We are Linnea and Akela. In May, 2020 I purchased our 2016 Ram ProMaster, Togo, to become our full-time home. With this van build, I am using my stubbornness and drive to show individuals that they, too, can convert a campervan BY THEMSELVES and ON A BUDGET, with a lot of learning, rolling up the sleeves, and getting to work.
Our goal is to inspire individuals to chase their dreams... to break from societal limitations and live the life they truly desire. And, to GET OUTSIDE!

Omg, I need to say, that I literally cried watching this (and also the pocket lights episode). No joking this is the richest and beautiful in emotions series about building a van. One day, I hope I will do it as well, and I will be able to go through all these beautiful emotions, ups and downs, and this awesome pride of making this on my own. Good job girl! I'm really looking forward to every episode and I also keep my fingers crossed that you won't stop posting when the build will be done.

Every day my treat to myself and my dogs is to watch one of your videos. I LOVE you, and Akela and your brother Noah and your Mom. You are amazing! The first video I watched with you and Akela running around somewhere in a forest-I kept “praying” oh be careful please God keep them safe!! Now after watching a dozen of your videos I’m more confident in your ability to stay safe, paying attention to your instincts. I could be your Grandmother but I’ve always had the same spirit of adventure and followed it. God bless you and Akela and be safe.

After watching this video, I had to subscribe. As a retired cabinetmaker, I think you did a great job. On a kitchen project late in my career, I made every draw er box an inch too wide because I forgot about the drawer slides! So I can relate to mathematical errors. But I wound up with some nice storage boxes. You have a courageous spirit and you're developing useful skills. Keep it up, Linnea, and thanks for the videos. Give Alela a scratch behind the ears for me.

You may also need to plane the edges of your drawer fronts to give them a tad more clearance too, as the wood expands with the weather. But you will sort that out, like you sort everything out. Awesome job.

Thank you so much for sharing the frustrations and joy of this process! I’m currently doing small renovations to a friend’s van that I’m borrowing for a month. Because I’m working with what he DIYd together 7 years ago (when KZread didn’t have all the answers!), I’m building off funky cuts and angles, and doing WAY too many trips back and forth to the saws 😅 I’m stoked to do my own build this year, and am appreciating that feeling of wanting to give up until you have kind of a lightbulb moment, and it works! Totally replenishes my mental and physical energy, and I’m so proud of my problem-solving throughout this trial build! I love seeing you go through those emotions as well and it inspires me to just keep at it! I up to date on all your videos (the rad build you did with your brother!) but I’m currently doing drawers and happily found this video 😆

Great job! Most drawer slides have tabs that you use to screw onto the drawer side, they will self-adjust if your drawers don't exactly fit...that way you don't have to make the shims.
