@@mancamiatipoola Actually that is terrible logic, but I loved Terran players that thought like that. they lift off, I run a probe ahead and slap a pylon down where they want to land, then laugh hysterically as he has to land barracks, make marines, kill the pylon, then land to continue production. Meanwhile, I my first expo is in full production and I am starting a second, while teching to sky toss, and I keep throwing the occasional cannon his way so he goes tanks, then as soon as he is good and dedicated to tanks I stop building cannons and send my void rays in. Guess what a 3 base economy with void rays does to a 1 base economy with tanks. The only reason not to cannon rush Terran is if you don't know how to cannon rush like marc in this video. A year ago I finally got bored of cannon rushing just short of diamond with a 60 something percent win rate, including the games I spent working out my strat. Today i played my first game of 1v1 SC2 in a year+, and guess what. I beat a diamond 3 with a cannon rush. Admittedly he was zerg, but had he been Terran I would have used the exact same tactics. block his expo with cannons, pylon nearby expos to prevent him from landing, force him to clear the cannons, while I tech and build econ, then show up with void rays on a multi base economy while he is single base tanks. The reason I didn't win every game is because I am actually a terrible SC2 player. Rarely did my apm hit 100, I can't micro and macro at the same time, and I have no clue what units counter what, or even what some of the techs/units do. Including protoss units. Yet I still won most of my games cannon rushing...even against terran

Poor decision on cannon rushing the second base. The main thing of cannon rush is to contain your enemy where it won't happen in such an open area.

The protoss also overdid the rush. WAAAAAAAY to many canons. As a protoss, you always try to minimize the amount of canons.

that cheese was effective, but protoss shit the bed real hard in the mid-game.. no warpgate, no micro.. sad indeed

That rush might have actually worked if he had actually blocked the entrance off with cannons. That was a lot of scvs that got away. Also should have had a probe following the command center to know exactly where he was migrating to.

No need to block it. once you force a lift off you won as a cannon rusher...he just didn't know how to close out the game. Also, there are not a lot of expo choices in that direction, he just needed to run his probe ahead and pylon at the landing site.

He should have sent out half his probes to scout while the command center was looking for a place to land. Very easy to block off by dropping pylons at key landing points. Keep him suspended in the air for a minute or two and it's game over.

The Protoss are not sending out their best people... they are sending us ilegal aliens, they are sending us cannons, and some I assume are decent protoss units.!

sometimes the highest-class matches get boring, because everybody is just doing the same thing, transforming the game from a strategy-based one into a dexterity one. The winner is not the one with the best strategy, but the fastest one on the keyboard and mouse. But THOSE matches, like this one...... they are brilliant. Well done!

After your castings I can't go back to other casters, I'm not sure if I'm happy or not about it, but at least there are plenty of games like this one I've never seen. Props man keep it up!

protoss expansion should have been in terran's starting base. if anything protoss should have closed off the main put a couple cannons (1-2) and with photon overcharage, he could have defended while he was safely getting resources from his natural ( located at the original starting location of terren) and expanding his army

There was another recent Lowko vid titled Bad Manners that also had 2 high ranked opponents just playing like absolute dogshit. I definitely could have handled either and I'm Silver. Well actually I usually play SC2 on a laptop with a mouse pad, so what would that really make me? Gold? Plat? An idiot?

I'm gold Tier 1 rank 1, I have had a curse on me for like 6 months now. I have been SUPER close to getting to Platinum but I just can't get there.

Are there any tips on keeping calm during a game? Its not that i fear losing. Its just so much to do at the same time and cause of that my body gets in a stress situation. Im a new player and yeah i heard before that playing more helps but i want to improve as fast as possible...

warìtch your replays, try o figure aìout your errors when you loose and watch what you could have done better when you win, also learn the timing of other matchups and is a easy way to platinum/diamond in a couple of months

Also remember that stress comes form not knowing what your opponent might be doing, so scout, harras and prevision are your best tools to play in a more relaxed way

Reminded me of a game i had a couple of weeks ago. PvP, opponent canon rushes me (succesfull) but i get a stalker out and it was a greedy gateway into expand build, so i had my natural up. All probes to the 2nd base, and denying the opponents probe from leaving with my stalker. After the the rush i still had better tech and better income. That's the thing with most canon-rushers, they have NO idea how to play an actual game. :D

Protoss made a huge mistake not moving a 2nd into his opponent's natural. He committed so many resources to an immobile attack that could have become a nice defense and bought him the 2 minutes needed to stand up a new production site.

I wonder if Laquisha here is the same person I use to play against in supreme commander:FA... that guy was great fun.

My favorite thing about these matches is how respectful they are commented on. These days, everyone's so disrespectful. It's refreshing and it makes for a fun viewing.

Except the cannon rush worked...he failed every aspect of the follow up though. He won the game at 4:00, but built 2 too many cannons, didn't have his expo started, and built too many ground units before building his econ. He also failed to run his probe to where the command center was headed and build a pylon there to block the landing. In other words he was a complete noob at cannon rushing, and still only lost because of how little he could play the strat.

Nice ;) just so you know, a mule is not equivalent to 6 scvs... closer to 3 or 4 according to luiquipedia
