Exactly, as clear as mud. Now they have given me other choices. 1. Desex one of the sexes. 2. Separate all the dingoes. ( I don't have enough enclosures to do that ) 3. They take away some dingoes and send them to some other " authorized " place. As if that is going to happen. Here is their home, you just cannot relocate dingoes to another premise. They will suffer extreme stress, fear, loneliness and deprivation of their freedom they have here in natural bush settings. It appears to me this Govt has no interest in saving and preserving the dingo. Any desexing is really Extinction of the breed. No one else is allowed to breed dingoes in Qld, so for any Zoo or Sanctuary that wants a dingo they have to buy them from Interstate. The Laws in Qld need to change about the dingo. It needs to be removed from the Feral Pest Class 2 listing and re-classified as endangered or protected. 100's of people in Qld already own dingoes. So under present Law , they are criminals. That is just stupid. It is a $40,000.00 fine if convicted of being in the possession of a dingo with out a Permit, yet you can walk across the border into NSW and anyone can own one. For me to build a further 6 enclosures to separate the dingoes will cost over $7000.00, money I simply don't have. I struggle to get by on a Disability Pension. These new conditions by Biosecurity could possibly be the end of Durong Dingo Sanctuary. Maybe that is what they want? I certainly don't want this, and I will fight to my last breath, but I need help, I cant do this on my own any more.
