Motorbike Chain Adjustment Gadgets
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
I teamed up with the guys from @RiderCamTV to do a video about chain adjustment gadgets. It was really good fun filming with them and I hope you enjoy. We take a look at 3 different tools available and give each of them a go. There is even a BPA racing chain adjuster giveaway.
As always, thanks for watching, I read all the comments and try to respond to as many as I can. Please check out the RiderCamTV channel too, they post some really great stuff!

Thanks Tamsen great to see your doing video's again and finger's crossed for wonderful riding weather in the spring.. The lads at RiderCamTv are a great bunch and I've been subscribed to them for a while, they're both like two crazy brothers but there must be some back stage cat fighting any gossip to share Tamsen 🤔😜😜 Anyway with BPA tool I posted the question on the Ridercam video, say I calibrated the chain and marked it on the BPA tool, should I ensure the next time I check it to have it in the same location as before, would having it closer to the rear sprocket change the result? Great tool would love to give a home.
I would like it for my Honda VARADERO because I'm very lazy like mark at doing my chain adjustment and this tool would make me check the chain regular as it can be very dangerous not having it adjustment properly 😉 great work guys and girls.
great video, watched on rider cam tv, channel so funny.
Already subscribed to your channel after the first vid. with the boys on chain adjusting. This would be a very handy bit of kit - far better than my current set up of an old school ruler! Perfect for touring too.
Congratulations to the channel and greetings from the Polish backyard. Today I'm cooking caliper soup and potatoes topped with oil from the front fork. ;-)
I ride a yamaha MT09 tracer, and iam paranoid over chain adjustment.

Yeah, a lot of people out there never check it, and it’s so important!

Hi the instruction on the chain monkry states to remove the black domecover befors use , it works well but always on tge loose side , mine states 25 to 35 mm and it leaves the chain slack on 35mm
I always set chain tension with me sat on bike…..

Yeah, some manuals for some models have centre stand, some side stand. Always worth checking the book for your bike.

@@TamsenCooper always just done it that way. Currently riding a 2000 sv 650 don’t know if that’s right or wrong?
Hi, I’d like one of these for my Africa twin adventure sport pleas, looks so quick and easy which would be ideal as I could spend some quality time taking my goldfish for its swimming lessons😬
Na het zien van deze video besloten deze spannings meter te kopen, bedank voor deze video.
Wify would like this for her gs750
I threw the chain monkey in the bin at the end of my review, yet the Motion Pro worked brilliantly.

Yeah I wasn’t that impressed, the motion pro was ok, but the BPA racing tool was the easiest by far, so easy to do a quick check once it’s calibrated.
Will I have a hope of being drawn for one of these? I have loads of luck - all of it bad. (Newly subbed to a channel that has never been shown to me by youtube)

@@TamsenCooper Hi Tamsen how are you can you do a pillion ride at all
that's great, can I ask y what major I need to study that can this work like you?
Hello I've got a question: I've got thesame model sv650 as you have, and my chain slack keeps getting loose even with a new chain and sprockets. I set the axle nut on the correct Nm, but I think it keeps creeping forward as I drive. Do you maybe need to somehow locktite the chain adjuster bolts? I've also got the official manual and doing everything by the book, but I guess something must have worn that makes the chain slack adjustment go off. I just find it odd there is no way to somehow lock the adjuster bolts, other bikes do have these locking nuts in place. Any tip would be helpful thank you..!
Like n sub Be great to have 1 for my klr650 so when showing someone to learn to ride I'd look like a pro explaining the chain. (Had mechanic adjust the chain...ssshhh lol) Glad you did vid with the boys as able to show my girl other females do it .
could i please be in with a chance to win something lol even if mark has to demo it lol altho my tdm 900 is ready for some tlc and this would be epic
You didn't explain the chain monkey correctly at all, it's to set the chain tension not check it
Tape mesure takes all of 10 seconds , 50 pence from the locall garage , if you cant operate a tape mesure maybe they should not be riding
