It took me until this video to finally get that Locutus wasn't standing in front of a command niche or something, but that the Borg projected an enormous, rotating screen into one of those endless pits where the corridors run along.

Yes, since the Borg don't _need_ command consoles and control panels to control their ship, they are a hive mind that plugs into the ship directly. This was a special case for Locutus. It wasn't until the lazy writing of Voyager that we got Borg ships with idiocy like command stations, control panels, and even a _captain's chair._ Ugh, that show was so awful.

Ron Jones' musical score is just so good. It's a tragedy that Rick Berman stopped using him not long after this episode, basically for being too good at his job. I'm re-watching DS9 right now and the only thing that bums me out about it is how pathetic the music is.

I have been rewatching DS9 too and the thing that infuriates me is that it took 4 or 5 seasons for Terry Farrell to get a good hairstyle. They managed to take a model, one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen and made downright unattractive with that terrible hairstyle. Every time she lets her hair loose in the first seasons she becomes about a 100 times more attractive. Were they blind?

@@thibaud1832I felt the same way about Kes. Late 3rd season Voyager briefly gives us Kes with long hair, and she was suddenly gorgeous. I can't help but think that if they'd let her let her hair down sooner, she would have been more broadly popular with fans and thus wouldn't have been replaced with Seven. Interestingly, I just looked it up and learned that the decision to let her hair down was due to Jennifer Lien developing an allergic reaction to the ear prosthetics over time, so they forewent them and had her wear her hair long to hide this. Her immune system should have spoken up sooner!

The intake is how the starfield out the shuttle window doesn't move enough to account for the shuttle leaving the shuttle bay and turning 180 degrees in the opposite direction by the time it flies by the nacelles, right? :)

These are IN takes. They are goofs that are then incorporated into the scene where they occurred. Makes things a bit more interesting showing it in a broader context of the drama of the scene rather than just a gag reel. At least, that's the way I interpret it anyway.

@@am5p8 No, I know. But the intakes are taken from outtakes, like bloopers, jokes (Riker singing), or technical problems.
