Exactly what I needed to install german designed swivel seat base (Sportcraft) on our 2010 Fiat Duacto. Just a little tricky to align all 6 holes from seat with base, even half a mm gives you issues. Had to drill out one (non threaded) hole a little to make it fit. Many thanks, well done video!

@@oneadVANtureatatime Yes. There will be a pass thru door. (pocket) I think it might be finished by the end of next week but I'm not sure when I can get out of "virus jail" to go pick it up.

I’m learning so much! My Promaster has the Air Ride driver seat! I’m not sure I can modify it with a swivel. I would sacrifice the air ride feature for a swivel. I gotta do some research! Thanks for sharing!

So this did raise our seat up about 1 and 1/2 inch. This does bother some people but I got use to it within a few minutes of driving. Van Upgrades, where we bought the swivel also sells a new lower base that makes the seat at the standard level. I am not sure how the air ride will effect the swivel but it's sure to be more complicated. 🧐 Here is the link if you want to check it out. vanupgrades.com/

Hi Shane. We did not buy the lower seat base(due to cost). It only took me about 5 minutes of driving to get used to the height change. I am 5’10” and have no issues. I hope that helps. 😎

Excellent instructions, thank you for this video as the rotating seat is on our to do list. In a separate topic if you guys get something like a Webasto heater would you mount it under the front passengers seat or somewhere else?

Thank you! Yes, we want to mount a webasto heater under the passenger seat. This is my biggest regret of the whole Van build. We should have done this at the start when we had the money and the tools. It's going to be very tough for us to do it now. I hope that helps. 😀

Hi Dave, Likewise on your tutorial video on how to change the headlight bulbs or the one on changing the battery your instructions are again clear and very good. You show good tricks and shortcuts. I suspect you will be able to answer the following question: I have a 2018 Promaster with factory swivel seats and I find that the driver' s seat in not positioned in front of the center of the steering wheel, it is about 1/2'' out, should of been positioned towards the door. I am curious is your standard seat, with or without the jobber swivel, dead center in front of the steering?

How about another tutorial ? There is a FCA recall for the transmission shift cable (2014 to 2019) and nothing is happening in the field. There is a jobber part available at www.bushingfix.com/ram-promaster-3500-shift-cable-bushing-repair-kit-with-replacement-bushing/

BTW, I'm getting ready to purchase solar components for my 2016 Promaster 2500. You have any videos on van electrics?

We went the simple cheaper route with a goal zero 1400 lithium power station and two 100 watt solar panels on the roof. I am not a electrician so this was an easy hook up but has very limited power. It will run our DC low draw Dometic fridge, a few lights, a fan, and charge our camera gear providing that it is a relatively sunny week. To offset our power needs we run a propane stove and heater. Hope this helps, please feel free to ask as many questions as you have. 😀

Hi there. Now that you've had your swivels for 3 years, just wondering how you like them? Do you find the driver's swivel lever gets in your way when going from front to back? Also did you think it made much of a difference in height? Was it enough to cause sight interference when driving? Thanks.

Thx for the great vid! I just threw mine, after a little wrestling, but wow, I was surprised how you have to adjust the seat in many ways (and steering wheel) to barely get it by the steering wheel. Definitely a bit extra work every time you want to swing it around. I have an 2017, do you have to do that with yours?? Thx!

Yes it is. There is one more plug to disconnect on the passenger side and the rest is the same. 😀

Did you run the airbag, and sensor wires through the swivel? Some swivels do not have large enough holes (MINE) to run the connectors through... :`(

Yes we did, this swivel has plenty of room in the middle hole.

Great question! The highth is fine and I never really noticed it after a few minutes of driving the very first time. That said, we rarely use the swivel on the driver's side. We like to have the van ready to drive away if needed at night and it's not an easy swivel to do without getting out of the vehicle. We would not do this upgrade again if we ever do another build. I hope that makes sense. 😀

It did raise the seat up by an inch and a half. It only took me about 5 minutes of driving to get use to the new height, now I can't tell the difference. The steering wheel blocked part of my view of the speedometer so I did have to adjust it. I was afraid the extra height would be bad but turns out it's a none issue. 😀

Do you know WHERE I could get a swivel for my drivers seat “NISSAN” NV 1500 -- I found passenger not drivers

Hi Linda. I just checked my go-to sites out and struck out on your seat swivel. For what it's worth, it turns out we don't use our driver-side seat swivel because we like to keep the van ready to go just in case we have to leave in the middle of the night. We do most of our camping off the beaten path. Wish I could be more helpful.

That's a good point. I did notice my steering wheel block some of my gauges so I moved it a bit. I was surprised how fast I got use to the height change. I thought it would be more of an issue than it turned out. 😀
