Wonder if there was so much of year that we'll get four hours themes
@2:41:00 grey describes making his own youtube subscriptions feed lmao
Obsidian still seems like the ideal place to write academically. I'm applying to PhD programs and the networking of facts is killer for the way I write anyway. I did the same thing with simultaneous excel spreadsheets with my active MS Word document. Definitely clunky. Also, file sharing needs - I love Dropbox for near live sync sharing! I wish more people knew about it.
38:52 "I track how much time I spend with my wife but this year I realised -- oh, you know what? I'm gonna break out"
Three hours twenty minutes ! is this longer than the "State of the Union" already?

@Ryverse Well, so it is actually longer then, in fact almost every single one may be longer... Good to know, thanks.
The algorithm has been recommending the other states of the apps, it makes sense, but it still feels a bit creepy
Thank you guys for making these
Started making timestamps. Quit 13 minutes later. Hopefully someone else will take up this quest. 1:20 Focus mode 11:30 Myke's Travel Lock Screen (Flighty, CARROT Weather, Widgetsmith, and Fantastical) and Home Screen 13:00 Grey's Travel Lock Screen

they¨re done with Home Screens around 00:53:00 minutes. 01:38:00 they've covered timery app 01:56:00 Myre critigues Spark no column and as opinionated software check mark 02:15:00 they've covered obsidian. but yeah there really is way too many references with zero timestamps.
Look! They're friends! (Context: severance section). Good job, Myke.
i wish someone would do something like this for android, I'd love some guidance on how to organize my android phone
I’ve been getting a lot out of focus modes. Custom screens for each. Etc.
Before my Spotify notification
Over 3 hours? You spoil me cortex
The Sherrands (Sharrands?) list is pretty smart.
For all of the apps that Grey uses to keep track of things, why can’t he add 15 to 20 minutes every day to respond to people? Just as a check.
What about for android users?
Released right as I'm starting my day 👀spooky

I am so frustrated I clicked on state of the apps 2023 whenever I went to go finish listening to state of the apps 2024 and I’ve made it through the entire episode only to get to dungeon wars two and be like didn’t he already mentioned that last year? was this new news God dammit
Before my overcast notification
What the, it seems like the last one came out a month ago...
Ooo, there are a whole category of plant indentification apps, at least on android, I played around with them a little, also saw video on them by atomic shrimp

I started making timestamps and then realized it would take 3 hours and then promptly quit. Sorry :/

@@LeviRedrook If you watch it in a podcasting app, the progress bar will be split up and the podcast will get subtitles based on sections, like how youtube does chapters. So the first hour-ish is marked as "Homescreens, Lock Screens, and Focus Modes"
I moved from Hotmail over to Gmail back in the day simply because Outlook Express (which was Hotmail) changed the UI and visual stuff far too much. Some companies don't know when to leave well enough alone. and practically none give the end user options or choices on how they want a layout to look. Luminos sounds a lot like Star Tracker. I'll have to check it out. ooh seeing man made stuff is more advanced than my one. Also going to mention the plant one to my mom as she likes to garden and stuff.
Before Mortex? 😢
Just noticed I wasn't even subscribed here, because I was using rss lol
Use Alfred instead of spotlight. LIfe safer and create todoist items from your new "spotlight".

Hello Again!
This series is really risky in terms of making someone consider switching to the Dark Side, the Apple Side, more and more. Even while making those listeners aware of the many shortcomings in the ways Apple handles its mobile OSes

I listen this just in terms of "they talk about their set-up, I can't just go repeat, but if I want some ideas are probably even much more easily done with Android"
@DistanceTraveled

I understand, but what has been interesting is I find the concept of the apps and set up they talk about and usually can set it up for free in Android.
