We saw everything from OSHA’s POV. We’re definitely going to get this flashback again from Mae and Sol’s POV. And Torbin has the scar when he’s in the background at the wild when Osha wakes up. There’s more we haven’t seen yet, and it’s keeping me curious.

I get the feeling that the Jedi and the witches were already throwing down when Mae started the fire - I suspect that the Jedi are using the blaze as cover for their "accidental" massacre of the witches. Mae must have seen the witches dying in their battle with the Jedi before her final conversation with Osha.

Just remember Mother Aniseya can mind control Jedi. We her saw do this to Tolbin. Also, in Osha vision we saw Mae's eye go black which means someone could be mind controlling both them. I thought it was so odd that Mother Aniseya was so supportive of Osha becoming a Jedi then Mae goes crazy burns down the place and supposedly all the Witches die. That seem rather convenient especially when these witches want to stay hidden.

My theory is that, just like the Jedi were drawn to these two special kids, the mysterious Sith master was also drawn to these two, maybe hoping to take one as an apprentice. Assuming it was Mae who did set the fire, the level of firey destruction and deaths seems too much for just Mae. I wonder if the Sith took advantage of the situation and jumped in to cause the chaos and deaths. And bc Mae wasn’t aware of the presence of a Sith master, she naturally blamed the Jedi. What’s more, I think the Sith master stole the secrets of creating life from just the Force and they’ll use this to create Anakin Skywalker later.

"Rashomon", Akira Kurosawa's 1950 film about a horrible crime and the various versions of the "truth" that come to fruition during the investigation is absolutely amazing, pure and simple. The story is told four different times, each time from the point of view of one of the participants.

*“Your eyes can deceive you, don't trust them.”* said Obi-Wan and Luke Skywalker *“Your eyes can deceive you. We must not trust them.”* - Master Sol This line is very important! Don't believe everything you see. We need all the facts, all the perspectives and points of views from both Mae and the Jedi. The Jedi did something that caused the witches deaths, but blames it on Mae because that's an easy out. I don't think that Master Torbin agreed to it but he had to live with it. That's possibly where his guilt came from. We'll see! I really like this show so far.

This is 100% The Jedi basically kidnapping the girls as means to "rescue them from captivity," which is something we have not really seen in Star Wars, and is a plot twist as to how and why the Jedi Order we see in the films is so rigid and led to their downfall! How else is Sol already in the palace and it was only him that came to rescue them? The rest were fighting and slaughtering the Witches! Why was Mae running for her life down in the boiler of all places? She saw what the Jedi had done, even asking her "what have YOU done?" as if to say it was Osha that brought the Jedi to attack them, and now believes everyone but her was killed that day! The Jedi thought they were doing the right thing for Osha's benefit, so they lied trusting that there were no witnesses to disprove their story...until Mae (our ACTUAL protagonist) is found to be alive and is here to right their wrongs!!! It takes a very high-level of thinking to grasp such a plot, and I am SO glad Star Wars is making stories like these for us adults rather than dumbing everything down for kids like with the rest of their shows...

Asphyxiation? No, they screamed out in pain…they burnt up then, right? Again no, they were clearly laying on the ground without a hint of fire 🔥 Then you have how easily and convenient the Jedi were there within the palace. Surely they didn’t wait to see the blaze, rush to the palace without any resistance. and just happen to know where to go to find the girls. Even then, why only send Sol?? Makes no sense… unless they were already at the palace, killed the witches, Sol rushed after to find the girls, felt their presence and was “only able to save Osha” (although he clearly could have Force-pulled them both back to the platform, but whatev)…👀

The thing is, you guys are acting like either was a perfectly normal and well adjusted child before this and we just don't know that. We are seeing one moment in time. May could have been off balance and possessive before this and this was just what pushed her over the edge. She DOES show hints of it, needing her sister to always be by her side. It's a struggle I myself had as a child, being possessive and controlling - it could easily become abusive when something threatened what was "mine", even if that was the person themselves. Thankfully, I got a hold of it before I went as far as May (,plus no magic powers to feed it).

