You can dual faction grind. It's easy and you can do it free to play. The Borg Tech store is not what you see when destroying hostiles. To see what you get for faction points just click on a faction hostile. You will see by the loot box the faction points. Click on the loot box and it will tell you how many +/- points the hostile will give you. When you blow up a Fed ship, you get Romulan and Klingon points while losing only Fed points. Blowing up Feds you get more Romulan than Klingon, so you do have to balance out your daily's every now and then to keep them balanced out so you aren't canceling out the other. It's very simple to dual faction grind. Once you get the dual lock, you can focus solely on the last faction and that goes very quick since at the level you'd be at by then you would get quite a bit of points per kill.

Actually... You can. But I'm finding that's it's easier to lock two at around the same time if you plan it out very very early in the game. I'm thinking of making a video of how I'm doing it on my alt profile.

i like that where you are focusing on one faction to get it locked then get the other two i am Klin/ Fed both are at consort now will defy try that method out

this isnt bad .. but to simplify .. there are Veteran systems in each faction where killing a 40 Veteran Ship use PMC (need a 1M ship minimum) you should be able to clear 100- 150K XP in faction Rep per Run to the system at about 15-20 min per run .. you can grind out 1M in Faction rep in under 2 hours .. partner that with things he mentions you can get 10M in a week let alone a couple of months.

I just hit Ops 26 and I was really trying to keep two factions on the good side but it was getting harder and harder. Glad I watched this video before I went mad. 😅

You can lock two at the same time I'm about to lock up Fed/Klingon it's taken a few months but definitely doable

@@neelixstfc-server0218 I only buy the BP which is $20 and I basically do all my bounties for fed and Klig and as well as the rep activity and I make sure I destroy a lot of rom ships

3 at a time is a total cancellation. Cursory research should tell anyone that. But you gloss by doing dual faction, actually lumping it in. Quite the contrary. Once you master a few nuances dual grind gets you there and does so with a ton of daily rewards. So it really depends on your goal. Do u just want to get to one fast OR do you want to maximize your daily rewards so you have more resources to work with on a daily basis. Tks for the video.

Personally I would recommend Romulans

One problem with what you are saying about "not doing two" is that when you gain slower, not that you don't gain at all. For example, with the Borg Refinery, you gain 86k, then if you do ONLY ONE of the others you lose 43k. You are still at a net gain. Now, if you do all three, it all evens out, but with two you still are gaining. Works the same with daily reputation events and faction hunting. Not to say your way is wrong, but just that doing 2 is possible.

you need to concentrate on one faction after the other. Fed is the fastest one to get the first lock. Only doing this dailys and missions and then the next. Why is Fed ist fast? If you´re able to go to Ty´Gokor you get the most reputation from the traders, even more than in DS killing 45+....the bad thing....only possible with fed, the other factions does not have those traders.

@@Thadevil2002 Oh, you are definitely correct. I was just commenting on the video saying it was 'impossible' to gain trying two factions at a time and I've gained 5 million faction points in 2 without concentrating on one. As I said, it is slower.

Maybe impossible is a strong word, but doing one at a time is faster... the videos are intended to get my alliance built up as fast as possible for free... for them (not me) taking longer is not an option. Me saying it's impossible is meant as... not in a fast way

I did this method to bring Klingons up out of the -2 mil area and equal with my Federation so that they can progress at the same time and has done will. Klingons are ahead now because I've been killing Romulans like it's cool. They'll be locked first, but won't take long for Federation after that.

i sacrificed 1 for the leveling of two one went faster then the other but level two at the same time.

Hi Neelix, this video could not be more timely!! Thanks so much for posting it. I am an ops lvl 27, single faction at 5M with Fed and -2M on Klingon and Romulans. I am gunning for the Sally and short 40 blueprints. Currently the dailies to get Fed rep from hostiles are unachievable with my 430K Vahklas. My question is what ops lvl does this typically work for? Currently I can only complete the Fed mining and reputation events with the power I have!

