I’m starting to think that Family Guy would really benefit from being a compilation of shorts because no one cares about Family Guy’s plot. Family Guy storylines aren’t interesting anymore and it feels like Seth only puts effect into American Dad, which honestly American Dad is the best animated show he has created so far.

Pro tip for plastic wrap users: go to a restaurant supply store and get a 12" commercial sized plastic wrap meant for restaurant usage (or order it online). You probably won't need to buy plastic wrap for 10 years, and it unrolls, and cuts 1000x easier than grocery store garbage. I've had mine since November 2019 and it's still going strong

Conway Twitty cutaways were notorious for being the entire song but they actually served three purposes: 1. To fill up runtime 2. It works on a meta level because the songs are meant to serve as a distraction, so when the song ends and it cuts back to the show, you've been so caught up in the song, it kind of "jolts" you back into the flow of the episode 3. Seth MacFarlane did it as a subtle "fuck you" to FOX because it costs a lot of money to get permission to use Conway Twitty's songs, so he'd blow FOX's budget each time the crew used the cutaway gag Eventually the joke hit its peak in the episode where Peter and friends reunite with God, who points out the laziness of the Conway Twitty gag and insists they just write a joke instead. As far as I know, the show hasn't used the joke since.

The plastic wrap joke is why I’ve begun to just default to plastic, lockable Tupperware dishes. Slap that shit into a little plastic box, put the correctly-sized lid on it, clamp down the locks on the sides, and we golden. That and it feels more environmentally friendly. Reusable plastic dishes instead of single-use plastic sheets.

True all of these were relatable except that one.

The plastic wrap one killed me. 😂😂😂
That cling wrap segment was exceptionally well animated for a Family Guy cut away gag
Wow the saran wrap nearly lasted two whole minutes.
3:55 this is why I use Tupperware for the tinier or more runny foods and “parchment paper” for the larger foods. 6:33 I used to work at Target, this is so true/funny.
Geez that Saran Wrap bit was super long…which was accurate

1:47 that fruit bouquet should be made of honeydew and cantaloupe. You know... For the extra damage.
I could not stop laughing when Quagmire was talking over the PA on the flight. That was sooooo legitimate lol
The Saran Wrap is the most relatable cut scene Family Guy has ever done.
That's the strange thing about Family Guy, sometimes they have a very specific joke that will absolutely not relate with a handful of people but are specific enough to know it comes from a personal place in the writers' heart
"You want a napkin, here's 40 blown by the wind" 😂 I seriously haven't laughed out loud like I just did in a long time.
You know, Family Guy's really good at keeping a joke going until it's not funny anymore, and then striking again when it raps back around to the sheer commitment being funny
The idea of using plastic wrap to cover your food is like saying you hate the environment but you hate yourself even more 😂

The plastic wrap one even makes me anxious, what a beautiful show
The plastic wrap joke is why I’ve begun to just default to plastic, lockable Tupperware dishes. Slap that shit into a little plastic box, put the correctly-sized lid on it, clamp down the locks on the sides, and we golden. That and it feels more environmentally friendly. Reusable plastic dishes instead of single-use plastic sheets.

I much agree, Mrs. Princess. If we're gonna be using plastic, we'd better use it in ways that we know are gonna last and can clearly be recycled, right?

i really love these very specific jokes and cutaways, it's always been more memorable to me than the weird edgy and gratuitously gorey jokes (and this is coming from a horror fan lol)
I like these types of jokes idc😭
I would say the three that relate to me the most are the Saran wrap, restaurant bread and butter, and the breakfast buffet. Can somebody explain the last one, the Jared Leto one, and the Providence tour guide one?

Maude was a sitcom in the 70’s that seemed to have an unusually long theme song. It was a spin-off of All in the Family.

I only watch Family Guy out of context lmao
The opening logo bit makes so much sense especially with indie movies nowadays. I saw “Late Night With The Devil” in theaters and the opening logos took up over a minute of time. There were EIGHT logos in total. EIGHT. And they STILL somehow couldn’t afford an actual artist for the transitional images.
The plastic wrap one is perfect!
The Maude one is Hilarious !!
The fruit bouquet!! 🤣
the pilot noises for me. spot on.
The butter or those little jam containers with shape of a square that barely contain enough stuff to cover just a slice of bread

The movie studio logos were so good!
Strangely warm strawberry is the funniest line from the whole compilation.

The Saran wrap joke is why I strictly use Aluminum wrap.
Every second of the saran wrap bit is probably the realest thing on this entire list 😂
Yup those opening movie credits just refuse end
5:56 - 6:29 The opening credits of Late Night With The Devil
I'm surprised the saran wrap didn't stick to itself over and over.
The Netflix joke got to me 🤣 Frozen pixels haha
“Ever notice how rollo’s make you drool?”
That cling film (as we call it in England) scene almost killed me 😂😂😂
I clicked specifically for the plastic wrap segment. Way too accurate. Why most of my family still insists on using it is annoying. And don't worry, there's always that one person who just shows up, and can just swiftly and seamlessly unroll, slice and place it and it actually fucking sticks perfectly, until the moment you touch it, and it NEVER will cling again. I didn't expect the segment to be so long though hahaha
The Saran Wrap bit is all of my pain regarding having leftovers.
OMG PLEASE MAKE MORE OF THESE!!!
Ty for posting😂
"The one that she didn't came back" is WIIIIILD
1:26 Would guess Gyllenhaal, since he was supposed to replace Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man 2
Ngl this is the show's best kind of humor
Here in Sweden we have "Ninjaplast", translates to "Ninja plastic" basically. I think they've launched it in other countries too. It's a game changer.
Seth Mcfarlanes oddly specific yet accurate descriptions of things is my favorite part about family guy humor
It's Jarred Letto.
The butter 😂
Not talking on the phone at the same time was too relatable. 😂😂😂
This was the video I was looking for
The first one is describing 2022
$16 for a burger of some kind, what looks like french toast sticks, and a large soda? $16 is what the burger alone costs near me. $4 for a soda, and probably like $7 for french toast sticks.
That was really funny, thank you :)
I love the movie logo one
