I think that's the genius of the intakes. The cut is long enough that we get engrossed in the show and the intake sneaks up on us.

The D’s the Enterprise I always wanted to live aboard, but Pike era Enterprise is looking mighty tempting. That being said, on the D I could just pull that up on the holodeck 😄

These could all be about 30 seconds shorter.

Honestly, Uhura’s taunt is close enough to the “well THAT just happened” style of dialogue they keep shoehorning into new Trek that this might not even be an intake
