I understand that people like those pro game replays and all " me included " but its always so boring cuz you get so hyped for the action and when ever the fight and action starts the first to make mistake immediately calls gg and all that hype gets thrown out the window -_-

Watching this in 2021: wow, Lowko has improved quite a bit in casting! He dares to pause, breathe, add personal grievances and even feelings (like joy). It's apparent that Lowko's trying hard here and it might've been a necessary step, but he's definitely not as easy to listen to as present-day Lowko.

Nerchio had a game where he abused the infected Terran; it may have been 3 vs. 3. He had a wall of spines and faced off against some Terran. His creep spread was all over the place; match worth checking out!

Almost all non computer games that have units, player controlled representation(s) are called pieces. Monopoly, Risk, Checkers, Chess, Dungeons & Dragons, Axis and Allies. Calling player controlled representations in a computer game "pieces" makes sense to me. The only difference is that the "pieces" are digital and mundane tasks such as dice rolls are carried out by the computer.

  • @theSato

No, it would have been even worse. Sure ultras can't hit air units. But instead they'd just run past them and decimate the terran's mineral lines and infrastructure. It takes banshee's a looong time to kill ultras and they can't stop their advance like a ground force can.

But rewatching this gave me a new question to ask, I kinda understand the surround, when it lings and the smaller units but I don't get it at all, that the Ultalisk use it to, why is that function so important to the Zerg player? I thought I understood it until today, is it just the fact it stop them from being able to flee?

Are y'all illiterate? I said "JUST ONE MORE reason". Not "THE reason". And Ravens are just a particular annoyance; they fly in, throw down a turret or fifty, and are gone by the time you get the notification that you're being attacked. Oracles need to stay there and fight, siege tanks need to siege up and stay sieged, mutas need to stay and fight, etc. Even if you have a couple of spores to defend your mineral line, they won't stop the turret from going down and tearing your drones up, whereas banshees, mutas, oracles etc. all get shot down if they commit.

Am I the only zerg who would never build roach vs terran? I counter hellion with baneling and zergling im top of diamond and terran is my best match up. If he gets hellbat and cyclone i just micro the baneling onto the hellbat and surround the cyclone, if he gets siege and marines marauders i transition into hydra and then into ultra. My games normally go the same way, i open with a pool of ling and baneling to counter any early game, then i get no more than 6 muta to deal with medivacs and the terran usually goes straight to thor, but then I get hydra and 3 infestors, and eventually ultra. I always engage with a fungal growth and my ultra gobble up any bio, if he goes heavy mech, i neural parasite a couple of thors and the ultra tank for the hydra. I only ever get three ultra, no more than that and if I can I will transfuse them in the fight. I never engage a terran at his base I just take over the map and when i have ultra and hydra I will build lots of swarm host and just harrass him with them. usually the terran will go thor liberator hellbat siege tank. I usually neural parasite liberator and and engage him at the same time. my winrate vs terran is like 90% or so. Vs protoss it's like 20% though and vs zerg it's about even.
