sad to see that some of the actors have passed. R.I.P.|
a lot of gems in this movie! thanks so much for the video!
You guys always manage to get me to shed a tear or two. Love looking back at memory lane to those good ol' days! Seeing all those actors and actresses from my fab movies or tv sitcoms as they have changed through the years really is emotional for me. Love your channel, thanks so much!
“ my therapist said I swallow a lot of aggression, along with a lot of pizza’s...ha ha pizza’s”....
I love the background music. A little sad. A little haunting. Times and people, gone forever. John candy. Only 43 when he died. It’s sad and makes me cry because no one is immune to time.
Another great video, I love your work.
love this vids good work
LOOOOVE the music and your respectful remembrances of these actors!!!
One of the funniest movies ever! Thanks for sharing this!
Sure are a lot of actors that weren't known then, in this movie, that are well known now.

Actually Bill Murray was more well known as he was a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1977 to 1980 and was in the comedy Meatballs in 1979 and the classic Caddyshack in 1980. Harold Ramis had been in movies before Stripes and was a writer for movies like Animal House in 1978 and Caddyshack but was more known as a writer, producer and directed some films. He became more known after Stripes for his long time working relationship with Bill Murray. John Candy was an unknown in stripes then as was Judge Reinhold who both became comedy stars in their careers.
Einer der besten Komiker , er war einfach SPITZEN KLASSE 👍😃👌 DANKE JOHN Candy für all die witzige FILME !!!!
Went to basic in Fort Knox in 1986, the reception station was the same one we used and the barracks it was filmed in in the early 80s was 2 blocks from us, what an awesome movie!!!!!!
I love the music in your videos. Compliments the video so well. Watching this, I remember how much I loved the movie Stripes as a kid. Still watch it to this day. A great movie with truly great actors
A great review of an all time favorite movie. Excellent presentation. Thanks.

I also joined the army in 1981. Always loved this movie.
I did basic training Fort Knox. Many of the places on Knox where this was filmed, in was also at. The main. Room where they get off the bus and the drill Sergeant says you don't sir me I am a sergeant, I work for a living. Back I 1992 I was in that same building. It was the 176AG Reception Battalion. When. I got to basic training that room looked EXACTLY like it did in the movie. I can tell you every place in that movie were it was filmed at Fort Knox...
I've never forgotten john candy.
J'adore tes vidéo !!!!!! C'est génial
Damn P.J Soles still looks good
I still remember hearing of John Candy,s death on the radio, very sad day.
“What the hell kind of training you’ve been up to, son?”
I love this movie. Thanks for the laughs. ♥️🤣
The background music further increases the feeling of man's powerlessness when facing time's relentless passing.
Life is so fast I was 20 years old when the movie came out now I'm 58 lol

AWESOME !!!😁🎈😁🎈😁🎈😁🎈😁🎈😁🎈😁🎈😁🎈😁🎈😁🎈
Cool that they didn't forget to include Sammy Maudlin and Bill Needle.....
Bill Paxton was in everything great!
I used to watch this movie all the time. Scary to see how many heart related deaths. Yes were all getting older.

Doces lembranças de um passado maravilhoso. ❤
I watch these videos and it's truly sad. The same music theme gets you thinking. All I can think of is "Time". The day we were born, we celebrate time...birthdays, anniversaries, etc. However, the day we were born, our "Time" winds down. The number gets smaller every day until we are gone. We need to make sure we do the most with our "Time" because it's not finite. I look at a lot of these actors and think of all the accomplishments they've had since.
pj soles looked so cute in that army uniform!
I entered the army in 1981 at Fort Knox where this was filmed
Lean,mean, fighting machine!!,oohh Chaka,lakka uhuh
. Looking back is good now and again but that's it you have to move on.perhaps what this upload highlights is ( we ALL age ) that we should try and live a good life enjoy the moment and every day try and be a better person than the day before. Some people aren't dealt decent cards at outset or may be some of us are down on our luck but somehow we have to try.
Bill Murray looks the same just the hair is a little lighter.RIP Harold and John.

And they're buying a stairway to heaven
A lot of these actors were 30 years and older at the time of filming, who ever heard of 30 year old boots, they should have been late teens and early 20's
I think a new remake of this film could be produced.
What was Dennis Quaid doing as an extra in this? He was already a fairly well-known actor.
🧨🧨
gonna watch this video 2049 when i will be 69 as bill murray
How about doing Foul Play, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller and Tombstone?
Dave Thomas (a.k.a.: Doug McKenzie & the older brother of Ian Thomas; my favorite musician EVER) was fuckin' HILARIOUS & AWESOME as the M.C. @ the bar where the mud wrestling scene occurred. Along w/Rick Moranis, the Thomas Brothers (Dave & Ian) r ENTERTAINMENT ROYALTY A.F.A. I'm concerned.
