I feel like once they add enough mechanics for marvel spiderman 3 it would make sense to make this and it would pop off. I dont really blame them for cancelling it as of right now i just hope it comes back

I have a theory that we will see this after or added in Spiderman 3, the idea is too good to be abandoned. Imagine there is a “campaign” and then a “multiplayer” side to Spiderman 3, more people will be willing to try the multiplayer and even buy a battle pass or micro transaction in a game that feels more complete, and less risk because its not a full title just something optional.

Imagine they cancelled the game only to add it as free dlc to Spiderman 3 or a separate gamemode entirely in the 3rd game. Makes more sense to be honest, with a lot less risk.

I’m seeing ideas floating around of this coming back later which I really hope ends up being accurate, I think we need development focused on spider-man 3 for now but this could be a great future project and this seems very well planned out and has an amazing premise, I guess we’ll have to see but I hope the great web gets a chance to shine

Maybe Insomniac should do something like what Trae Gonzales and amazing psm did and select a handful of Spidersonas from content creators etc for the Spider-Man the great web. Some of the spidersonas I personally have seen have been cringy and weird but some are actually really cool and amazing like the one made by Fantasy creed Spiders grace.

i think the cancelation of this game was due to higher up studios like sony, disney etc, cuz as across the spiderverse is cannon to the mcu and shit and they had the madame webb shit and everything so if the game sets up a entirely new "The Great Web" shit would be confusing them so maybe they scrapped the idea.

It would of been amazing, to play as Gwen and different symbiotes, and I know this won’t happen but I hope if there is a spider man 2 DLC they release something like this, like I would love to customise my own spider like that would be AMAZING!! I’m actually kinda glad that this wasn’t made, this gives me SS:KTJL vibes cause it features Multiplayer, AAA, Open-World, Live-Service elements, seasons, micro-transactions just like Suicide Squad. Kinda hate F2P . Just make a good story and charge 60$. Every year make a new story line with new cosmetics and sell it for 20$ . Have other cosmetics for sale at all times . Thats it.
