I love how ultralisk in lore are those titanic creature that brings fear and dread to the battlefield, but in game they are those expensive damage sponge that die easily

Sadly according to Blizzard they wouldn't be balanced if Z had an upgrade that would let Lings and Banes walk under ultras like Colossi.

IDK in my games ultralisks let all my creepy crawlies close in with minimum losses. They were so exceptional at tanking I would put as much armor on them and max the crap out of my lings. They're criminally underated in my opinion. You only need like 2 to survive out of 6 to have a destructive result.

I seriously dont know why this isnt a thing. Theyve known that Ultralisks sucked for a long time, and its even stated that theyre supposed to be a sort of wall against attackers, so id go even further and make units below an Ultra unattackable, meaning any attack against them would instead hurt the Ultra. Edit: by unattackable i mean that if a unit gets a-moved itll attack the ultra automatically and you cant select the units below the ultra manually, so effectively theyre in a sort of shelter, this would be very useful for protecting vulnerable units like hydras or lurkers, making the enemy, for example an airtoss army, actually have to deal with the ultras instead of being able to pretty much just completely ignore them, making ultras way way less useful than they would be otherwise. Another thing this would help with is allowing the ultra to actually do damage, as it could just step over the zerglings that inevitably rush out front any time you move your army to attack units or buildings, so ultras would be an actual help against bio terran too instead of getting stuck and every single unit besides them getting killed and then getting picked off on the retreat

@@lanceschulz1182 well i mean it's very small mistakes, nothing relevent. Meanwhile they have a perfect macro while attacking/defending, microing ... at some point, when you reach a good level, it's not really about mistakes but raising your APM

Ultralisks should be able to step over zerglings like how Colossi and Aberrations do it.

@Lowko Sapphire is actually a transparent, colourless gem (Al2O3). The blue colour comes through an impurity cause by traces of Cobalt. Since the Sapphire appears in many different colours (e.g. the Ruby is also a Sapphire (impurity caused by Chrome)) the maps different teints fit the Sapphire quite nicely.

sapphires actually come in lots of different colours. red rubies are actually a type of sapphire and you can also get pink, yellow, purple and orange sapphires on top of the usual blue

So forcing transitions by transitioning yourself is a form of attrition, therefore to the zerg's advantage is what i got from this first match When you think about it, it might even be more efficient than trading units

This Protoss style is actually quite refreshing to see. Skillous makes that ground army work with solid fundamentals and macro play. I've always been a big critic of the boring mass air strategy that was so dominant before, but this style makes me want to watch more Protoss games.

No matter if Scarlett wins or looses, she is still one of the best players to watch. From a Canadian Fan!

I think the second map 'Cosmic Sapphire' is suppose to resemble a geode. Not sure sapphires can even be found in geodes, but I'm not a geologist.

I love how you described the map on game 2, maybe a bit quicker next time? I don't play, I just watch games and I like to know the characteristics of every map. Nice job and nice video!

Anyone can tell me how can i watch progames recordings from tournaments? I've understood there is a internet site where you can watch replays and maybe they also have tournament replays? I'm looking to watch some Serral or Dark games to educate myself. I feel I'm at the point in the game where it's not enough anymore to just wing it and i really need to get some timings down. Something like timing for 3rd and 4th. Timing for evo chambers and hydra den. Timing for hive and lurkers and +3/+3. I'm not even certain when i should have the spire down when playing muta/ling/bane. It just feels like any guides are very outdated.

Hey lowko can you please cast viewer submitted games everyweek? I always enjoy those games because they tend to be the most craziest games and it is very hard to predict who will win.

Hey Lowko, been watching for a while. Have you ever considered uploading casts that cover 2 matches instead of 1, and making sure to end the vid on a match that goes to sudden death? That would help to keep the progress bar from being a spoiler for matches that don't go to the final game - and I always find that I'm ready for another match after watching the first one, anyway! Keep up the great work!

Lowko says "temperatures in Australia" are "relatively warm". It's negative temps as I watch this. Australia isn't all deserts and tropical reefs. Shit gets cold sometimes too.

Hatchery can make it all. Forcing your opponent to react to you is sound strategy.

I miss the early days of SC2 when they featured “Jungle” maps where they were green with vegetation

I was put next to herO at DH Valencia. We greed each other, and he asked if I know him. I obviously told him that his a legend and I´m a fan, and his heavy stalker approach costs me lots of MMR points :(. Then he smiled with that evil Protoss smile.

I wanted to play that map, but I can't find it. Is it not available?

Lowko: Why is this map called cosmic sapphire? I think of blue when I hear the word sapphire, there's no blue (while hovering over the blue glittering sapphires that are all over the map)

Ultralisks need the Colossus' passive walk without the ability to climb terrain.

When I watch the sc2 cinematics I feel like the ultra should be the same as the colossus where it has the "towering" effect because it literally does...over every other ground zerg unit...I know the lurker is supposed to be decent size too but I strongly feel that the ultra should be towering.

I think the ultralisk switch into BL might be an anti-skillous move. Because if the protoss players did respond not with Immortals but with voidrays, both Ultralisks and BL would be kinda suicidal. ^^

What happened when an Adepts shade and an ally medivac carry the Adept? A. The Adept will shade along with the medivac. B. The Adept will shade normally. C. The shade will be cancelled

Rushing Ultras takes some balls

I know Lowko talked it up, but that Cosmic Sapphire map looks confusing and unintuitive to me. It's difficult to readily distinguish between the playable space and the non-playable space. What do I know though, I haven't played SC since WoL.

Dude please, drop the jokes, the Harry Potter, the Sim City and so forth.

All zerg units according to Lowko: “I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.”

Ultra's look so cool, its so strange that they are so weak, think this needs to be buffed?

Nope ultras were op as hell when legacyfirst dropped when they had 9 armor zergs were rushing 2 base hive every game

sapphires come in all colours. It's a kind of rock. Rubies are red sapphires. Emeralds are Green sapphires.

It may not be the national sport or anything but, Canadians play a LOT of basketball. LoL, at least, in the city. :)

It is easy to fix Ultralisks or at least put a bandage on them. All we need is actually some effort in trying to balance game. All Blizzard needs to do or in this case community is to allow Ultralisks to walk over smaller units. Ultralisks should be given movement priority which would make them walk normally and other zerg units derp around them. I think this game already has all of this programmed in and some units does feature such movement.
