"Be frugal with the use of the word like." *proceeds to say "like" half a dozen times in 20 seconds* 🤣 I love it.

Bookstores will be obsolete very soon, especially new ones, the ones with 50 yrs. of inventory collected are the ones that should survive. This is an ego play by Ryan, he'll probably do readings, that's what authors do to get laid.

One day, surely.
Thanks for sharing! The stoic way has improved my life so much this past year.
Really enjoyed this. I live 55 min. away from the bookstore. Planning to head out there in a couple of weeks. Place looks amazing… full of magic

I came here last week and I got your signed copy of The Obstacle is The Way! Thank you for opening up your store!
When you mentioned your Grammy, I spoke at you in my mind and said "okay, let's see how you stoify this honorable mention" and you did not disappoint! I LAUGHED
I love what you have accomplished Ryan❗ Your mom must be proud of you❗
I have this obsession with seeing other writers’ workspaces. I feel like you can learn a lot about each writer’s process from seeing their space. Yours reminds me of when I was working in radio, working out of a converted set of apartments over an antique store in Houston. I kind of miss that space and those days, so this was oddly nostalgic! We’re building a house north of Austin, and currently traveling the US in our camper van, as we wait. But I definitely want to drop by the store and say hello, support you with some purchases, etc. Thanks for sharing this peek into your behind the scenes!
I love seeing things like this seeing inside and behind the people 🙌💕
Love getting an inside look at your work areas. You're doing great things and thank you for introducing me to Stoicism
This answered my biggest question whenever I listen to Ryan's podcasts, especially with guests.."What is that clicking sound?" 😄 So, I feel answered, it's a Zippo lighter, thumb pen clicks or some coin play due to relatable nervous energy. Brilliant insight. Fascinating brain, one that can't helped but be captivated by.
Your tour was a gift just as you are. 😊 thank you Ryan
I love Ryan's writings, and I'm so excited anytime there is a new video release here, I take my time to check it out. It's fine to watch your office's video and the bookshelf is really amazing. Love from one of your fans from Nigeria.
Thank God for that letter you wrote to your dad about how to vote that was the most accurate & incredible piece I have ever read in my life. That’s the kind of thing I wish I would’ve wrote to my parents while they were supporting a tyrannical crybaby for reelection 💫🏆
I wish to meet you in person Ryan and give you a big hug. Your works helped a lot, you helped me change.
You're quickly becoming my go to for stoic knowledge and inspiration ✨ so thank you Ryan and it ngl it helps that you have those ocean blue eyes 💙
I'm always looking forward to your post, for i know i will learn a lot & they are inspirational. I have bought 4 of your books, The Obstacle is the key, Ego is the enemy, stillness is the key and daily stoic. You are one of my favorite Authors.
Awesome behind the scenes tour. Thanks for the tour and the demystification.
After reading you so much over the years, it's great to see this! 😀 Thanks, Ryan.
I begged for this video yesterday, awsome we got it today! Otherwise, thanks for the work your doing! I listen to your books and your content all the time and i will continue doing that. You have impoved my life. I know you wont take credit, but you deliver the wisdom perfektly.
Another great man who did not graduate college! A powerful reminder that "you" decide what you become, not an education delivered by curiculum. Besides, your education really begins after you graduate. Ryan's bookshelf is a testamnet to that. Now when I need to encourage clients that didn't go (or finish) college, I have another name to add to the conversation.
Just pre-ordered your new book on courage. I have all your books. Thank you for all your work.
Love this inside look into your life and work. Super inspirational to me
Ryan’s den: a glimpse of greatness. 🙏
Love what you're doing. Really being a good example. Keep it up ryan. Thank you

You have a wonderful space that gives you what you need. Congratulations!
So cool to see the behind the scenes stuff. Thanks for sharing!
You’re actually a very intense dude! You’re just as much in need of Stoicism as we are! Welcome to the club!
I love the way you spoke of the fan suggesting you be frugal with the word "like" and in true stoic form ignored the comment/criticism and continued. Cheers Nick (Australia).

At first, I thought this would just be about your office, but actually... I got a little insight into your writing process, too. What a nice surprise!
I hope your bookstore is an amazing success! My fingers are crossed for you.
That was wonderful. Thanks for letting us in.
Wow…wow!! One…I live in Bastrop and have purchased books in your store! Two…a fan way before I knew about you being here!! Three…I self-published a book based on my blog back in the day and just could not handle the swarm of media and attention I got from my book. Many offers to revise it and write more. I commend you!! And I have always wanted to own a bookstore…in a small town! You are living my dream! Good for you…and I have a lot to learn and think about!!!
I love the squeaky doors. Ryan you are an inspiration!
So fascinating! Thanks for sharing! A reminder to keep to keep my workspace what's right for me.
thank you for this. I am obsessed with your channel at the moment and this video just satisfied the stalker in me.
very cool. my longtime favorite author. i think my favorite part is that despite having a beautifully perfect upstairs with three different working rooms, Ryan signs books in the kitchen. cheers and looking fwd to Courage.
Always thought I'd heard a Zippo in the background of some of the weekend Daily Stoic interviews. Glad it actually was one and I'm not just hearing things.
6:41 great quote 👍
I didnt get my meditation leather bound book signed :(. Its okay i still love it very much and your introduction is absolutely amazing in my opinion.
My wife and I just visited The Painted Porch for the first time a few weekends ago. We picked up a few titles. Great bookstore! Seems like a perfect place to have a writing office.

