The most true and saddest statement I've ever heard. I truly do feel bad, there's nobody that loves all animals as much as Steve. Everybody has an animal that there afraid of or can't stand. Mine is cats. Steve Irwin was afraid of parrots the most alongside hippos. The hippos are obvious why. He said that parrots had to bite him it was their job. LOL

I was 16 when Steve passed away. I'd spent that whole summer reading his book and watching croc files. I cried that entire day and for a couple of weeks afterwards. It was hard. I'd always thought I'd get to meet him. Only a few months ago I fulfilled my dream of visiting his zoo. I hold two degrees in conservation and biology because of him.

I think the fact that it DOES make so many people emotional is a testament to who Steve was. No need to hate admitting it... I think Steve's loss was the most tragic loss in the world of conservation in the last 20 years. He did so much for the animals and the world around him. Such a tragedy.

Why hate to admit it? Be proud of it. He did amazing things and he was an amazing bloke. I remember meeting him when I was 5, he was inspiring even at that age.

It's viciously upsetting that Stevie is gone. But he would be elated to know that he inspired an entire generation to become environmentally-conscious and to appreciate as well as respect all life. He's left his mark on the world and we will always cherish his memory, energy, and message.

Sure we can. It's pessimistic to say otherwise. In fact, I'm sure there were several men with the same passion for wildlife and animals just as Steve had. There will be more still. Passion is shared across the human race. While I watched him on Animal Planet, I felt it just as he did. I used to devour animal facts like nobody's business. My childhood was filled with a love for the natural world.

How he is lucky? I think he is one of the unluckiest person in the world. The efforts he puts in his video is unimaginable. Even many Hollywood movies worse than his works with much much bigger budget spending get way lot views than the total views he got till this day. Even Fox news has 4 times more subscriber than him. At least he deserves 10 million subscribers. It's injustice.

Steve Irwin wasn't just larger than life. He was life. He embodied what we all aspire to be. He followed his passions and lived life to the extreme because he knew that we don't live forever. He just went for it everyday. He has left such an indelible impression on my life that I barely have the words to describe how much I miss this incredible human being after so many years. It doesn't matter what your faith is or lack thereof, but may he forever rest in peace and hope that his legacy will forever remain intact so long as we fight so hard to perserve the wildlife that we encroached upon. We are not here to consume and dominate this world. We are here to co-exist with the multitude of species that we are blessed to have evolved with.

Happy Birthday Steve, you were the reason I am so passionate about animals and the wildlife since I was a little boy. You were a true legend and you will be remembered by me and many others, god bless you Steve Irwin and thank you for the wonderful life you got to share with me.♥️

I was very young when Steve Irwin passed away, so l wasn’t able to see him in action. But l watched so many of his documentaries and Bindi’s shows. He was still a big part of my childhood. He inspired me to do a program at the Australia Zoo called the Joey Ambassadors, when we raised money for the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital. Steve sparked my love for animals, he will be missed dearly

The Irwins have a 330,000 acre wildlife reserve where mining, fishing, hunting, is all illegal. If the don't care about animals, why tf do they have a reserve?

The great thing about steve was that he probably did more for conservation of wild animals than peta and greenpeace combined, he wanted people to love animals like he did rather than trying to guilt people into saving them. He was engaging and lovable and got his message out in a way that made you want to follow instead of telling people that their evil for not doing more.

Hope Robert Irwin becomes a legend like him

Steve was just too real of a person to live in 2022. People like him hardly even exist anymore.

this man lived his life doing what he loved the most and died doing it. that's the coolest thing in the world may you rest in peace Steve Irwin.

Don't cry - Don't cry - Don't. Nope. Nope. Nope. Too much. Steve Irwin was such a legend - there will never be a man like Steve. A man who loved animals so much he'd walk up to a damn crocodile, pick it up and kiss it on the head, and tell her how beautiful she was. No one pushed it to the limit like Steve Irwin, so much respect. His show was a big part of my childhood, and I still watch reruns today. "When I talk to the camera, mate, it's not like I'm talking to the camera, I'm talking to you because I want to whip you around and plunk you right there with me." Rest in Peace, Steve - Missing you always.

