I found Madonna the most beautiful in this era. Black hair, slim body, and very feminine. All about her here is stunning and magical.

This song is hauntingly beautiful, one of Madonna's best. And I just gotta say, she looks gorgeous here, dark hair suits her so well. Also, Goran Visnjic in this video, damn, I had forgotten how handsome this man has been.

It's amazing what you can see once the spell has been broken.

More and more it is becoming clear that The Power of Goodbye is her finest song. Of the many mighty ballads of the 90's, precious few were ever sung with such conviction. This is the song she was born to sing, that no other could do justice. A solitary and forlorn voice pleading for an acceptance and a calm that is never going to be achieved. It is a bold attempt, but the hurt is too great, and always was.

WTH!!! I can't believe I never knew about this song or this video until now, April 19, 2023! No one ever told me about it and it wasn't played on my local radio station but it's been uploaded on Madonna's channel for 13 years! Love this song!

Exactly! As a kid who had no access to the internet, I had no idea how she really looks like based on her music videos cause in all of them, she appeared to be a completely different woman all the time. Even if you compare her look from the blond ambition era and, let's say, American life era, you won’t be able to tell that it's the same person, really. Let alone blond ambition and a ray of light-literally, two different women in two completely different eras. And that's why she is the ultimate chameleon and always will be!

Every one of her "looks" is so unique and beautiful. But I really loved this look in the late 90's with the dark hair. There is something about dark, wavy hair that does it for me.

Best album ever!! Still have my original CD!! I listened, listened, listened to this whole album at 10, but at 35, this song hit. My 10 yr self had no idea the heartache associated with goodbye.

I was 37 when I was gifted this cd, it stayed in my cd player for a year never tired of it. This was my one of my favorite of so many on this album. The best concert I have ever attended in Ft. Lauderdale on her birthday her hubby brought out a cake and sang happy birthday. It was an amazing night.

This song is pure gold ! The definition of a genuine pop ballad.

@@skurinski tbh she had already had tons of plastic surgery here. All celebrities have tons of surgery, the difference is that people only realize it if it looks unnatural. Only when Madonna started injecting fillers in her face in the 2010s' people started to realize she was looking odd. Prior to that, most fillers weren't FDA approved so using them wasn't really an option. So when the majority of fillers we know today were approved, a ton of celebrities jumped on the trend hoping to look younger in a non intrusive way. What people didn't know about this new cosmetic enhancement however, were the long time effects. Fillers don't go away, just migrate to other areas of your face, getting you that pillow face. Unfortunately she continued with the fillers for a few years, and although she has tryied to reverse their effect by dissolving them, it's impossible to completely dissolve them since they get too deep into your tissues. So technically she didn't even ruin herself with plastic surgery since when she was only on plastic surgery she was looking great, blame it on the fillers! Fortunately her new facelift helped her a ton, although I gotta say; Her new cheek implants are too huge to look proportional and her brow lift is just so depressing, her old brows had an amazing shape and really gave her an iconic, unique and memorable look. The difference in her face when Madame X was released and now in 2021 is just too crazy, how much she has changed in a two year span. I hope in her next era when she changes her face again, she get a more natural look and remove those fake cheeks 👻

Madonna looks amazing with black hair 🙌. It's the colour that suits her the most. There's also a beautiful contrast between her pale skin and dark hair, not to mention that her eyes are brighter when she wears black hair. It's also interesting that she made her best music as a brunette.

As a child when this song played it grabbed my soul which comforted me. I felt this song must be about things i was experiencing at that time. I grew up with a schizophrenic and abusive father and a hard working mom which was never home. I had to build my own safety spots in my mind.

This song is so true. The irony of loving protecting and holding onto someone who is hell bent on distroying not only your affection but your literal soul. So much so that your only choice is to let go and save yourself.

This is Madonna's best song, as well as the best song of all time. The pain, the depth, the magic - all these combine together and become a masterpiece.

Madonna is such a chameleon. Her longevity has been determined by her versatility and refusal to stay in her lane. This woman gave us Disco, Synth Pop, EDM, Hip Hop, Power Ballads and too many other genres to list. A musical Candy Shop.

I remember when this album dropped. I was 14. I was addicted to this album then, but for some reason listening to it now in 2023, this album seems even more meaningful and has me even more emotional. Great music never dies!!

This album was the gift for my 11th birthday from my aunt. It's quite curious that even being so young, we enjoyed it so much. I used to listen to it every day and I even programmed my music system to use it as an alarm clock... It brings back so many memories. I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one who enjoyed it as a child.

She is simply amazing what she went through her life the untimely passing of her mother and strong father. "Oh Father" is a very emotional song she sang but emulates what so many children went through becoming adult's. Thank you madonna

For every friendship, for every lover, for every family member I've lost, in death or living this song is gospel. It gives strenght to say goodbye to toxic relationships and it helps to understand why others ghost you or say goodbye. The power of goodbye is not the cold shoulder, ghosting or neglect. It's the freedom to move on without any weight on your shoulders. This song will forever be in my life because it gives me the courage to even say to my own son "goodbye" because it was better for the both of us. In Dutch we have a saying: soft approach gives festering wounds. Better to cut clean. To move on or to start up from again.

Absolutely!!!! If anyone wanted proof Madonna's talent then look no further than those two gems.

2024 and I deeply relate. "Freedom comes when you learn to let go, Creation comes when you learn to say no." Wow!

As I grow older I tend to listen to music a bit more responsibly in terms of volume, but this one.. Excused on full blast every time

A masterpiece... such deep meaning in lyrics... the pain and the melody... a masterclass for the yuppies of today... no one comes near to her... the Queen still rules!!!

I hate most of the pop music and am not a Madonna fan. But Ray Of Light is definitely an extraordinary beautiful und great album with decent songwriting. Even people who listen to other genres usually have to admit it is great.
