The only villain I saw was Peter Parker. He's just a stupid teen with power. He don't even know the people he work with throughout his life. Osborne is dangerous. You could see it yourself on Osborne pc where dozen of rats got infected with a very contiguous disease that could infected the world. And the victims will die in mass. What I hate about this game is that you can't use diplomacy to change the outcome. When Negative Li asked me to join him, there was no option to accept. I always wonder what would happened if Peter Parker never have his power and he just other homeless teen?

it’s just cause they kinda threw the new model in their, and fully copied the expressions from the old one, so it doesn’t really match what the news ones emotions should look like. in the upcoming it’ll look better

The parallel between peter saying, "you knew" angrily and hurt to doc ock, and saying the same thing to aunt may on her death bed is honestly one of the most underappreciated details of the ending sequences. It really connects how much he lost within the short time frame and how different yet similar the emotions were between the two losses.

EXACTLY I was just going to comment this, the dichotomy between the way Otto got that response by manipulating and abusing Peter while May got it by trying to support and uplift him, it shows exactly why loving family like May is necessary in a world full of people like Otto

While I'm not a big fan of the face change, 16:32 - 16:45 is likely one of the most emotionally poignant scenes in any videogame I've ever played. The lighting on his face, the detail of the dirt and bruises, the all-out expressiveness of Ben Jordan... Moments like this really make you glad they are using the new hardware to what seems like the fullest extent.

Yeah I'm starting to come around on the face, the original I still think felt more "mature" but I can see that its proportions were a little off, it takes some time watching it in motion but it works, and it seems that they're gonna make it more mature in the second game anyway

I have never teared up in any video game ending before. This made me cry so bad. Insomniac are legends.

I reckon it would be cool (and also kind of tragic) if the next time Otto shows up he's wearing a full-body armor which he relies on for transport and motor skills since by that point he has lost control of his limbs due to the neurological disorder he is suffering from.

I think the main issue with Peter's new face is that they already made all the motion capture and animation for the original and just added a new face on top of it. Once he's the primary face it'll look better

Even in the remaster, he still threats you while he’s pinned to the ground.

Based on a limited understanding of how animation works - the face will look even better in projects where it was the first face used, in Spiderman 2018 remaster the face is slightly limited in emotional range because the way it moves is based on how the old face moved, when the movements are designed for THIS face it'll be better.

When Otto Octavius said “he’ll be trapped in that useless body” that might be a reference to Superior Spider-Man when in the comics Octavius took over Parker’s body. They might do that in Spider-Man 2 the game.

Not 2 imo, hopefully 3 or 4 since we should give peter and miles some time to breathe before we change their circumstances so dramatically. Second game should be the rising of Harry Osborn Venom and Green Goblin. Maybe the second half of the 3rd game could be Superior Spider-Man.

Some villains were once good people, but they have been hurt, laughed at, mocked, and looked down on by other people, while some do nothing to help them. Time passes by, and villains would become villains for sinister plans, including to exact payback on the people who wronged them. People don't understand what they have done to deserve being targeted, and when they see the reason, they get shocked. Some would act like they have never done wrong, while some see this as childish. They refuse to deal with what they have done in the past and are more concerned about their reputations being ruined. They don't care about the damage they have done, but they care when they are wronged. The villains would be stopped and face punishment, but the people who have been hostile towards them in the past, must face punishment too. For those who are uncaring and remorseless, their punishment needs to be doubled. They would get upset about this, but they should have thought about this before they made the choice not to say sorry and owe up. For some who care and have remorse, they have to redeem themselves, as well as say sorry to the villains.

Imagine some random dude just saw the wallet of Norman fall and yoink it, that had like millions of money

New face weird but I still stand by the idea this is by far the best SpiderMan Doc Oc story I’ve seen in a media adaption

Fun fact: spider man is voiced by the same voice actor as sasuke from naruto

Honestly, I don’t care that his face changed, I love the story just as much as I did when I first played this game

Like a lot of people said, the new face doesn't look terrible per se, but I'm just always going to feel like I've been robbed of my real Spider-Man. I'm seriously going to miss John Bubniack, his face capture had more expressions, charm and overall life.

I go into the comment sections of Spider-Man posts, knowing EXACTLY what I'm going to see. John Bubniak recorded nothing in terms of facial capture for the final game. He was simply used to take pictures of, upload it into 3D software, creating a model of his head and textures for the face. After the assets like this were refined for a final project, what he thinks is him recording facial capture for the game, is actually just screen tests. Seeing how well the face works with the man whose face it is based off of. Basically, it's a way for the artists to get reference on how it SHOULD move, what makes the face naturally move, and gives a general understanding of what makes the face work, before moving it to the facial muscles of someone with a completely different face. Since this one supposedly matches Lowenthal's facial structure better, it should actually better reflect his performance, which would mean that when people say there isn't as much expression in the face, the old one may have had some happy accidents (as well as a lot more refinement work put into the capture data by the mocap artists after the performance) to make the face look more expressive. Given that someone like Josh Brolin can play Thanos, who looks nothing like him, real well, I'm thinking it wasn't a facial match issue, but more that working with Bubniak had some road bumps. Him not seeming to understand what he was doing with the facial capture, even though I'm sure he was told several times, and still perpetuating this idea that he had any work at all in the final result, is probably part of his problem. Not to mention that he got into a minor internet argument with one of the higher-ups in Insomniac about this very same issue. Basically, all this to say, I find it annoying when people talk about it not having as much life or expression and that they miss Bubniak's performance, because it's all still Lowenthal's performance inside and out. The voice, the movements, the facial expressions, all of it. I would only say that given that it is a remaster, they didn't put as much work into the facial capture refinement to make it as powerful because there was so much more to work on for the remaster than just that. It looks fine to me, although, I'd be lying if I said I never saw the differences. However, if people still think this by Spider-Man 2, then perhaps Lowenthal isn't as good an actor as everybody thought he was.

not a bad face, old one was better but new one needs emotion, his face looks its putting the same emotion especially in the very serious scenes

I have the feeling that Insomniac just pasted this face over the old one causing it to look wrong in some scenes. I think it will be better in Spider-Man 2