We're lucky to have so much media recorded by Steve to share his passion for nature, and bereft that he couldn't give us even more. Good on ya, Steve, and rest easy. Your legacy will always be with us.

Man... I still remember the day he died... I was around only 7-8 years old at the time. it was time for dismissal and I was watching television in my classroom while my teacher was busy with dismissal since I usually stayed in after school care, when a sudden news report interrupted what I was watching. At first I didn't realize who it was until they started showing clips from his show.... I still remember my teacher having to comfort me while my parents came to get me. Such a perfect tribute to a legendary man... Thank you, melodysheep for taking the time to make this. R.I.P Steve Irwin

I know it's saddening he was my hero. animal planet died after he did don't you think so.

I remember hearing on the news about him dying. I was about 9 years old and just did a biography report on him. Bawled like a fucking baby. He was my childhood hero and inspired me to work in veterinary medicine.

+Angelamica7253 He was mine as well. I remember I was at the gas station and I heard some people arguing about whether it was "crocodile dundee" or the other "crocodile guy" that got killed. I remember rushing home to find out they were talking about. So many tears.

i couldn't believe it. I was 8, saw it on the news. Did the same.

This made me cry. You know my school went on a field trip to Australia Zoo. And this video was played and I had to hold my flood of tears back into my head. Damn. Steve Irwin. Australia misses you. You were that one person who taught us to save this planet and we are starting to care. This planet had a blessing. We need someone like him. I miss him. God bless Steve Irwin. DAMMIT IM BAWLING AND ITS THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT

The WORLD misses him. Im iin Mississippi, just watched this and im coming back tears.

While! Steve Irwin!!! ; was one of the bravest and greatest men in the world. He was the best at what he did in life! Crikey!!!!! I miss this guy. Terri and his children's Bindi & Robert are continuing to share that passion!! And message around the world for everyone.!!!😀😀 .

When i saw it at Australia Zoo, i thought it was made by Australia Zoo themselves...Till i saw this. Masterpiece! I got teary-eyed when i saw it and i still do. Steve Irwin wasn't a man; he was a hero, legend, Australian Icon and a big influencer of a now 15 yr old boy (me) that i will never forget. I wish i could revive him and all other saddened icons, such as Daniel Morcombe. I'm not doing this out of greed or spite; but please...Like this comment if you 100% agree with me... The legend, The Steve Irwin! MY HERO....

God I miss you Steve and your gorgeous charismatic spirit. We love and miss you so much. Rest in peace 💗

In 2022 I finally got to fulfill a lifelong dream of traveling to Australia, and visiting Australia Zoo on Steve Irwin Day. Truly the happiest day of my life. Been well over a decade since the world lost you Steve, but i'll never forget you. You made me a Wildlife Warrior and one day I will make sure to instill that love for nature to my own kids. It nearly brought me to tears looking around the Crocoseum, seeing little kids that never got to watch Steve as I did, yet still dressed in khaki and celibrating the life of the greatest Wildlife Warrior that ever lived. The world would be so much better if you were still in it Steve, but I know now that you are immortal in the minds of people. It brings me great joy to know that even after i'm long gone you'll still be remembered. Thank you for everything Steve. CROCS RULE! 🐊💚🤎

I'm just like you.

This was a truly amazing man. He may have died young but he died doing what he loved; getting in natures face. Not many people can say they died doing a job they enjoyed.

Steve Irwin, Fred Rogers, and Bob Ross are all sharing their stories together. All three were such wonderful, charismatic people that put smiles on millions of faces.

This is the stuff that makes me cry.

I miss this amazing man. He made me appreciate animals of all sizes, and understand them better. I was so devastated when he appeared on our tv, and it stated he passed on... I feel horrible for his family... Two kids (and one who wants to follow his footsteps, and even had her own show), and a loving wife... May his memories and lessons live on. Rip Steve Irwin.
