The music makes me emotional.....my childhood Has gone and i am old now...
The music is neither happy nor sad. It's calming, comforting and reflective. Simply beautiful.
Richard Dawson made a good BAD guy. I loved it when Arnold said I'll be back and Dawson replied "Only in a Rerun" classic!

Gee purrs agree. Always loved that line. What I didn’t know until recently was that Richard Dawson was an actual game show host at the time.

I still think "Now that's entertainment!" is a better punch line at the end for Arnold Schwarznegger instead of "That hit the spot!" when Damon Killian goes through the billboard because it would be a fitting end to a sadistic game show host.

Richard Dawson was actually a host for Family Feud. The funny thing was there seemed to be a lot of complaints about him from women watching him on tv. He would literally kiss the same woman/ women multiple times in one episode.

Erland Van Lidth had such a great voice, his singing in the film Stir Crazy is very moving... heartbreaking how young he died 😥

Actually it wasn't him singing in stir crazy. He was a great singer but he had larengitis at the time and he was gutted that someone else has to sing it in stir crazy.

Visiting the local video store on a Friday or Saturday night was such a classic family outing in the 80s and 90s. It wasn't just about hiring a movie, there was also the social element where you'd see friends from your neighborhood and have a chat as well. Nowadays, everyone stays home streaming everything and staring at their phone. It really is insane to think about how much life has changed.
The 80s to the mid 90s had so many great movies. Going to the drive in or theater or going to the video rentals was the best. Who would've guess things would turn out to be like it is today. Now all that is left is the wishing to go back and do it all over again

It’s so crazy I can’t watch any new movies. The 80’s and 90’s were a golden era and we didn’t realize it until now.
Dey Young, just as gorgeous at 31 and at 64. Wow!
I think i will remember this haunting sound track as i lie on my death bed

Agreed, I feel it didn't get the recognition it deserved. It's classic 80s Arnold 😃
when I was 20 I went to discos. I had a white suit. people thought I was John Travolta with my flowing Italian long locks, chicks dug me. Now at 63 I shave my head because it’s all white and not much. The other day I saw a picture of John Travolta and now he shaves his head, So I realized I still look like John Travolta.
They should've made a 30min Captain Freedoms workout video.
what a great cast in this too. arnold , jim brown , jesse ventura , richard dawson , yaphet kotto. mick fleetwood , sven ole thorson, maria conchita alonso
Don't squander your youth, folks. All these actors are immortalized in film. If you're an actor, good for you! If not, make your stamp on society. Your youth will pass quickly.
RIP yaphet kotto from Alien to James Bond and The running man, you’ll be greatly missed.
I generally don't pay much attention to directors. I'm happy to know this was directed by Paul Michael Glaser. I've loved him since Starsky and Hutch.
Time waits for no one. Life is short so enjoy it and make the most of it before it’s over. What a film!!!
I would see so many good movies in 1987. Wall Street Beverly Hills Cop 2 Predator Untouchables Robocop Running Man Stakeout Dirty Dancing Living Daylights Lethal Weapon Fatal Attraction The Secret of My Success Today I would be lucky if I saw one good movie at the theaters. I miss being young and having fun.
Your videos are amazing! I get goosebumps and teary eyed every time I watch one. Thank you.❤️
