Good callback by Eric to "Kenobi" and the observation by an Inquisitor of the weakness of the Jedi being innocent bystanders. You can actually hear the second dagger pierce Indira an instant after she stops the first dagger and saves the bartender.

In fairness, Obi Wan took that from KOTOR (and just heroic stories in general where good guys save innocents,) with the assassin droid HK-47 talking about the best ways to kill a Jedi. Fuel + Oxidizer + Ignition = fire, regardless of the environment. If enough gas was released the fire can look like that until the gas is burned or dissipates.
@johannesbowers7467

No. Not "like that" in a freaking vaccuum. Zero G and Vaccuum fires (different things, actually) are known and visualized much differently than "cheery campfire open flame" If it is an oxidizer fuel venting it will look like any other pressurized flame jet If it is an electrical fire consuming material it will look like glowing edges emitting carbonized gas, an unpressurized fuel plume will boil away cloudlike. Glad to see you guys really happy about the show. So to answer Rick's question The High Republic lasts from around 500BBY to 100-50BBY (with it being closer to the 100bby range as it’s already over during dooku’s time as a Jedi) so roughly 400 Years. With Phase 1 and 3 being 200 years BBY and Phase II being 100 years before that. So the Acolyte as mentioned is right at the end of the high republic and really starts to have that prequel feel
@tython055

I love the fights in this series, being more of a defensive, evavise type of martial arts. Which in this time period makes total sense. 7:52 - All you need for fire is oxygen and fuel. They said a valve ruptured. Pipes can carry fuel and/or oxygen so the fire is well within reason. Master Sol launched into my top 5 favorite Jedi so quick. Especially after watching episode 2.
Based on what we have seen from the Old Republic, the technology in Star Wars doesn't really change. The artistic choices and designs change slightly, but astromechs and protocol droids stay reletively the same. In fact I would argue that during the High Republic some things like Ships and outfits should actually look newer and more artistically grand than during the Prequels and especially during the Originals.

I almost feel like Indara sacrificed herself.. when they both realize there's a barkeep left there.. Indara looks like she doesn't want to kill Mae and knows the only way this ends if someone dies.. and if she killed Mae.. there would be no answers for why she is there.. dying and taking a warriors death leaves bread crumbs..she knew this was the only way since she knew who Mae is and similar to Torbine.. she knew why she was there..like Torbine did

Damn, Trin should have taken the blue pill.
I'm not sure quite what to make of Yord. He's seems like very much by the book, and also humble and admits when he's wrong, but also kind of a dork making a lot of mistakes. Maybe uptight is the best description, quick to draw his saber. A good guy, but very flawed.
The fighting is fantastic, the writing leaves a bit to be desired but I'm intrigued by the "why done it" as SW Explained said.

Loved the first two episodes. So excited for this show
Im worry about the Weinstein assistance view and comments saying R2D2 is lesbian, wth? honestly for me was really hard to watched the series your reactions took the good parts of the show but still I did rolled my eyes to some things here.... Im waiting to see what else they do and I will not watch any other interview from the actors, have you guys watched them?

The interviews is what made me not watch this, I’m only on this video for the comments like yours.
The High Republic is roughly 500 BBY-100 BBY, so the twin suns are definitely starting to set on that era during this show (132 BBY).
In an attempt to clarify some timeline stuff: This show takes place right at the crossroads of two eras of Star Wars storytelling (according to Star Wars website); the end of the "High Republic" and the beginning of the "Fall of the Jedi." So, the "High Republic era" doesn't go all the way until the TPM, but "ends" sometime around the events of "The Acolyte." As far as the length of the "High Republic era," think of it in terms of lasting a few hundred years. Not dozens or thousands of years.I think they have said roughly 500-100 BBY, for now.
Honestly despite some issues I’m enjoying this show so far.

Some of the dialogue is awkward and some of the pacing is off. Overall I am enjoying it.
I'm going to watch the series before making a decision about....like or not. Some shows take a bit to get the story going. Seems ok so far.

Woah, get a load of this weirdo with his normal reactions to a new TV show. You're supposed to call everything you hate woke now.

I'm glad someone else caught the (possibly unintentional) OSHA pun. Of course it was Eric.

Man it’s so refreshing to actually go to a video or some sort of reaction/review to this show without an overwhelming level of hate. These guys have such a way of content creation and a community 👌

All of the SW reactors I follow are predominantly positive. Wave Squadron, Kyle Katarn, Reel Rejects, pReview’d, and the odd other one. Reel Rejects will be a little more vocal about things they don't enjoy, but they aren't toxic like many other reactors out there. I don't have the time or patience for haters.

@@pkrmkn31they didn’t say that. Also it does become toxic when you fixate on it. Normal people don’t spend more time hating things they hate than liking things they like. For example, I watched madame web a few weeks ago and hated it. Gave it a negative letterboxed review and haven’t thought about or mentioned it until right now. That’s normal. The “fans” that fixate on hating everything Disney Star Wars care wayyyyy too much at this point and it comes across as obsessive. And obviously when I say this I don’t mean everyone who has criticisms. I mean the people who aren’t even willing to give newer Star Wars content any credit at all

@@alexm4163 What you are talking about is passionate people who are actual fans of a beloved franchise, who are criticising the material coming from that franchise, which is being used to spread identity politics and political correctness while aiming their newer material at people who have no interest or invest money into the franchise. All they want to do is spread messages that nobody except for a small minority of people want to hear. People are understandably upset and critical of something they once loved literally burning to the ground in front of their eyes. if you don't have criticisms of the new star wars material, and actually think its good and enjoy it, then you definitely was never a star wars fan before 2015. When the owner and the writers of a show go out of their way to specifically say that they are trying to make star wars gay, or the force is female, when there was never any gay, or sex ever even involved in star wars, that doesn't even matter, but now its the main focus to these people. Those are the people who are toxic and fixated on changing something to fit their weird narrative instead of the narrative that already exists. You actually support huge corrupt corporations toxic behaviour, yet get offended by normal people having valid opinions and criticism, its weird.

U guys and Kyle Katarn are honestly a breath of fresh air from the negative peeps out there
0:03 I had no idea. That explains so much...(no disrespect)
I'd like to believe that the Master is a Sith given the allusion to the Sith code. With the Acolyte being 100 years before the Empire, that puts the current Sith Lord being Darth Plagueis or his master, Darth Tenebrous (assuming Tenebrous is canon). We know Sith are still operating in the shadows, having yet to reveal themselves to the Jedi since that takes place in Phantom Menace. The philosophy at the end is interesting. The Jedi being in a proverbial dream shared by all and that dream is killed when a Jedi is killed without a weapon. Hopefully we'll see more of this Master and find out if he's actually a Sith or simply a dark-side user who adopted certain tenets of Sith ideology.
