God, Yuri Lowenthal absolutely killed it in this game. The anger and hurt in his voice when he's confronting Otto, and the scream when he's stabbed, the tears in "I don't know what to do". I've always liked him in every role I've heard him in, but this is my fav BY FAR.

He revealed his new powers to someone he considers an older brother, expecting him to be blown away and shocked, only to have the entire situation flipped when Peter does the same thing. I love the writing of these two scenes. Octavius, a mentor and almost father figure to Peter, knows he's Spider-Man and still tries to kill him for his own benefit, then begs for his life with threats. Aunt May, who raised Peter and is basically his mother, knows he's Spider-Man and tells him to do what's right, even at the cost of her own life. What a heart breaking life for him.

The thing that still amazes me most is how that tiny glass of antiserum didn't crack or break during the whole thing

They even removed the part where Peter's face was hidden in darkness when he was about to give Aunt May the serum. That's a true shame. To me it represented that Peter was going down a dark path, something he would definitely regret in the long run by saving his aunt but letting thousands of others die. It was beautifully done once his face appeared in the light again after he decided not to do it. They should have kept that.

The new version uses ray-tracing and other more "high-tech" lighting technologies that should theoretically simulate light better. The problem is, the PS4 had handcrafted lighting for various sets and scenes, and even though it wasn't as realistic, it looked better most of the time.

This was such a sad ending, but I’m glad that Peter managed to save countless people. It really make me cry both happy and sad when May died, but she told him how proud she was that he was Spider-Man. Even thought Peter lost his final family member it’s hard to to feel happy for him that Aunt May left telling him she was proud of him and wanted the best for him.

I love how you can tell exactly the point where Peter can tell Doc. Ock is too far gone. The moment that he tries to manipulate him using the knowledge of his secret identity, Peter realizes he clearly hasn’t learned any lesson, and decides to leave him to his fate.

I legit was not expecting the ending we had at this game, just the storytelling the things at stake with peters options, the fight between him and Dr Otto. Peter/Spider-Man embodies spreading good/kindness KNOWING and expecting nothing in return, yes those moments of wanting to catch a break or have something go his way. But in the end he does what is best for others and those he cares about.

Miles: “Pete, does this job ever get easier?” Peter: “Some of it, yeah. Some things never get easier, though.”

I remember when I beat this, I did EVERYTHING. The game was 100% complete except for this last part, and all I could do was say "but... I did everything, surely there is a way to save her." That was when I realized it was the perfect Spider-Man story.

This scene made me cry so hard. One of the things I will always love about spiderman is how human he is and just seeing him in this scenario really fucked me up.seeing Spiderman, one if not the Greatest role models I've ever had in my life have this sort of moment, a role model that represents strength against impossible odds and the drive to always do what's right, struggle like this really does something to your heart.

@@peepeebandit you’re referring to Superior Spider-Man. It was a phenomenal comic run, it had Otto transfer his mind into Spider-Mans. Peter was there subconsciously but Otto tried to delete him from his mind. Otto eventually learned with great power comes great responsibility BUT he did it in his own way. Kinda brutal and fucked up in some cases but he was definitely a fun Spider-Man to read!

So he learned why peter does it and how much of a hero and sacrifice he was to do it. So he swore to honor peter and become a superior spiderman

Hah I love how miles and peter are moving furniture in the end, despite both being well strong enough to do it on their own. Just goes to show they’re both looking for an excuse to hang out

I think this was the saddest and most meaningful death in any spider man story. He can still save her life but has to make the choice not to. I don't think I could be strong enough or have a morality enough to make this choice in this situation ever. This righteousness for whatever the cost is the essence of this character and I love how well they capture it here.

Aunt may died in spider man no way home ☹️

The whole Peter/Miles dynamic in these games is so awesome and wholesome. I love the shot of both of them on the ceiling because it shows that they aren’t alone in this, it’s the start to an Amazing friendship.

I've never played the game, but the scene with aunt May was great. The voice acting is terrific, the music suits it, very emotional, i felt every piece of tragedy and heroism Peter had to go through. 10/10.

Anyone else here after watching No Way home?

Normally, I don't mind cosmetic changes like this, but I like how Peter looked when this game first came out. It felt like it was something new while still looking like what you'd imagine a young adult Peter Parker would look like. But then, for some reason, they turned him into Tom "Miles Teller" Holland.

well, as person that always beside peter, take care of peter since he was a kid , it wouldnt be hard for her to figure out that her nephew is spider-man.... and also otto accidentally saw peter repairing his suit, but he prentended he saw peter as spider-man "side kick" kind of, i'm pretty sure he knew from that moment

Yuri Lowenthal is up there with the great voice actors. To think.....he went from winning the lottery in New Vegas to bringing Peter to life in a game. Fucking wonderful.

The voice acting still hits so hard after all this time. This wasn't a game it was an experience

4:05 Otto's speech is both absolutely right and wrong at the same time. Peter uses his talents and powers as Spider-Man not because the people are beneath him, but because he walks among them, they in turn, with him.

It’s so great and wholesome that Miles was ready to tell Peter about his powers that he didn’t even want his mom to know about. And he didn’t even know Peter was Spider-Man.
