The Browning Hi-Power has escaped my hands since the Panama Invasion of 1989-90. I have been looking hard to find one since. I missed out on the Argentinian ones from the late 90s from Rosario. I found them at gun shows and some shops but they are asking an arm and a leg for them. Even the surplus ones are horrible and priced stupid. Now Springfield has one, now I am saving up for one because I trust Springfield's quality.

Thank-you Sir! This was another excellent video! Big 👍 from us. Young Beretta just pick up a tricked out Springfield Armory SA-35 slightly used and tricked out. I did a tabletop video on it when you have some free time. I love both your pistols in this video. Stay Safe out there. B9USA Sr.

Thats a beautiful piece you have there BATJAC. Congratulations on your acquisition of it.😊 I remember when you could pick them up for a song. I used to drool over the pictures in the monthly Shotgun News and, the NRA's American Rifleman magazine back in the 1950's and 60's. Thanks for sharing. Stan

I love the SA-35! I have two with sequential serial numbers! But I also love my FN Hi-Power. But to be honest, Springfield “fixed” the Hi-Power. The grips on the SA-35 are absolutely B E A U T I F U L walnut! They’re so simple, but just gorgeous. Do yourself a favor and buy yourself a Cylinder & Slide Browning Hi-Power extractor as a spare. Also the BH Spring Solution extractor is just as good! Both are CNC machined and better made part than factory Springfield extractors. It’s superior to the Springfield one and if the gun starts to malfunction, it will be due to the extractor. But they say since the 10000-12000 serial number range, anything made after that and Springfield fixed the extraction issues. So far, my guns with 18XXX serial numbers, have yet to have any malfunction and I’ve put 1,300 rounds through one of them. The other is just in a box and won’t be shot.

I just took my SA35 to the range today and I'm totally impressed with what Springfield has done. 200 rounds and not one hiccup! This thing is way more accurate than my Mk 3. The grips have an awesome texture that sticks to your hand like glue. I normally gravitate to M&P's, but for 1911's, I might have to check out Springfield.

For those rumors at the frame and slide are imported from Turkey I called customer service and they say that all of the frame and slide are forged right here in Illinois just throwing that out there

Dont even bother with the Girsan. They feel so cheap compared to a FN.

I've got their "Match" version of the Hi power clone and besides my rear sight coming loose and my fiber optic flying away around 200 rounds, the gun runs great. I've put about 500ish rounds through mine and never had a single hickup with any ammo including HP. I got a SA-35 last week, shot it the same day and had 5 FTE out of 120 rounds. The slide also didn't want to lock back a few times as well. The girsan (In my experience) at least works.

I've heard their 1911 are pretty damn good, and I've had no problems with my M1A from them ever, so I really just think they said "fuck it" and shoved em out with barely any testing. They even sent Garand Thumb two messed up guns to review.

@SRVNORMANDY check your serial number. The first 10- 12,000 had extractor issues I've read. Put the first 200 rounds thru mine and it was flawless, and accurate. Serial #14xxx
