I remember that FXX did a "Every Simpsons Ever" marathon for like a month or so... Personally, streaming does have one advantage: You choose the episode YOU want, instead of waiting until it comes on.

I feel like if SpongeBob SquarePants ended with the first movie, most people will have good memories from it, saying it is the closest thing to a perfect animated series and not only that but SpongeBob SquarePants won’t suffer from Seasonal rot at all and some shows will Last Longer since SpongeBob SquarePants is responsible for these shows getting cancelled.

I thought season 6-8 was actually funny, I wouldn't wanna part ways with it just so season 1-3 can become even more renowned.

I think if I wanted to host a television network, I’d include a staggering amount of variety to keep interests afloat.

Why are all the comments about "Nickelodeon" when this is Nicktoons we're talking about? Right this second they're airing a movie and is only running SpongeBob for an hour before an hour of Rock Paper Scissors, then one episode of SpongeBob before another movie. Nicktoons is a rerun/graveyard channel and has been for years, this should surprise no one.

In other news, the sky is blue. Nickelodeon doesn't care about any other show on their network anymore, and they've stopped pretending months ago. If Cartoon Network didn't share a timeslot with Adult Swim, they'd definitely be in the same boat as well. It would be pretty nice if Nick's adult-oriented programming block had actual cartoons instead of just sitcoms (FRIENDS is a good show though, don't get me wrong. but still)

At this point, Nick is just giving up. At least Disney is improving their content and actually trying to get better, especially after their 100 year fiasco last year. It's thanks to Bob iger for trying to fix Disney since Chapek ruined Disney while Nickelodeon is ran by Brian Robbins and John Flannery since 2018 and they ruined Nickelodeon with their spamming movies bullshit since October 2020 and Paramount is very close to bankruptcy even before the Quiet on Set the Dark Side of Kids TV came out do not forget Disney also hired Brian Peck as soon as he got out of jail so both of them aint doing better either that belongs to Cartoon Network and Adult Swim since they have been improving since 2022, bringing back old shows, had actual variety, made a Checkered past block, so Cartoon Network is better than both of them actually

​@@matcha6710 the purpose of Nicktoons since 2002 (it's launch) is to be a secondary home for semi-recent Nicktoons that deserve to play somewhere that's not on the main network. And here we are in 2024 and there is hardly any show that fits that description which is why Nicktoons is such a cesspool.

I remember when nick toons used to air original nick and legacy content because they did back then but now days I just stick to streaming for the most part

That show is super old yet still occasionally plays even on the main network when everything else gets booted in a year or two that one gets to linger whenever for years alongside it's 100% necessary live action show, then there's Nicktoons which typically plays that show in massive marathons except for currently which has gotten everyone angry, and lastly there's TeenNick also which plays the show through the night. They treat the show extremely well except for rare occasions. It's one of the biggest cartoons of all time it seems and Nickelodeon knows that.

Iirc, didn't nick do this a long time ago? I remember there was week of showing every single SpongeBob episode, in chronological order, leading up the new episode. Me and my little sister watched it all lol. I believe that was during the late 2000s

Idk bout y'all, but having SpongeBob on 24/7 is like heaven to me. I binge watch SpongeBob whenever I get the chance and this is the perfect opportunity to do that. :)

Since this year is SpongeBob's 25th anniversary, why not?
