After almost 2 yrs I walked away. May 8th, 2021 just 5 weeks ago. I loved this girl, but to avoid the loooooong story. I will just say that in my heart I knew it was the right thing to do. It has been a long 5 weeks but in the last few days the greaving process is getting better. You can only obsess about something over and over, again and again before it begins to lose its sting. Much like your favorite new song on the radio. After a while it loses that magic and becomes another good song. Stay strong everyone because weakness will get none of us anywhere. If I see an old pic now of him it’s weird I just see a man a stranger .. funny how one time I was madly in love with him 😂. Now I know no matter whatever happens if I split with someone times a healer no matter how hard it is at first you do heal and come out the other side stronger . Never put up with narcissists never be taken for granted never settle for crumbs bec just around the proverbial corner is a lovely empath waiting to love you in a healthy way 🤗😊🌈

Perfect advice, a narcissist thinks they are better than you , they hate your spark, and are very jealous of you, they have none of the qualities you possess.. and it’s why they always start fights . Ask yourself if you dont have self-respect for yourself by being the best version of yourself why should you expect anyone to respect you. Perfect timing. For the 1st time in my life I said no to disrespectful behaviour. Someone I've cared for for almost 4 years wanted me back after splitting up with a girlfriend, we were just starting out as friends but he began playing mind games with me, hot and cold, super communicative then bouts of silence and then he stood me up with no explanation. From that point I shut the door on him. He's missing me I know, but that was the last straw. Sitting here tonight I was starting to feel miserable - so this video couldn't have come at a better time. Self-respect is everything! Thanks!

Wow you're exactly describing how a guy behaved towards me as well during six months of connecting. That's it: hot and cold. Texting daily, very thoughtful with good morning messages or complimenting, caring then suddenly days of silence. Now personal space or no answers within the same day are not a crime in itself but it sums up with emotional games. It's a different feeling when a manipulator, male or female is silent bc it's poison vibes / negativity shooted at you. You feel that invisible hand putting you down, restless in your system and you can't really enjoy your days ( as hard as you try to ignore tge fact that this person you love is quiet on you) . I once told him how I felt. He replied 'I'm not ignoring you I'm with my parents'. He was abroad and visiting them, even sent me a picture of him with his mother. So I would feel assured okay he's sincere no mind games. I would feel silly and stupid as if I was being dramatic but my pain was intense. Very confusing. I never chased bin but I suffered on the inside. This went back and forward. Doubts, relief, doubts, relief. Anger, hurt, frustrations vs feeling connected and complete. I also started to think I was wrong and I apologised after expressing my hurt or anger about feeling disrespect. But all this time evidence of agessive behavior and put downs, bullying insults ("I was only joking") were in front of me. I wanted to be wrong so I could see him as a new genuine friend or love growing towards me. The positive side of the connection made me think it was just some distortion and he didn't do it on purpose.. I knew better all the time. Not rarely, looking back, we realise that we never truly liked them from the start. There are always turn offs like indecent behavior right after the encounter, but they chose us as their next target. We never chose them. At least this is my thought on this. I resisted in the beginning and was angry bc he kept pushing his wish to schedule our first date. Had no understanding for me when I said I didn't like to meet late in the afternoon bc it was getting dark early. He called me rude for suggesting to postpone our first date. While it was about my feeling of safety to meet by daylight. Etc. They often have abnormal expectations but will act like you are the abnormal one being to worried. They will often say ' just enjoy, you overthink'. No I am fine the way I am, think and act. I'm not conforming myself anymore to narcissistic types. Yet I am aware it's tricky bc I am still human and the signs are not always legit red flags. Narcissist can be very good actors by validating your opinions or feelings and seemingly civil. Just to play along... Win our trust and after that the stranger feeling or rejection games start. I don't want to spend any words on them anymore but it's also powerful to read and share experiences on yt including watching video's.

  • @peaceofmindofpeace1650

They really act like you have built a band with them and they care about you but it's never shown in their long term behavior. I always felt an inner voice telling me: what if you were in need emotionally or practically would you feel you could call him.. My answer would be no bc he doesn't want me to call him. He wants to stay in control. This means he wants me on a distance and sending nice texts to keep me in is so easy... Etc. Happy for you you are out of that circle and same here. Moments of feeling sad but no more insults and head space for things that are good for me. Bless you 🌹

I've always had toxic friends all of my life, because I was just a very nice person but I didn't fight back in an argument or whatever, because I've always told myself that friendship is more important than respect or winning an argument. Oh boy.... I was so wrong ... Also people never ever apologize to you if they think that you are weak or that you have no value in their eyes. I recently cut all contact to my last friends who never ever contacted me first or texted me first after 18 years of friendship. I've always thought that distance or whatever was the reason they were not so involved with me. That is bullshit, for now on, I know deep down that people will completly change their behaviour when they really like someone. So I thought about it and it has been like that, No one apart of my family has really liked me as a friend despite me being loyal, listening to them, not spitting on them behind their back, etc,. Now I decide if I allow people in my life, I have nothing to prove to anyone. I know who I am.