Not gonna lie, it's going to be a grind, with lots of patience... You're going to say least be up to a 34-35'ish level to do it the way I did... However, there is hope... If you can get your Sally, going and have Pike Mareau and Chen, you'll do better than you'd think. That configuration does wonders and you should be able to catch yourself up pretty quickly. If you've gotten Transport Patterns in your Officer Recruit tab, use them to help you get Pike. At your level you should already have Chen and Mareau... Even if they are not leveled all the way, you will see a huge difference. Keep your chin up, and you'll get there before you know it 🖖😎

I'm not for from ops 28 now and will upgrade as soon as I can, just need 38 more BPs for the Sally. Thanks for the super useful advice and encouragement. I just got Moreau today so just need Pike to seal PMC crew. No transporter patterns as yet, havent been fortunate enough to max a rare or epic officer yet. Any tips on a Pike alternative to use with Chen and Moreau?

@@jonathancooper6874 that is a tough one, because I've had mixed results on that. Someone once told me to use second Uhura, but by the time I learned to use PMC... I was just power housing it with Kirk Spock and Chen... Not the best combo, but they got me through a lot. Let me see if I can figure something out and get back to you.

Additionally I now have my very own Sally after what seems decades and I am now Ops 28 sitting at 7.5M Fed Rep. Not far to go now, thanks again for all your help.

I locked Fed and Rom no problem. It does take longer because you lose about half rep to each faction but it's still faster than 1 at a time since you can hit the enemy faction traders for both rep. You're so wrong.

if i have fed and romulan locked should i go second lock for fed by killing romulans? that should bring up my klingon passively. i also have g4 gas in territory so i can mine that for dailies. orrrr should i just go and lock klingon now...

I'm dual factioning and its easy, i don't understand how you can say its not possible? Close to locking both fed and rom at the same time. i'm getting 2x daily rewards as well and ive grinded out a bortas, kvort and 1/3rd of a brel.

I've been dual grinding Fed/Klig for months and its very slow. Considering just going to lock one via your method now. I'm ops 26 working towards Sally

Did the same, gave up up fed and closed klingons in one month. Then started rom and still working to 10m after 2 months, but it’s worth the effort.

I locked two exactly at the same time

Level 44 Tri-Locked after 8 days from Fed only

I'm ops level 32... where can I grind for Fed points at. Also, I have 2 horizons... is it worth going after 1 or all 3 of the mining ships? Or just stick with my Horizon

The way I did it... Was I got a horizon to max out, but also built 3 more and only took them to about tier 3... Then replaced them with one of each faction miner. yes... Get the faction miners... horizon doesn't go as far, but keep one to max out so you can use it as a runner. Also... It mines faster than most.

How do you lock the faction do I need to buy something, Or is it when you reach 10 million it automatically locks?

Pick the faction you want to lock first, second, and third... Beat up on the third one and leave the other two alone. Save up all the in game missions that give faction reputation points in the second and third one, only doing the faction rep missions in the first one... Do that until you've reached 10 mil points... That's your locking point. Then do the Rep missions for the second one, and grind in the first one to get the points in the second and third... This will eventually lock all three. Good luck

Isn't there a mission limit? I would be worried about not being able to accept more missions

There is a mission limit yes, but the ones you're really wanting to save are the ones that effect Rep Points.

If you want to stop getting chased, and to get bigger and better faction ships.... yes

I spent a week with this game and even though I progressed rapidly as a f2p, I came to realize no matter how advanced you are, there will ALWAYS be someone more advanced than you. In summary, it's a total waste of time.

To be fair, yes .. it becomes a time killer after a while and I agree with you 100% ... however... this game was made for Star Trek fans who can get together and chat it up and become friends through this game. And yes .. games like this aren't made to make friends... but .. it's Star Trek... is geeks and nerds can not only battle in game, but can battle in chat over who knows more about Trek 🤣...
