My idea of camping/'roughing it' is settling for an Embassy Suites corner 2-room accommodation!! Yet Bora Bora is literally a beautiful hut built on a platform at the end of a dock & IT WAS LIFE: the people, culture, food, sounds, smells & even the bugs were interesting... I guess its all perspective, as I loved a rustic lil cabin which was build on side of a mountain in Murphy, NC very much as well... Breathtaking Nature can be exotic, rustic, tropical or Mountainous; is all in what one's soul craves, I suppose...

When I moved to a different State it took me about 6 months to adjust. During that time my new place didn't feel like home, and my old place didn't feel like where I belonged. I felt like a ship unmoored. I was happy by the move, it was exciting, but I felt insecure, and lonely at times. I'd have unsettling dreams about actually moving back to my original home town, and I'd wake up up so relieved that it wasn't real. For some people, it's easy and home is where ever they hang their cowboy hat.... for others (especially for someone like me who tends to not take risks) it's a process of letting go and acclimating. Establishing new friendships made a huge difference. It's human nature to wonder if the grass is greener someplace else, but it sounds like you've made your decision based on sound logic. I commend you for being the captain of your ship, and the master of your own destiny. You won't feel unmoored for long, and the people there I'm sure, will love you.

@@kaleyjoplinRAWRR It may take longer to build relationships since social distancing is being encouraged at time when we would otherwise be more outgoing, networking, and making new friends. Try not to dwell on what you miss about home. If you always do, what you've always done, you'll always get what you got. I don't know the circumstance that lead you to move...but if I could go back in time to speak to my younger self...I would have taken even more chances. I let fear of the unknown, the fear of failure, the fear of making regrettable mistakes keep me from reaching my full potential. There's only so much you can experience or learn by staying in one place forever.

This year was rough for her because she made it that way with her nasty, condescending, “I’m better than everyone” attitude painted as advice for others. She’s an awful person. Very unhappy with herself on a soulful level which is why she talks so poorly about others. She says she’s a feminist but says the nastiest, most rude things about female celebrities. Shallon has to have a narcissistic personality disorder

Even your hair is bouncier in Montana. Enjoy! You know what they say ~ home is where your heart is ♥️ not where your friends are. I shouldn't take all the local flora & fauna for granted. There are blue jays, cardinals, a bunny family & some adorable new additions to the goose couple's family. They all live in harmony in the neighbourhood ravine. The humans could learn from them. Having moved every single year as a child, I like the stability of staying in place. And I'm ok with that 🙂

I left NY this year too, after years of planning to leave. I knew all my life being born and raised in NY that it was not for me. It keeps changing for the worst so i got out just in time. For me there was always this overwhelming depressing feeling in NY, no matter if I was in the city or upstate. There is nothing good I can say about NY except that I wish my family left too. It did not take me long to adjust to life in the West, I love it and love the people. I always knew I deserved better, there is always something to do and so much to experience in the southwest, unlike in NY. You do not get your moneys worth at all, overpriced for nothing. At any moment someone else in the building could burn the place down, flood their unit and cave in my ceiling, leave the gas on accidentally and blow us all up or asphyxiate me in my sleep, carelessly let someone in at the front that didn't belong there, etc. Never had to worry about those things in a house.

Montana is wonderful, I was living in Bozeman up until the last 6 months so I can give you a few fun things to do. First off the history is amazing, you have tons of ghost towns you can visit, Virginia City was our capitol before Helena and you can learn about the Rough Riders and Vigilantes (bandits) and other things from our frontier days. If you want to go even older then that, go east to the bad lands and dig up Dino's. Floating down the Madison is also amazing and if you like to fish it's some of the best in the world. Missoula is more of the hippy part of Montana and you can go digging for sapphires in that area. Kalispell is great to go to Glacier NP. I highly recommend doing white water rafting up there and then cheek out Flathead lake and go to wild horse island. Billings is our big city and if you miss....shopping???? or what ever but its eh Butte...is to be avoided unless its time to drink. Enjoy, be safe and if you have any question feel free to DM me. (especially if you have questions about bears as I work with them) Morgan~

