Find your way to fight back, I don't mean violence. There is a guy where I work that yells at people and calls them stupid for minor things, I tell people the best way to deal with him is to look him in the eyes and laugh in his face then walk away. "That would just make him angry" yes it does but what happens is that his behavior changes because he doesn't get the reaction that he is after. Hope that story helps.
