i understand the concept of not getting to their level and not reacting angrily. But what experience taught me is sometimes it works to lower your lever and insult back and fight with anger. They will not fight you again they will leave you alone after a very ugly fight. But thats what works for me. Ofcourse it depends on the situation most times i think ignoring is the best approach but it will not always work.

This happens when someone silently expects something from you. You need to ask him politely what positive changes he would like to see in you. If those changes really make you a better human being, then, you must work on them. Otherwise, keep it going the way you are. Sometimes, our partners are our better critique and they tell us something for our betterment only. Why to see only negative in your husband. Talking it out is the best method. Koi doubt hai, toh seedhe pooch lo, why to complicate a pious institution like marriage.

You need to confront them. I am using this heavy word 'confront" here. The chances are once you'll stand up for yourself snd put your foot down, they'll stop bothering you. Plus, always identify an insult on 2 criteria- a. The one who did is - is that person important to you, then you surely need to address it and ask them why are they doing so. b. The intention behind it - if it is done to improve you, then welcome it with open arms and if it is done only to humiliate you - first ignore it, but, then surely confront it with politeness. Ask relevant questions related to the insult. Leave the person unarmed with your wits, don't stoop down to their level.

That's just one person who is saying that to you. Better to ignore it, and take it like a grain of salt. Just because someone doubted your calibre doesn't limits your strength at all. If the rest of the lot recognise your work, it is more than sufficient to keep you going in your life. If the individual continues to do so, better ask them someday how they'd have done any 'abc' task had they been at your position. Some people think that entitlement is their birthright and they have a tendency to minimize your efforts. You should know that they're the worst tenants to be kept rent free in your mind. Do other tasks that keep you motivated and satisfied.
