We are Linnea and Akela. In May, 2020 I purchased our 2016 Ram ProMaster, Togo, to become our full-time home. With this van build, I am using my stubbornness and drive to show individuals that they, too, can convert a campervan BY THEMSELVES and ON A BUDGET, with a lot of learning, rolling up the sleeves, and getting to work.
Our goal is to inspire individuals to chase their dreams... to break from societal limitations and live the life they truly desire. And, to GET OUTSIDE!

OMG!!! That made me cry when he asked if you wanted a piece of pizza. (I'm binging your KZread build vids)
"would you like a slice of pizza" - 7 of the best words together in the English language. :D
I’ve seen a few of these installs and no one ever mentioned disconnecting the battery. If only ppl understood the benefit of step by step when they’re trying to show someone how to do something. I hope you enjoy your new swivel !!
About to test my swivel seat skills now. Following all of your instructions. ~A
I remember when I first started converting my van I was thinking about switching out my seats. Then I heard I needed to unplug a bunch of cables and disconnect my battery and I said Nope that sounds to difficult. I wish I had watched this video back then. You make it look super clear and easy to do. I love the channel.
I love the moment of pause when you are telling about the pizza. I imagine that you are filled with gratitude and are really feeling the moment. I try to do the same thing. People are good!
I haven't read through the comments so maybe someone has already mentioned this but for stripped screws... put a rubber band over the top of the screw and then insert screw driver or allen wrench. It will help you get a grip on it! Works like a charm!
You are a star 🌟 nothing gets you down
You are so great at showing us newbies how to do these complex projects. Hope all your efforts to help us newbies will pay off soon and more of it. You deserve it!!
Omg my internet was cut for soooo long, and i just saw this notification. Imagine my smile when i saw inside of the van

Also i REALLY need to catch up on these vids
When I've stripped out a screw, I've taken a Dremel and CUT A SLOT IN IT and then just used a slotted screwdriver. You could use a hacksaw to cut the slot if it's accessible for a hacksaw.
It is a joy to watch you work. As I continue to work my build, I will continue to watch you finish yours. When I’m ready to upgrade, I’m just gonna follow in your footsteps. 👏🏼 You’ve provided the blueprints!!

Me too!
You have the best disposition. Best to you always
The bolt were stripped because you use allen wrench on trox bolts and use trox socket is the proper tool for it.
Dunno if you'll see this, but it looks like you forgot to add this video to you van build playlist. I've really enjoyed watching the build, and I'm looking forward to seeing your adventures.