Hot take: I don't think that was Mae outside the door, or it is was, she was being controlled with Force magick. Mae seemed shocked to see the state of their temple, and asked Osha what _she_ had done after Osha asked what Mae had done. I think the reason Mother Aniseya was crying wasn't because she was going to lose Osha to Jedi life, I think she was crying because she decided than and there that she would rather kill Osha than give her to the Jedi. Why she or one of the other witches would have taken Mae's form or possessed her to do the deed instead of doing it themselves, though...that I'm not sure about.

😂😂😂😂 I think it's time-stamp 5:25, "Coming To America"? Seriously!! I almost spit my coffee out, you can't just throw that at somebody unprepared. About the show, I don't get why so many are trying to dog it, there are a few writing issues but it's not trash (imo). I'm almost 50 so I've been here for all of it from the beginning so I guess I have a Different view/ love for SW than some of the fans do now. I wish Disney had put out stories from "Legends" that was the smartest way to go, they didn't so that was a let down. I didn't like the sequels either, however I loved some of the series'. It's been hit or miss but I just can't get down with criticizing every little thing about these properties. That's just my take on things I need to convey in a safe space 🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️

Actually this is how a fire works, A fire can affect electrical networks and other electronic products. If flames or intense heat reach electrical equipment, they can cause short circuits and system failures. This can lead to other electronic components exploding, which in turn can make the fire spread and become more difficult to control, so Mae fucked up xd

It’s weird that the twins didn’t look alike when they were younger, but after not seeing each other for 15 years, they look exactly alike. Even down to the exact same skin care regiment and identical hairstyles. Such dumb writing. Constantly contradicting dialogue: First the head Mother complains how others use the Force like a weapon, then immediately proceeds to Force Push several other Witches around, including her own misbehaving daughters. A stone FORTRESS that seemed to be soaked in gasoline? We had over 40 years of history with the Jedi being the good guys. Then Disney takes over and in one episode, they make them into lying, creepy stalkers. “Hey little girl. I’ll let you hold my deadly weapon if you’ll just come live with us.”

Theory: The Jedi believe the Sith have been wiped out. The Sith use this to their advantage and begin working behind the scenes by infiltrating various governments and using politics as an ongoing weapon to weaken the Jedi Order. They also begin wiping out all other Force using denominations throughout the galaxy. They are the ones behind the attack; the four Jedi report this to the Jedi Order who bury the information out of fear. The four Jedi are then instructed to do a cover up and hilarity ensues.

Robert and Vanessa, thank you for continuing to be a positive voice in the series. I honestly can't understand all the hate this show is getting. We're only 3 episodes in, the story is nowhere near complete, yet the number of YT vids with the headline that it has "RUINED SW FOREVER!!" is crazy high. No way could a half-told story "ruin" SW. I mean, I've lived through this phenomenon many times by this point...I've heard it all before. The sequels ruined SW. Rogue One with its female lead ruined SW. The prequels with Jar Jar ruined SW (and let's bully a little kid online to the point he leaves acting because he was stuck with a bad director and so he didn't perform to our expectations). The Clone Wars animated series with all its silly epiodes--and ESPECIALLY the introduction *of a super-annoying teenage padawan for Anakin by the name of Ahsoka Tano* in a tube top and a miniskirt--ruined SW. The Ewok TV movies, Caravan of Courage and Battle for Endor, ruined SW. Return of the Jedi and the _existence_ of the Ewoks ruined SW. Hell, the TRAILERS for Return of the Jedi ruined SW because Leia was in a skimpy outfit (in my mom's opinion, which was why she wouldn't let me go see it right away). The Holiday Special ruined SW (yeah, it was objectively terrible by any standard, but it didn't kill the franchise). So maybe the show isn't EVERYONE'S cup of tea, that doesn't mean it is going to "ruin" Star Wars. Take a deep breath and move on to something you DO like. The fact that everyone thinks that their love of SW MUST exclude anyone from a different background from them loving it too is nuts. I grew up on Star Trek as well as Star Wars, and maybe I'm more used to seeing a franchise miss as often as it hits (what's the common saying, that every odd-numbered ST movie is good, and all the even-numbered ones except ST2 are bad?). Maybe being accustomed to it makes me more tolerant of it. Maybe the fact that Trek was inclusive from the very beginning and celebrated Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations has something to do with it, idk. (One video SCREAMS in all caps in the thumbnail "Star Wars Fans Are Mostly Male!" as if that means that ONLY the guys should ever be the focus of a show.) Hate leads to Suffering. Let it go.