Enjoyed this video. My wife was watching but doesn't understand why. It somehow inspires me to be a better person watching this.
I'm definitely gonna visit your bookstore someday, Ryan.
Loved the tour Ryan
This is so Great Thanks for Sharing Ryan
Awesome and very motivating space.
I definitely have to visit this bookstore when I’m in the area!
I LOVE and APPRECIATE all your videos Ryan, but this one was particularly fun! I am curious to see a home and farm tour video, if you would like to share that! thanks for all that you do!
Great little bookstore. I’d love to grab a tall espresso and dig into some books there. Maybe an old atlas or manuscript or almanac. Re read some art of war or Dead Sea scrolls or a how to on Latin or Sanskrit and definitely some Marcus Aurelius
Finally, the almighty of Ryan's bookshelves 🙇♀️
When this video started i shouted : A STOIC VLOG!!! haha love it :)
You inspire me..thank you for sharing Love from india
I like it when you read the postcard telling you to use the word "like" frugally in your podcast, and then your next three or four sentences all contain the word "like".
Love how he shows the postcard from the fan saying be frugal with the use of the word like and then continues on saying like anyways!
Ryan, you are a good steward of stoicism.
Hello Mr. Holiday. My wish is to visit your bookstore one day and buy an English copy of one of your books there. Thank you very much for everything you do for the community and for the philosophy you share with us.
So organized, cannot wait to have that😁
Love your bookstore!! Would love to go there someday
this is gold!
love the fung shui=] I love the totems and the fidget spinners. I have just found my 25 years old kompoloi beads from Santorini-which I will have on my desk.
I also love John Fante. It's an author I knew about last year and I have been reading all his books.
I was really hoping there would be an announcement for the new book :P Great to see the awesome workspace that you have, though! And the bookstore looks great! Plan to visit at some point.
Author of multiple best selling books and still lives such an humble life. Ryan is a classical example of walking the talk with his teachings...
Ryan I love this - could you make a bookstore playlist?
this guys walks his talk!
Thank you for this Ryan. You are an inspiration. I need to buy more of your books. Perhaps order some from your bookstore if you ship internationally.
That's just awesome
well this is now a place i need to visit!

Pretty cool look behind the scenes
Great tour behind the scenes with great inspiration for my own work space.
i've expected something minimalistic 😅😅 Amazing video btw, i really enjoyed it.
This is so cool..
I’m interested in learning your opinion regarding the most accurate translation of Marcus Aurelius’ Memoirs. I would be gratefully if you would share the title and author of the publication you believe to be the most authentic translation.

He has referred to the Gregory Hays translation as a favorite. During the video he holds up two copies of Meditations with identical covers. Those are copies of the Gregory Hays translation.
To the left of the Stephen Pressfield book... was that a collection of Longarm novels? If so, that just made my day. Can you confirm? :)
17:18 “You look like a complete asshole”🤣🤣🤣
I am having hard time waking up and study early in morning
At 11:02, the Dance macabre ; it's actually French, the poster is written in French.
Mr. Holiday, I'm a huge fan of your work! Hey I'm a privacy advocate, please check the scene at 6:22 to blur sensitive imagery as you may have earlier in the beginning of the Video. BTW great job handling the heckling by the Anti-Masker and their KZread comments 16:00 was a joy to watch because you handled their words so well. I'll delete this comment very soon so as to not draw attention needlessly.
It's just great live in the same time partner!
The Decline and Fall of Roman Empire by Giddens, is still very Costly Ryan !

There's an abridged version by Penguin, not very costly.
I can't stop noticing when he says "like" ever since he read that fan card...
7:21 "Be frugal with the use of the work Like during your interviews" Anyways, these are like...
How did you guys build those shelves in the book store, do you have a blueprint for them?
Hey Ryan -Would it be possible for you to share cash mausoleum quote? I can’t seem to find it online.
Impressive
Louis L'Amour on the shelf... nice.
Thumbnail made me think he was doing the Nazi salute. lol. Don’t worry about Ryan, keep up the good work.
Do you regret not obtaining a college diploma? Obviously, you did very well for yourself without one, but I wonder. I didn't graduate college either--I left for mental health reasons and never got back--and I'm struggling to find my place in the world and frequently wonder if that "failure" is responsible, even though objectively I know everyone's path winds a different route.
11:55 Are you referring to the quote, "It is better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt."
What album were you co-producer on?? That’s an awesome fun fact.
2020 definitely made me better but took so much from me, like fk 2020 but at the same time I'm glad went through it, you know?
