The BHP barrel feed ramp is curved. It is straight in the SA35. The Mark III BHP uses a straight feed ramp to feed hollownpoints. The curved feed ramp will not feed hollowpoints reliably. The SA35 straight feed ramp will feed hollow points. The frame shoulders that support the feed ramp in the SA35 have been grounded back. The BHP has a sharp corner on those shoulders that will hang uo some hollow points. I used a Dremel took grinding stone to grind back the sharp corners to feed reliably.

Excellent job Bat Jack J.W. Looks to me like Springfield did a good job with the refinements.I would like to get one.On my list.Heard a few bugs in the beginning. I like improvement on sights, dovetails both rear and front.Shoot straight, Keep up the great work.

It appears that parts won't quite interchange but it would have been nice to see that shown.

Yes most parts will interchange. The grips will change. Safeties will change. I have a Browning High Power bought in the mid 1980s, Mark III, and I got the SA35 last year. I tried to swap the ambi safety over to the SA35, and they fit. It's a bit too tight and could use a bit of stoning, but it's like any aftermarket part. Needs a bit of fitting but it works The sear swaps, the hammer swaps, the magazines swap. I have Pachmayr rubber bumper pads installed on the BHP magazines. Since Pachmayr doesn't make these bumper pads anymore, i just swapped the base plates from the BHP to the SA35 and they all fit. I ordered LOK palmnswell grips black and red Ridgeback and installed them on the SA35. I then installed the SA35 grips to my BHP.