I walked away from them in my late twenties They kept looking for me via asking my number from my parents but I am gone!!!!!! ❤️ I left the small-town for my study, my two female friends followed me to the city where I studied. Looking back that kept me kind of stuck but I eventually took my distance bc I always felt like they wanted to let me know that I was silly and different then nornal and that I was not a gifted person. They draft wanna to go higher but I did and I am still going strong despite all narcissistic toxic people. I am successful and made some good choices regarding buying and selling properties. They are still in the same old gossip group. I don't need to price anything to them but sometimes I hope they know how well I'm doing......narcissist make it t clear that they don't take you serious. They nearly always blame their boyfriends for any and every problem in the relationship. They get hurt over the littlest things, and they don't know who to let go of old hurts, even the little ones. On the contrary, they make mountains out of molehills.

Until you understand BPD and know what's going on, life in the madness makes no sense. You can't believe the person you fell in love with has changed and they are blaming you for everything. It takes some people years to realise that they aren't the problem. Walk away from a BPD and never ever look back.

I walked away from my family it's still a weight of guilt but I couldn't help but completely shutting myself like an oyster. I walked away from family... I had to go back after years and years, just to realize they got more abusive, so I confirmed I did the right thing on the first place... I have always walked away from abusive countries and husband... Only today I was correcting my speech... You are not walking away because you are a coward... You walk away to avoid all the side effects of being around over excited people... Their low vibration feels literally like a trauma in your brain. You only have 2 options... You either skip them and have a happy life, or stay in live in their low vibration, which only brings more of that... Why be a fool, when you are clever...?

I walked away from one of my longest friendships, over twenty years long. I found out about some things he'd kept hidden from me from the beginning, some things that shouldn't be forgiven. I didn't explain myself, just disappeared and never returned any contact from him. It was interesting when that first happened. The constant texts, threats, you name it. But I held my ground and never returned a single word. He knows what he's done and can think about it every time he thinks about me.

Walked away from a 20 year friendship today after he told me he don’t get excited for other people (me, basically) and then continued to jus talk about himself and his accomplishments and career. That was when I just realised it was not a friendship anymore and left. I’m sad, but I respect and like myself more than I like being disrespected and nullified.

When I was 21, I found a good paying job and had the best time of my life. I decided to reconnect with my family hoping we will have a better relationship this time. I was so wrong. The moment they had a grip on me, they started to commit the same old pattern of manipulation, gaslighting, toxicity, and making you their scapegoat. For ten miserable years, I suffered depression and committed suicide a thousand times. Then this 2023, finally, I decided to cut all ties from my family. I walked away and never looked back. Now I am free. I am alive. And for the first time in a long time, I feel genuinely happy.

I'm walking away from my second marriage as it got too claustrophobic. On Tuesday I move into my own place and can't wait! My second husband has learning disabilities so for now I will still stay in contact with him until I can get an adequate support package in place as he's vulnerable. However, I have put boundaries in place to protect me and he understands that I mean what I say. He also knows that I will have my own life and still be working. If he even thinks I'm taking time out of my day to see him every day he'll find out very quickly it's absolutely not. I deserve better and that's how it's staying.

This is a much better video than the one I watched the other day that talk about your superpower of walking away because there was a lot of resentment in that one I don’t think that that’s the point you want to drive home It’s stooping to the level of the narcissist and the whole idea of not being with that energy is presumably that you are not the same frequency but if you’re behaving that way you’re thinking that way and you’re speaking that way then that’s what attracted to you in the first place

Burn bridges, social media makes walking away difficult but by blocking, removing from friends, removing friends that show her and other things will stop these reach outs from her. Blocking someone does not show weakness but strength And there's no shame in it if your state of mental health is involved in it

Its easy to assume that the OP suffered and therefore learned from losing you. MOST cases that does not happen! They are NOT suffering. We like to think we are the exception to the rule but remember we are NOT. A cheater CAN change but this will be over the course of a lifetime not within context of same relationship. And only if they are able & willing to.. I know because many many years ago I cheated prolifically on a man I loved very much.. Now years later cheating is not something I would ever be open to..I can say that with 100% confidence....BUT It took real PAIN and many years to come to that state.

You cant walk away from reality or whoever you are in the past ,it will always haunts you coz it has been recorded in your subconcious mind already..it is much better if you stay away from things that keep you upset or whenever bad situation will come on your way dont ever try to get yourself into it
