Great to hear and see you out and about. That is quite the oversight by DJI regarding the auto power off not being controllable without the receiver. That pose for the jeans! 🤣

Good point on the mic. Before i got the dji mic 2, i bought a USB C adapter from Amazon for less than a tenner and a Hama notebook mic, also for less than a tenner. The quality is very good and easily comparable with the dji mic 2. In fact, if anything, the DJI mic gain can still be a little hot even on -12 whereas the Hama mic low sensitivity really helps for motovlog use!

Sounds fine, I must admit I would never want to be thinking and constantly checking my mic battery's are charged.. Its bad enough keeping ontop of camera battery's. Track day will be cool, I haven't found my dji mic turning off tbh, that's odd. Have a good week 👍🎤

My slippy conditions started at 8 pm last night and continues at 4:30 am. So far about 4" of snow and massive amounts of salt to follow. Beware of lake effect snows of N E Ohio in the states. 👍👍5🏍🙋‍♂️

Dave there are tons of usb-c lav mics on the market. Saves even more money by not having to buy the DJI adapter.

Hi Dave I think it sounds a bit better to be honest the DJI audio adapter also lets you charge / power the camera whilst in use from a power bank so you don't need to change / carry extra batteries.

No problems with my stand alone Mic 2 Dave, you may need to update the software? I think the lavalier set up is fine, regarding clothing I use the Roadskin jeans (AAA) with a drop liner lighweight Halvarssons jacket (with upgraded armour), you can buy a special belt to connect to the jeans. Richa Slick boots are great with this set up. My normal cold weather set up is Halvarssons laminated but they need replacing so I’m looking at Dainese or Alpinestars replacements.

Any excuse for a spin is a good excuse, and you got brownie points 😂. Awesome bike that 765

Love your videos man. I can't possibly agree more, the rev counter is so unimportant to me. When I am riding I keep it in that butterfly mode and I go by noise, how I ride every bike and every car. I really need to figure out the boots and gloves you have see if I can get those in the states cause everyone just suggests silly things that would be good in California, I am in Wyoming. My mileage is at 65mph about 50mpg. At 70mph about 48mpg. At 80mph 43mpg. Our speed limits in Wyoming are pretty high compared to many places, freeways are 80mph and numerous normal highways (one lane going towards eachother) are 70mph. I am confident now in 135 miles of no worries per tank, I think I could stretch it out to 150 miles but I would be nervous.

Great work keep it up. I'm a VFR man so I enjoyed your VFR content. I had a 2007 RWB 25th anniversary and currently have a white 2014 VFR with pearl white wheels. I consider the VFR one of the best all around bikes ever made. One question I like the street triple 765 RS and would consider one. Would you sell your VFR to get a street triple RS if u can have only one bike. Thxs.

You asked about the sound quality. When you weren't declaiming, you sounded quite quiet, like you were mumbling. I don't know if that is an effect of the mic, or you were mumbling.

Morning Dave. Interestingly I can’t really hear any significant difference in the audio, which is good for me. As you know, I am using the DJI mic adapter and Lav mic set up at the moment, which works well, but it doesn’t sound quite as good as my previous set up, which was a much cheaper option. This was a Saramonic usb c to 3.5mm adapter, then an inline 3.5mm headphone rotary volume controller, set to max (it just adds a resistance which makes the mic less hot, if you know what I mean), then a laptop mic from Amazon (no longer available unfortunately 😢), with recording volume set to -6. I only changed to the DJI set up to tidy the front of the helmet, and as I was having issues with corrupt files, and footage/audio not being recorded). It would be handy to know what recording level in the camera you were using on this video ? Great video as usual. Cheers

Hi Dave i have purchased the Mic 2 after watching your video. You say your transmitter turns itself off after 15mins or so. Well ive used mine for a few weeks now and mine stays on for the duration of my ride . today i rode for 7.5 hrs without mine turning off. the only time it stopped was when i got home and stopped it. Sadly i cannot say the same for the dgi mic adapter which stopped working after 3 days of using it. Additionally ive since tried to use a C adapter and trs lav mic without the adapter but this doesnt work now either. the mic works on other cameras so it looks as though the adapter is U/S.

I’m off to Pico’s in September. Brittany ferry’s say Bluetooth comms are prohibited in Spain and you’ve got to have a “UK” badge, number plate badge isn’t good enough. Have you both come across this?

Hi, yeah I know about the UK badge and that’s the same for anywhere in Europe but I’ve never heard of the Bluetooth ban? I know that all radio frequencies have to be licensed so maybe it’s becoming part of that. Either way, that’s a pain for us motorcyclists.

Do you get any distortions using polarized sunglasses through the helmet face shield?

Hilarious…..moaning about indicators then doesn’t indicate off the roundabout. Love the bike…..really need to ride one to see how leant forward it is, my old neck is a bit stiff and doesn’t give great observations when leaning forward…..hence a reason I love my gs.

An hour and a half drive becomes a 6 hour day out on a bike like that!

Roadskin jeans question re waist fitting is it bang on or tight in other words is it better to go next size up in your opinion, cheers about to order soon.

Hi, if anything they’re slightly larger than normal fitting jeans of the same size m. This is good though as quite often I would wear thermal liners underneath.

I didn’t buy from the Triumph dealer here as they were trying to rob me before I even purchased a bike. I bought from my trusted local motorcycle shop near where I live. 👌
