how could you not love Bob Ross? he was such a great man who saw the beauty in everything and everyone, he loved animals, nature and was in war and saw horrible things but some how he was such a great man, he was in the military stationed in Alaska which made him get into nature and grow his move for nature. he hated being the person to shout at people and swore that when he gets out of the military to never shout or yell again.. I bet Bob is in his own paintings right now, living in his happy cabin in his own happy world with happy trees :') I'm 14 and Bob Ross inspired me to get past my disorder that makes it hard for me to do things like draw, tie my shoes, steady my hands, etc, and draw. I love drawing because of Bob, thank you Bob Ross for that. Bob Ross and Mr. rogers. two men who had pure hearts. may you rest in peace "you can grow anything in the garden of your mind.."~Fred Roger's "I believe you can do it."~Bob Ross.

What an amazing guy he was.. the twitch marathon started off as something funny and new, but he dragged me in, with his positivity, his kind words. Seeing the beauty in the little things, the positive side of everything.. I don't know what it is, but i'm so glad to have been part of the adventure, glad to have gotten to know this wonderfull person, but sad to know that we will never see him paint happy little trees and clouds anymore, and share his view of the world with us. After the stream ended and this song played I just cried like a little girl, for the first time in years, and playing this song a day later brings tears to my eyes still.

I remember working in the studio with Bob. Before each filming we all had some magical brownies and as we all woke up Bob was just finishing a happy little painting. Went on to work with mr rodgers and we had mystical koolaid before filming started. That king Friday terrorized everybody.

It's so heart-warming knowing that he actually means all he says, he's not just saying it for the money. (He did this tv-series for free).

And it was kind of a joke, but seriously, every episode, Bob encouraged us to try. Mostly about trying to paint, but it didn't have to be about painting, his encouragement and belief in all of us could extend to everything.

Wow so beautiful and compelling

The reason I basically cried when I heard this is that: I used to have an uncle who died at a very young age of 48 cause of brain cancer. And he looked a lot like Bob Ross, both physically and mentally: he painted almost every day and always taught me that if I wanted to do something I should go out and do it instead of abandoning the idea of doing it. a day after he said this he got diagnosed and 3 months later he died after he kept on painting for the remainder of his last months. He also loved Bob Ross and always painted along. I'm sorry but I felt the need to share this. And as Bob Ross would say "God bless my friend".

I have MS and while I was on one of my treatments that ended up giving me PTSD, I would put him on on Netflix to bring me a sense of "calm" and to bring a smile to my face or even after an anxiety attack due to this treatment, I'd put him on and fall asleep to it like a lullaby! Love this song genuinely and him of course

I still Love this man… his painting style, his method …. But most of all… his personality and his beautiful personality!!

You know, Bob didn't make a cent off this show, he sustained himself doing private lessons and selling brushes. He did this show for free because he genuinely loved painting and wanted to show everyone else how to feel that same joy of creation.

When I learned this I decided Bob was my favorite artist of all time. I prefer portraits to landscapes, and I dig Van Gogh and Picasso and Leonid Afremov’s palette knife paintings, and Rembrandt’s incredible glowing masterpieces speak to my soul, but Bob was just a really good human. His heart is something to aspire to imitate, and if you can paint a picture like he can, too, ok, but man, he was one of those people who made the world better. I

Every now and then I come across a Bob Ross video and he always reminds me of my father. My dad used to love his painting videos. I met with him by my father and i love Bob too like him. Rest in peace Bob and rest in peace dad. I can't imagine a world without him because he gives me happiness every time I come across his videos.

Uplifting fact about Bob Ross: he was a Sergeant, and because he was the kind of people whose job was to yell at you to do stuff, he promised to himself that once he'd leave the military, he would never yell or raise his voice again. This explains his very smooth, friendly voice in his show.

If you download it on your computer and upload it from your local files you can theoretically put it on Spotify. That being said if you add it to a playlist you can then download it to your phone on the Spotify app

Bob Ross was 100% an artist. He created beautiful images.

What's funny is he was actually a Drill Sergeant in the Air Force. He didn't like having to yell and scream at people. He said once he got out of the military, he was never going to scream again. Also, all the paintings he did on the show were all donated to PBS for them to sell for money. He was never paid for being on the show either. He was a genuinely nice guy.

I cannot believe it has been 8 WHOLE YEARS since the marathon was streamed on Twitch! If you were there, you know that it was such a special moment in internet history. A time where we put our differences aside and just watched a man paint, and around 180K of us were watching together at the very end. We need more people like Bob Ross in our lives, and if you don't know who that person around you could be exactly, remember it would only take a few simple steps/changes for that person to be you. ❤

I was born after the time of Bob, but i watched one video as a bored moment and I realized why he was and is loved by all. This world didn't deserve a man as good as him, but he was put here and made many little worlds of his own starting with a happy little sky. Then some happy clouds and trees.
