    1) Venestra. I'm just not trusting her now. Maybe she was *counting* on the whole away team getting killed, keeping whatever the secret could be. 2) Already there's some viewer all whacked out of shape about the bathing scene. No frontal, no man-butt, yet *"The children...what about the CHILDREN???"* Okay, calm down, Aunt Bea... 3) Those scars on Qimir's back...Venestra's doing? 4) I'm really enjoying your after episode commentaries. It's nice to not hear any negativity, just honest critique. Thanks! 5) Ready for next week's installment!

    For some reason, I have a feeling that the Darkside character is a reference to the Padawan killing prophecy from Legends, where a bunch of Jedi had a premonition that one of their padawans was going to fall to the Darkside and kill all of them, so they decided to kill their padawans first, but they screwed it up. One survived fell due to the betrayal and came back and killed them all.

    every thing with Osha and Qimir on that "Unknown Planet" the whole situation is like a mirror reversed version of Rey and Luke on Ach-To in The Last Jedi? I mean it seemed fully intentional. Notice the curved whip-like scars. Qimir says he was a Jedi "a very long tim ago", his master tried to kill him. Maybe Qimir is much older than he appears..

    Qimir saying that his master long time ago tried to kill him, is actually a hint to understand the whole plot of the Acolyte. As is stated in the Rule of Two, the appreantice eventually kills the master. But sometimes master don't want to die (suprise), and kills the appreantice. The real sith of this series is hidden inside The Order. And he is using Jedi to hunt down his pupil, who survived the assasination attempt. Then he can kill him, so no one will know that the Sith's infiltrited the Jedi order. Eventually, everyone in this series will die. Qimir is 100% dead, Sol will be wrongly prosecuted (or maybe he is the Sith), Mae and Osha will both die/be prosecuted/will escape.

  • @hauntreaper

  • @azk9218

    @azk9218

    19 күн бұрын

    @@hauntreaper yup. But that could be misleading. What if her apprentice, aka Qimir, rebelled, they had a fight, Vernestra thought she killed him, but he survived. That way the story is still valid, she isn't the Sith 'we're looking for' and Qimir's other master is still out there.

    I find the Episode endings in this show completely baffling. With most shows that use "cliffhanger" endings there's at least some meat to chew on while you wait for the next episode and the plot usually moves forward in each episode. But each episode ending of this show leaves me feeling empty/unfulfilled. I think the problem might be that they keep essentially using the same cliffhanger on every episode when they should have (and could have) already dealt with it sooner. Or in the case of episode 4 they started a battle then ended the episode, which also felt very unsatisfying. And it's weird because Russian Doll did cliffhanger endings so much better. I need to know how/why Disney and the editors of this show decided to split up the episodes the way they did and how they missed this glaring problem. Maybe it's because they're relying on withholding key pieces of information from the audience in a way that feels so obvious you can "see" the writing process and it feels unnatural? Maybe it's because we'll crafted cliffhanger endings give you the shocking info before the episode break and the "cliffhanger" is the audience wondering how the info will impact the characters and their actions in the next episode? I don't know but something about these episode endings especially is really bothering me...

  • @Jigsaw407

    @Jigsaw407

    Part of the problem is not even the story but how they cut to credits. In Star Wars we usually had rousing music that led to the credits and then the epic score kicked in when they started rolling. This show, however, tends to use calm, quiet moments to go to the credits and when the circle transition comes, it transitions to silence before the score slowly starts. It's always a real fizzle out moment with no energy that feels almost like an afterthought of the "Well, I guess me might as well end it here" variety.

    I used to watch LOST (2004-2010), so I’m used to NOT getting answers right away. I’m used to waiting another week after the episode ends in a cliffhanger or without answers but leaves more questions. They will dangle the carrot until the final few episodes. So when this episode ended abruptly, I wasn’t shocked. A tease as usual. No answers again. Is it frustrating? Hell yeah. Am I surprised by it? Nope. The two big reveals are… - Qimir/Smilo Ren/The Stranger was a former Jedi - Sol might have been Qimir’s master with Qimir explaining his back scars to Osha This might be too dark for Star Wars, but I wondered if Sol had an inappropriate relationship with Osha? Makes me wonder if they were in love? Make the Jedis into the Catholic church and Sol is a priest having an inappropriate relationship with his pupil. Qimir even pointed out how Osha asked about Sol first before Mae. Sol did get pretty dark at the end. But once I saw him ready to talk to Mae, I knew right away they were going to cut the scene. But hey, Conehead Jedi didn’t exactly ruin canon. Yay! Like Star Wars has never been filled with plot holes? Sol never said Sith to them. Then the static with communications. Then Sol hauled ass out of there before Vernestra arrived. Sol is more Moon than Sun. More Luna than Sol. His darkness is coming out. Nothing really happened in this episode as usual. The Bazil and Pip humor was not funny at all. Worse than Ep. 5. I did like the scenery where Qimir and Osha were at. Looks like Skellig Michael again where they shot Luke’s scenes on Ahch-To in TLJ. I guess Osha wasn’t impressed by Qimir’s penis size. 🤣 I think nobody was impressed by Aemond Targaryen’s penis size either. Manny was probably wearing shorts but it’s being implied he’s naked. I guess no sexual tension between them. Such a frustrating series to watch. The only thing good about it was Smilo Ren killing Jedis in Ep. 5 and that’s it. Nothing else is that interesting and they keep beating around the bush with these mysteries. But at least Ep. 7 will be the flashback episode. A 6/10 episode. Get ready for more review bombs. Disney+ SW 1. Andor 2. The Mandalorian 3. Ahsoka 4. Obi-Wan Kenobi 5. The Book of Boba Fett 6. The Acolyte HOT D S2 > The Boys S4 >>> The Acolyte Even The Boys’ recent episode with flying sheep which looked stupid was better than this episode from The Acolyte. Wait for House of the Dragon’s Season 2 Episode 4 this Sunday. It’s going to be the best episode that series has ever done. Perhaps even better by Ep. 8. Should be Team 🖤 favorite HOT D episode ever. When I saw Ep. 6 was 36 minutes or 4 more minutes than Ep. 4 and 5, I thought maybe they would answer the big question. Nope. Another 36 minutes wasted on absolutely nothing. I guess Tyrone Magnus is right. Episode 5 was a FLUKE. Back to the crappy norm like Ep. 1-4 are. I got more fun out of a 3-hour movie in Horizon: An American Saga Chapter 1 than I did with this episode. Manny’s character is the most interesting in this show and he’s actually the one who happens to be the most informative. Qimir is the one explaining things to the audience. He’s the fan favorite more viewers are interested to know more about. But the series keeps focusing on the twins who are as interesting as the three Rs: Rey, Rose, and Reva. R2 is more interesting than any of these females.

    Can’t have Leia?? What? But I will say there’s a difference between sexualizing a woman as a slave & a dude swimming.

    THANKS for this, LttP!!! So prompt, so consistent, so much fun--and it's too bad I'm talking about *you* and not the show :( This show could have done really great things if they had just focused on the Jedi corruption....

    Lame & tacky ending aside, this was an okay episode. Obviously, with 2 episodes left, there will be big reveals and big things happening at the end. I still am feeling decent about the series, but I again DON'T hate it like "fans" are.

    Love your reaction. You both looked has bored as i did watching this. It's like they didn't know what write so decided to drag each episode out. Taking parts of other stars dialogue from the franchise then put it in this.

    Absolutely love your channel but can't believe you are still reacting to this show..the only way shows like this will stop being made by non star wars writers is if everyone boycotts them..keep up the good work but not this LOL