Thank you so much!
Another trick for stripped screw/bolt heads is to take a piece of rubber, like a rubber band or some other thinnish piece of softer rubber... You are a trooper. Thanks for sharing...
Strooth mzz pilgrims.. swivel seats ..woow 😁😎jolly good what ..pip pips
game changer in a van u done a great job
👋 hi from Ireland 🇮🇪 btw
Every install seems to be an "adventure"... Never a dull moment. 🙂
Hey Linnea & Akela!!! I've not checked on you in a little while. Great job on the swivel seat installation. As usual, you show your expertise at overcoming challenges. You're teaching a LOT of folks some valuable lessons along the way. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences. 😎
you could use a little 12v light, or light tester to drain the system and verifying that the system is completely drained
You’re killing it on this build! I think it’s great you got gifted a slice of pizza. Good work!!
Love your attitude ❣️
You are fantastic!✊
Good morning from Amarillo Tx
yay ...
Awesome job on the seat! Hey you may want to consider getting what is called left handed drill bit set..they are drill bits that extract stripped bolts. They grab onto the stripped bolt and turn counter clockwise to take them out. Life saver let me tell you!
Thanks for all of the clear instructions and visuals. This helped my install today. I did use the extra lift, rather than cutting off the metal bracket. I did find it a HUGE help to actually attach the swivel to the seat first, and then attach the seat & swivel to the base. My driver side install went so much faster, once I learned that on the passenger side.
We have a Pleasure Way and love the swivel seats! It really expands the living space.
Great job. I’m sure you’ll enjoy.
Looks like that seat is a game changer for you. Great job as usual.
Nice job!
You are awesome. I hope that I can one day have a van and feel as confident as you to install a swivel seat and whatever else I want/need.
Amazing community indeed!😇
Great job, Linnea, but so sweet of that man offering you pizza! Great community for sure. Keep safe x
Fun to watch and gave me things to watch out for when I do my seat.
Thanks, Linnea! About to do mine and this is SO helpful 😊
That was a great installation. Thanks for sharing this.
Almost caught up!!!!
Your information just hit it right on the spot as I'm going to put a civils swivel seat in mine you not only smart and intelligent and humorous but then you're gorgeous 🙂 and no offense meant
Your videos are super helpful!!
This may be premature, since I’m binge watching, but as a mom, you need window coverings for your windshield and front door windows! Just saying...💜
Well Done!!!
Your are AMAZING!
Nicely done! The next time you have a stuck bolt/screw (and you're at Lowe's), get some Liquid Wrench anti-seize lubricant, spray it on the bolt and let the stuff work. Brute force works too, but you could end up snapping the head of the bolt/screw and it will be a PITA to have to drill out the bolt/screw.
you look like a model maybe you are better than most and you are very skillful.
👏🏼👏🏼 love it xx
And it’s in 🙌🏼 haha. It’s funny because this was the very first thing I did in my van and it’s one of your last.
Thanks for teaching us how to do this in this great video with detailed instructions! You have... issues?! 😉 Lol! Don't we all. Three cheers for the generous free 'zza vanlife community.
Happy 2021 good luck w the van btw

Hi I love your videos and you bog is so cute and I love your TikToks
I drop everything and watch
I love you ❤️
Yeaaaaa
Did adding the swivel hardware make the seat higher? I watched a video once that said it did. I've watched several videos about this but no other one has mentioned how the hardware impacts the height of the seat. Great video, thank you for sharing this information.
Another great video!! Thank you!!! I noticed you haven't posted your total cost in a while. Care to share?
those bolts are called Torx heads NOT hex, that's why the allen wrench stripped it out. :)
I have a 2019 Chevrolet Express 3500 LT extended van I am converting to a camper van I have a swivel for my front passenger seat that I have been delaying installing for fear of triggering the air bag even though I can turn off my air bag for the passenger seat via a switch on my dash requiring the ignition key. I’m going take your great advice and disconnect the battery during installation of my swivel seat I don’t know if I will be able to reconnect the electrical wires under the passenger seat after the swivel has been installed, they may be too short. I’m also going to take your great advice and do this in the parking lot of a Lowe’s store in case I need tools I don’t have or help.
Single passenger seats are incredibly expensive in Europe right now. Really sucks cause I have 2 swivel seat mounts but I won't be able to install the second one for a hot minute.
Have to say of all the channels I have watched your's have been right at the top...will be working on my own van soon and your how to's and don'ts have been helping immensely 😊 which is why I subscribed to your channel 🐶 are you done with the build? Or are you still tweaking it?
seems easy :) even better with a slice of pizza :)
😍😍🤩🤘🤘💋
What wheelbase is your van? 136 or 159? Also your videos are super helpful and I appreciate the tutorials so much!
What’s the brand for that external lock?
Do you know if a swivel can be installed on a suspension seat?
my sprinter has no do-dad electrical connector under the passenger seat, no wires connected, maybe previous owner took it out?
Do you or anyone that may read this know if you can install a lowered base along with a swivel on a 6-way seat?
So I tried the link to find out what swivel seat you installed, but they don’t sell it anymore. So what brand swivel seat was this you installed? Thanks!
Where does Akela sit when you're driving?
Hi
What song is at 6:02??
No no,it’s not a swivel seat. I prefer Captain Car 😜😂🤣😂
It was a Torx bolt .. wasnt a allen key bolt
Why are swivel seats soooo expensive 😭😭😭
