Best tip for me: write down ways that person hurt you and remind yourself of it EVERY DAY. Edit: forgiveness is key and boundaries are essential

Never value someone's disrespect over your worth

Walking away is powerful and is a great display of self respect And if you were a decent person They will miss you when you’re gone And stay gone !

If walking away gives you peace, you’re on the right path.

Look at it this way, the pain and suffering you go through with your toxic partner, is the worst. The feelings of pain after walking/ leaving is much less painful. It will ease.

One week of no contact. It's tough but it's worth it.

I walked away because he disrespected and insulted me by putting another woman’s feelings and needs above mine. He didn’t care about me. He didn’t value me. They crossed the line. He stood by that woman. I feel betrayed.

I should do this but I didn't know how to behave healthy in relationship with my cptsd/ptsd. He raised his voice to me obrupted when I replied to that one particular woman. He started devaluing me and my skills and started laughing to that woman. He never kissed me when she was looking. I learned very quickly my self respect the hard way after he dumped me 12 months ago. He was bit surprised I am wishing him be happy and good luck. Went cold turkey and never reached out to this man. It was painfull as hell but I started watching these videos 'by accident'. 12 months passed and only sometimes I think about him but it's slowly fading.

She used to ghost me sometimes insult me. Then she asked to be friend. I told myself come on man you need to respect urself.

I’ve learned that some people will let you come back as long as you want to. My situation is walking away from a guy I genuinely cared about because he wouldn’t commit. He said he didn’t want commitment atm because of his work situation but He would randomly tell me he loved me. Then be standoffish afterwards. It’s a horrible and awkward feeling to go through. These people crave attention even if it’s from somebody they don’t want. Being accepted and loved is probably an issue in their world imo.

You should feel proud of yourself when you cut off toxic people in your life because that means you have self respect and self confidence to do so... Thx for another great video 💖

When self respect over powers love and commitment you know the relationship is bad and you know your mental health is good

When you take then back..it get worst.. I am changed..I dont take them back... I write it down and read often...how nice I was ..not for myself.. Sorry to hear from you're father.😪♥️

For my point of view I walked away from my relationship after she decided to split up..I deleted everything and if she ever and ever try to come back for me she can piss off..

I really like that idea of making a list of why you're walking away and making it in detail on what they did... that's a great reminder on why you need to remain strong

It’s hard to stay away from my ex. I miss her, but I know she has no love for me. At times I get lonely or memories haunt my thoughts of us laughing and having a great time together. It’s like my mind enjoys convincing it self that, no! I can put up with her actions. I can help her see what’s wrong, etc. But deep down inside, I know I’m wrong, if I go back to that abusive ex. It’s amazing how a woman so beautiful can be so ruthless and unforgiving so nihilistic and cold hearted. It’s been three days without reaching out to her, three long days...

I had a friend and we walked together and she came over and visited with me and then she stopped walking. I found myself texting her and her not always replying. I would call and she would call back but never initiate calling me after I said hey you call me sometimes. I got tired of putting in all the effort. I miss my friend but now I have some self respect. I realized I deserved better. She would always talk about her sister and daughter, I guess she didnt need a friend. I hope I find better friends.

It hurts like hell in the beginning…..and it hurts so much more when they stop reaching out to you or attempting to get you back…. Either way I’m in deep unbearable pain….

It's a good sign that they never meant to be in your life!

I made the decision late last night to walk away. This morning I did. she has messaged me several times. I don't respond at all. I will never go back. She doesn't deserve me. The way I stay strong is I made a list or EVERY thing she has done to hurt me. Ghosting, insults, lies, manipulations, lack of consideration etc. I printed them out and taped them to my bathroom mirror. They remind me why I walked away and they motivate me to stay away for good.

I’m 15 days into no contact. Some days have been better than others. 5 days ago, he walked into my personal space as I was sitting in my car. He shared up and asked, “Can we be cool”? [More gaslighting- I was cool when I texted, “Have a Nice Life”. Unfortunately, I may see him a few more times this month but I’ll keep my distance, as I have over the past 2 weeks.

great job! keep your distance for sure but if you encounter with him, act like nothing ever happened, that will messed up with his brain, if you want a high value revenge dont show anger or disappointment, show that you can move on with your HAPPY life reflected in your wonderful attitude. So act kind like nothing happen in person, but be as cold as hell after the encounter

So I did cut all the bridges. I only keep contact with people who improve my life and like me for who I am. For me it's the healing that it's the worst. It's a really long process. It's not impossible, but it takes a lot of time. They said that I am shy. I am not shy. I just don't have anymore patience for your nonsense. It's enough I have enough. I am enough the way I am. Thank you you saved me I'm having different view on my ex and will definitely follow your tips. I have cut off all contacts with her after she cheated. She keeps pursuing me I don't know why. It was so toxic I can't believe I allowed that. Now the problem is I have so much hatred for her and I can't let go of it. That's because she keep trying to contact me. Every time she does this, I get so angry. She cheated and now she is calling to show sympathy. Her calls and messages keep growing up my frustration and anger. Didn't break the no contact though.

Well done. I know what you mean . I had to do the same thing .what a waste of 30 years.!! But I know that with God's help and encouragement I made it. I have a different lifestyle now. It took time to heal, but I know I made the right decision.

Thank you. I have done this before but I had someone to guide me back then. I am doing that again and I have decimated my self respect a good couple of times now and despite having strong reasons I think EVERY HOUR that I may give up and get weak. I am tired. Tired of myself. I just wanted to say thank you. I used to keep audio notes to remind myself *why* and this time when I walked away I thought the reason is bold enough that I don't need to write that down or record but I think I will write it down now.

He got married and then I met someone new. He is love. I still isolate my self and moving on and healing myself being honest I am taking a break from this new person and may be I would take more than the time I thot I did. I dnt want to punish anyone else for the wrong that happened with me. Life is beautiful and so is love. Love is abused by people who don’t have it as they never got it. If u r loveable these hungry for love people would eat u up emotionally and drain you. Stay aware and chose wisely. Tk care and I love you voice . Sorry to hear about your dad! I lost my Dad too for the pandemic, and faced a break up at once. I kept my dignity but I confess it has taken me time to forget that ex, though she was very low value. At least I’m honest. She had talked to me badly and I just answered : you treat me too bad, good bye.

U need to (just like a dog ) kick that grass over that shit and move on . Believe me you’ll be a lot happier. Life is too short

I divorced my ex and walked away..then when he whined and promised to treat me and the kids better I went back for a booster shot.. big mistake on my part..it doesn't get better..it gets worse..I divorced him again..walked away and never looked back.....best decisions ever made

When a person chases after someone, stays on them, thinks of them ... this robs them of their freedom to be him or herself this is unnecessary tbh if we stop and think about it for few moments, its so pathetic because life is too short to worry and think about someone noone should be the center of our attention and we should be thinking about ourselves more because noone is coming to save us to each their own.