I like how you’ve never watched a video actually saying that it’s due to bad writing, poor character development which leads to bad stories and nothing making sense. Nobody said rogue one ruined Star Wars nor the clone wars nor the god dam ewoks. Nobody likes the Disney stuff which is why the trailer for the acolyte got almost 1 million dislikes 💀. Here’s an example: The antagonist is an assassin: “I want to fight you” walks right up to them… great writing that’s a wonderful assassin. The main actress saying “this show is meant to make white men cry”. Ok thanks for the racism. Also her and Leslye saying “all nerds are gay” ok why? Or the actor saying twice “anakin blew up the Death Star”, I like how the Jedi in the first episode just watched people get beaten up. I thought they were “keepers of the peace”. Or the atrocious dialogue, when osha walks in and is meant to convince the shopkeeper and says “hi… ugh hello” like are we meant to see these characters as stupid or heroic. I even saw a top comment from a guy who was overweight and complains about the fat Jedi. We all know Jedi go through rigorous training so why include him for diversity sake? Or the fact the stone is now flammable? Or the fact that the kids are older or around the same age as anakin who was literally too old to be trained. Moreover the Sith haven’t been seen in a millennium but it’s confirmed there is Sith. Wonderful. 💀

The major issue i have with this show is it's predictable. Whatever this cult is isn't really important whether they are a sect of night sisters or another force cult. The mystery is did the Jedi eradicate them out of fear and they were actually innocent. The answer is obviously the Jedi acted out of fear , probably provoked by the witches and the Jedi slaughtered them in what they thought was self defense, and in doing so wiped out the last of their kind , and then justified it as taking care of a threat. Then later they realized they made a mistake and covered it up from the council. while mae the survivor was found by a sith, told her story to him and that sets the sith up to move more aggressively with their plan . Darth Sidious destroyed the Jedi without using a weapon ( for the most part) which again is the sith way as quoted in this show. Maybe I get some small details wrong or more small details are added but that's the story. A story that was done a lot in 70s thrillers and devil movies. Just because you port that into Starwars doesn't make it suddenly original.

I’ve seen plenty of good twin/bad twin but these was awful. Mae came off to me a strange angry little weirdo. She sets everything on fire to kill her sister then while on the bridge, she blames her for everything that happened? FOH 👎 Episode was trash.

I don't care what people are saying about this series. I am enjoying it. I like it but I really think the twins are the clones of the mother but one has Force powers and the other one sith powers. And who cares what people are saying about the two moms in love with each other. Oh my God it's the 22nd century people get over it

I agree! Screw the haters I’m actually loving this show. I just watched a reaction video where the dudes were talking about how it makes no sense that Torbin took the poison because Mae caused everything. There’s clearly multiple stories and point of views going on. It’s still all unraveling and I’m here for it!

I think you’re missing the point. It’s not the fact it’s two mothers (if that is people’s reason for not liking it then they suck), it’s more Disney is focusing on ramming wokeness down our throats and forcing it so much they forget to write and direct decent episodes. You can have diversity and write a fucking awesome show, Andor proves this.

I'm interested.. but I think the first star wars series that were released had that Dave Filoni, Jon Favreau Touch.. plus the amazing directors that had an episode or 2.. ie Taika , BDHoward, Rick F, Deborah Chow etc.. that's set a bar so high that this is a totally different project that should be viewed differently compared to Mando series, Andorra, Bob Fett, Ashoka.... look at this episode.. instead of a flashback scene.. the whole episode was a flashback. Lol
