However, based on the current direction that language is moving, one where many words fail to adhere to the strict usages that they previously had, and can instead be placed in a much looser order, it is not unreasonable to believe that, at some point in the future, many people will be able to speak in this manner, and use much of this vocabulary, and still be understood, as English will have evolved to the point where this is reasonable.

Considering the sheer abundance of wacky slang terms that apparently also existed in the 1920s, this is starting to make me wonder if that’s just a thing that happens in the second decade or so for each century.

@@JayIsHellaGay It was basically an experimental pilot episode idea from Adult Swim about a cute girl cartoon character who travels through popular cartoon universes and becomes a hardened badass as she fights to stop them from being corrupted by a dark force causing them to become glitched monstrosities. As an April Fool's joke Adult Swim edited certain scenes from shows like Rick And Morty to have Pibby make an appearance in order to trip people out who weren't expecting the show to be any different. Unfortunately, even though the initial idea was popular it soon led to a wave of hate from people who found the fanbase to be annoying. Ultimately the idea was scrapped when they realized the legal nightmare it would be to have Pibby make crossover appearances in other cartoons.

This was amazing. Gen X humor targeted towards Gen Y repopularized by Gen Z and told through the lens of Gen Alpha.

Even if it doesn't make me laugh, which is most of the time, being able to understand it's compelling to them helps me get on their wave-length. And like the young kids of all generations, every now and then they say something really smart that just cuts through all the BS. I tutor a gen-alpha girl and sometimes it's difficult to keep up, but she likes me and she's starting to internalize my lessons so I must be doing something right. I try to get used to her inner world instead of forcing her to follow arbitrary rules. They just need a different approach. But I digress.
