Spring Motorbike Check

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

10 points to check on your bike when it has not been ridden for a while. It might have been laid up over winter, or in my case, a broken shoulder has meant I have been unable to ride! już w trochę późnym wieku - 46 - zdecydowałem się zrobić prawo jazdy na motocykl. po jego zdaniu od razu przeglądając oferty sprzedaży motorów zwróciłem uwagę na właśnie ten egzemplarz, pojechałem i kupiłem wersję 2001.

    Yeah, it has turned into a really nice space to work in, the carpets mean I can kneel down without being uncomfortable, there is even a heater in there now so it is nice and toasty!

    Tamsen Cooper it's really good and I mean it to find a fellow enthusiast who not only enjoys riding but takes the time to make clear concise videos to help us all. I love riding mine and equally love tinkering with it and watching your videos helps alot because you can apply most things you teach to all bikes. Now I'm waffling lol

    Awesome video, Thanks for the info! On CB500 is so damn hard to check the coolnet, why did they do it like that is beyond me, Also, is it normal your bike use so much oil? Hope you'll be riding back soon!

    I am really pleased you enjoyed the video! Some bikes have things in weird places, I find the front cylinder spark plug a mission to get to on the sv650. Bikes use oil but if you are losing a lot of oil, that would be worth checking for sure.

    Great video! Could you make a video about how to install the full fairing for the SVS? I've got a 2000 SVS and I just bought the full fairing but I don't know how to mount it :)

  • @TamsenCooper

    @TamsenCooper

    6 жыл бұрын

    Yeah of course I could do that, so the bike you have at the moment, does it have the upper fairings as standard and you want the information on how to fit the lower ones? Can you give me the link on where you bought them from and I will take a quick look to see if they are the same as mine, as they were not a part made by Suzuki (they missed a trick Imo, I love the fully faired look) they are slightly different fixings from each manufacturer and I can try to make sure I cover yours off in the video. Or, plan B...Take a trip to sunny Cornwall and I will give you a hand to fit them!

  • @Tibiskui

    Tamsen Cooper Yeah I already have the upper ones, and I want to install the lower ones. I bought it from a French secondhand sales website, I have to clean the parts and paint it. The seller send with the lower parts some fixing screws but I don't really know how to mount these parts ^^ Thèse parts are for sure the same as yours. I could come to your country but I just got my licence and the bike, so not an easy trip from the southern France ahahah (sorry for my English, maybe not the best ahah)

    Hi Thomas, thank you so much! Great to hear from people in other countries as well! The stand in the video is an ABBA stand, it is simply the best stand I have ever used, I was able to put my bike up one handed, and the bike is so solid when it is up there, it doesn't move at all!

    Hi hope your doing well and your arm is healing well. I need some advice for my curvy sv650. My indicators have stopped working and can’t figure out what it could be. I have checked relay, fuse, switch and accessible wires and nothing. Thanks in advance

    Have you given the connector to the indicator a really good clean with contact cleaner? I had an electrical issue that turned out to be weather beaten connectors, our bikes are 16 years old so that is a fair amount of time in the elements. Check all earth wires as that is another common issue. I hope this helps.
