Stranded And Robbed Overnight In The Woods! When a bad situation gets worse...

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Tim was out letting his dogs play in the woods when he got his Ford Excursion stuck and became stranded. He had to leave it overnight and unfortunately someone came along, broke in, and stole some of his stuff. I took the V8 Willys Jeep up and used my ‪@YankumRopes‬ to pull him out, with a little help from my ‪@MattsOffRoadRecovery‬ soft shackle of course!

I AM NOT GIVING ANYTHING AWAY, IT'S A SCAM. Yes, I'm well aware of the scammer in the comments using my same profile pic and saying you won something. I assure you that you did not win anything, and I'm not giving anything away. I've blocked and reported the comments as soon as I see them, but it's impossible for me to keep up with them. Just report them as you see them, or simply ignore them, but do not give them any information. Now on to the fun part! Go check out all the Yankum Rope quality gear here! yankum.com?afmc=CHR

They sent me a pic! 😀 Trying to convince me… and a comment, ‘why wouldn’t it be true’. I just blocked them! Hopefully they haven’t got any other information off my iPad!

I always have several trail cameras with me and anytime I have to leave a vehicle I put up all my cameras. Never had a problem except one time. Showed the video to the police and the guys were tracked down and arrested and went to jail and I got my stuff back. The look on their faces was priceless !!!!

I have seen the same story over and over. Vehicle gets stuck out in the woods and the owner returns to find it broken into/vandalized/stolen. It really makes me saddened that there are so many people that frequent the wilderness areas that seem to be ready and willing to steal from their fellow man.

I never carried a gun camping in northern Wisconsin but now I will never go unarmedI used to go hunting and fishing and leave my camp for many hours per day but crooks decided I was an easy target..When camping in issolated areas thieves figure they will never get caught so bring deer cams with you when you leave camp or get stuck you can record anybody robbing you and post them on the internet and shame them where everybody can see what they really are.I talked to a guy who worked in yellowstone and had his whole camp stolen there. There is nothing worse than a thief and they need to be treated like the scum they are.

I did a recovery in the snow once. A guy slid off the road and thankfully high-centered before going off the cliff. Left his vehicle overnight. I happened to drive by the next morning when he returned with friends. They couldn't pull him out but I was able to winch him back up. He was very grateful and told me, "I was going to give you some money but someone broke in and stole everything overnight." As if almost falling off a cliff wasn't bad enough...

Because he needed my experience as a diesel mechanic truck driver equipment operator. Some are easy and fun some you work for hours to prevent environmental damage or damage to vehicle being recovered. But it’s all good to get out in nature and enjoy the majestic beauty mountains and Desert

Oregon has been decimated by job losses for decades, combined with a cultural aversion to education. Our graduation rates have always been among the lowest in the country, and when higher skilled jobs open up here they're often taken by people from out of state who are educated.

  • @redmondjp

    @redmondjp

    2 жыл бұрын

@@jamesmccormick2696 But here's the thing James - being educated and having a moral code are two completely different things, and we can see from the banksters and other corporate types that even well-educated people can be thieves. And job losses are no excuse for theft - there are plenty of jobs out there and yes, you might have to move somewhere else to find one. It's been that way in this country since it was founded. We have to stop making excuses for bad behavior in our society and hold people accountable. Drug use/addiction could be a factor here as well.

And I get to see parts of the country that I've never been to. Neat seeing snow in late April. Last time I was in snow in late April was visiting family in Germany almost 20 years ago. My thoughts about thieves are definitely against what YT allows, so I'll keep that to myself.

I don't know why it is such a big deal when he says he is selling a vehicle. I started following him a year ago and at that time he had a Ford truck that he sold to buy this Dodge. He explained that he is going to build a new recovery rig on a Toyota chassis and I just assumed he is selling the Jeep for that purpose; he won't need it anymore. He's just simply trying to better himself and there isn't anything wrong with that. Great video!

Back in the day criminals had a code not to rob from an outdoors wreck or stranded situation. Now they don't care and think 'rich people's' insurance will pay for it already. The guy(s) who did this clearly knew what they were doing so the only answer is to catch them on a trail camera hid in a tree or a dashcam with it's own battery.

I'll give you the same suggestion I gave Paul of Fab Rats. If you have a vehicle like your Jeep that has flat glass, you have the fix sitting in your yard. Anytime school buses get anything so much as a chip in a windshield they have to replace them. Go to the local school bus maintenance shop and see if they have any old windshields laying around. I had a 49 Ford pickup with split front windshield. I replaced both I replace both windshield halves and door glass with school bus windshields. I even had about the 4-inch blue tint strip above the window. They're easy to cut the shape with just using a thread and some lighter fluid and a glass of cold water.

Casey, I don’t know why people think it’s any of their business what you sell or what you don’t sell? I don’t have a clue. I do know that it’s nobody’s business but yours your wife’s. You know what is best for your business, people watching your channel don’t. Maybe they think they do but nobody knows it like you. Take care, stay safe.

You should talk about .....when to drive in the packed snow tracks and when you don't drive in the dirt/mud tracks.

Whenever you're way out deep in the woods and your windshield is covered with mud. Save your water & windshield fluid & use the snow instead if available.

I agree that Monster Jeep looks like just too much fun. If I were a few years younger and a few thousand miles closer I go along to camera for you. Have a great day. Looks like another satisfied customer.

If you want to add some weight to your vehicle. Put windshield washer fluid in the tires. It will give you lots of unsprung weight. Plus it lowers the Centre of gravity. When you’re pulling out with a rope always put a heavy jacket or something in the middle. That way if it comes loose it’s less chance of it killing you. For my own safety I put it a little over halfway away from me. Sometimes what you’re attaching it to breaks loose 🤷‍♂️

A turfer or come along. and a couple of ratchet straps can be very useful for self recovery and much cheaper than a winch. keep them with the shovel in your truck.

Another great save and video, Casey. Viewer's have been accustomed to your rescue rigs so they get concerned if you happen to change anything. Looking forward to seeing the Willys mods, although it is a bad machine right now. Just subscribed!

Thank You Casey, for the warning pinned up top where most can see it. I have gotten so many of these it is not funny. I have reported it to many and some have taken it seriously but I think this simple type of reminder is best. Sorry for your friend getting burgled, some people just suck but hopefully Karma will bite the jerks in the butt hard!. I thought the plan with the tracks was to enjoy getting the most use of the jeep year round, but I know that plans are fluid and life moves on. Mice and Men and all that stuff. :D Enjoy! May it all go well, thanks for bringing us along for the ride. As always, God Bless.

What a awesome video like always....it stinks that we can't even go out and play....and get broken into....its almost like we have to have cameras on our vehicles 24 7 to keep our stuff safe.... Casey you looked like you had a awesome time driving that ..I can't wait to bring me truck up there one day....and try out those traits
