I don’t know how I missed this great song when it was first released. I’m excited to be seeing Sting perform at Jones Beach on Long Island next Friday. I read this is on the set list and can’t wait to hear it live! Terrific song! 🎶👍

I cannot honestly say there's a single song from Sting that isn't unique. Every song I've listened to (and I still have yet to listen to all of them) has such distinct sound, progression, and vocals that within the first minute you can tell it is one of *his* songs. But not in the sense of a brand, like he's churning these out trying to recapture lighting in a bottle, rather that he has his own sound and a personal touch in his music. Every note and lyric has a purpose, not a single one was just absent-mindedly put in as filler or to just "get to the good part". Too many songs in the industry are written to get to the catchy chorus or the key change, but Sting's music doesn't waste time nor rush, Sting knows his song's destination and how it's going to get there. Simply put, Sting is a musical genius and millions of people appreciate his work.

I also think Sting is a musical genius and I like him a lot but what he does is not so unique. Believe it or not, Sting was clearly inspired by my song My Mood Shines which I released in 2019 on KZread kzread.info/dash/bejne/eXiOyaufl5exgKw.html and Sting released his song "If It's Love" in October 2021! Judge for yourself. This makes me proud, actually :) For the record, I had asked the person in charge of hotel reservations for the band, during Sting's tour in July 2019 at Vitrolles (France), to give my name "Jo Styl" to Dominique Miller, Sting's guitarist, in the hope that something would happen....

For goodness sake, how can Sting be 70? I love this, even the bloody whistling

Sting-Happy 70th, Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner born Northumberland, 2 October 1951. Originally, a Jazz player in college. Moved to Newcastle and met up with the other members and formed The Police. And the rest is history.. Many, many more Gordon.

Newcastle is it's main or County town and Wallsend is a district of Newcastle, to the North of the City. So yes, yes Gordon IS from Northumberland but he was born in Newcastle and grew up in Wallsend. Ok?

Sometimes my heart grows heavy. I heard this song for the first time today, then this was the first comment I saw. I dunno. I'm not sure why perfection is perfect. I had the exquisite pleasure of dating a Geordie and spending time in everything sting wrote about...from politics, God or non, true north... I just have little time anymore for geography lessons