Bozeman is so incredibly beautiful. I’m from Pagosa Springs CO so I grew up with the snow and mountains (went to College at ASU in Arizona lol and now live on the SC coast so I’ve literally lived in mountains, desert and beach 🤷‍♀️😁) but I can say Bozeman is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. So sorry to hear you didn’t like London. To be fair I think your experience depends on where you live and who you’re working with. I live somewhere with much more of a community vibe than Marylebone and have always loved it. And really the east is where it’s at for all the London fun stuff. I’ve been both happy and unhappy in London and found that so much of that was about where I was working and where I was living.

I’m so excited for your small town series!! I’ve lived in a small town my whole life. Three traffic lights only kind of deal. I used to travel a lot to a bigger city growing up. It’s a HUGE difference. It would take me days to get used to all of the sirens and traffic noise at night.. I wasn’t used to not being able to walk down the street at night. I can do that here. There’s nothing like waking up in the morning and listening to the birds chirping. Small town living where I live in Appalachia is so misunderstood by media. I really hope you have a great experience. I’ve never felt unsafe living here. I feel comfortable enough to knock on anyone’s door if I ever needed help. There’s a sense of community in small towns that are so rare anywhere else. I wasn’t born here but it is my home. (Btw love your Croatia reference, I am Croatian 🙂)

I’ve moved around so much i swear ive lived a thousand lives in one. I LOVE traveling so much. Loved NYC but got bored so fast. I remember i had never been, i booked a ticket on my own for myself knew NOBODY. Arrived at my airbnb in brooklyn, got an uber to lower manhattan (at 22) and got off at a target, clueless 11pm. Walked all the way up to Times Square on my own, went into Agave bar, sat down had a drink. Its awful being like you said chasing the dragon. I’m 23 now and im trying to actually focus and get shit done and buy a house that i can own and rent out if i want.

First, I wanna thank you for all your truly authentic, honest videos. I don’t comment on your videos often so I don’t feel apart of the “shallontourage” as others (I have submitted questions and bought merch to help support you though!!). Second, this video realllllly spoke to me. I moved from Chicago to the middle of Mississippi without knowing anyone about five years ago (I was 20 and truly did not know a single soul!). It made me grow so much as a person and wow, do I relate to what you are saying with needing the open spaces and actually hearing birds in the morning while sitting on my back patio, nothing in the city can compare to that in my opinion. It was an experience so unique and who I am today is from being forced into situations that made me grow like having to make all new friends and having to learn not only a new town but an entirely new culture. Lastly, while I already thanked you for your videos I wanted you to know how much you helped me through my breakup. We went through it around the exact same time and it was amazing how you would upload videos right when I needed them. Even when my ex then stepped back into my life, you posted a quarantine ex video that same day. (It was honestly so strange how much coincidence happened with your videos lol). While at first he was a bit more ‘fidget spinner’, I had listened to you and knew where to put my boundaries up. This led to him coming back with everything that you had talked about ( I mean he honestly had to have watched the video bc he hit every single point you had talked about) and this has led to an honestly very strong friendship we have now created. My therapist has compared our new friendship to Kintsugi pottery which is Japanese pottery that broke (if it’s fragile, let it break) but then is repaired by gold so you can see the damage that was there before but now the piece of art is even more valuable and proves that the original vase had value to begin with. I have said to all my friends how your videos had made me feel like I had a leg up when I first entered into therapy and that was something we got to bc of ideas you had brought me. So honestly, thank you so much for your videos and I’ll try to leave more comments in the future.

I am so excited for you, I feel like I am going through this transition with you and I wish you the best. No matter what happens I loooove this channel like thousands of woman and I’m so curious what things you will bring to the table! Living there will give you new experiences and girl some of us don’t know how to hold a gun or stuff like that. It will be really cool if you share that side of you little by little and maybe you can film a tutorial on the future on how to make a pen from scratch with pieces of wood hahahahaha ❤️

I would've thought Tennessee!! You hinted at it in other videos so that's what I assumed
