@@playstation.e7703 no, i used a mod before which changes the suit ingame (it dont change the suit in cutscenes) and the suit changes at 2:02 bc thats where the gameplay begins

The lighting actually is like real life lol. Ray tracing means volumetric lighting/global illumination. It’s real lighting how it’s is in real life

wow... just ... wow. I remember when they first announced the remaster and so many people kept saying it wouldn’t be worth and not change much . And damn were proved wrong, i didn’t think it was possible but this looks miles better than the base game

I personally think this game is the best take on the character, its just perfect

This game is a goddamn masterpiece. There are a handful of really annoying objectives on some bases and chalenges, but otherwise it's perfect. Yuri Lowenthal is my favorite Spider-Man of all time. Miles Morales is great, if a bit too short and light on side objectives compared to the first. I am so excited for Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine.

One of the best moments in Spider-Man history. The music, the story being told without words through that beginning one-shot, the seamless transition from cutscene to gameplay, it’s incredible.

The more I look at the new face I like it more and also the lighting is amazing.

Agreed. He looks more his age(24) not like a 30ish year old man. More expressive as well. I'm impressed by the raytraced reflections. I honestly didn't think either next-gen console would be offering it up in so many titles. Gives me hope for games releasing down the line incorporating it for shadows and ambient occlusion. I honestly don't notice the reflections without going out of my way to observe it specifically. Not to imply it isn't a nice touch, just shadows and ambient occlusion provide a much more noticeable change.

@Mr. Blueberry lol, it feels that way sometimes. I've got no spidey powers helping me out. I've just always had issue with pete and mj's face in the original. They look off compared to the other supporting cast. MJ looks smooth as porcelain and Peter looks too old and made of clay. I am "acclimated" to them, though. I just think the new Peter looks more natural and human. I never had to adjust to the new look. I know that seems controversial given popular opinion.

I've only just realised this but the music when he the combat starts is eerily similar to the city music from the first mission of Spider-Man 1 on PS2. Trust me guys, if this is an intentional reference than fair play Insomniac.

This is how a Spider-Man movie should start. A college age Peter Parker with ambition and desire to be the next Avenger. I wonder if the actor for the remastered game was ever selected a role for a Spider-Man movie.

Never actually played this game, don't own neither the Ps4 or the Ps5 but I love this intro so much

one of the best intros in a video game and the best way to kick off marvel's spiderman jumping out window swinging and playing a song is exactly what i want in tom holland spiderman 4

is just me or does the red on the classic suit look brighter? Also now the damaged classic suit gets a spot because of how his skin is more noiticible. But it needs a bit more tears

This is hands down the best take on super heroes in a video game. For a long time it was Arkham Series for me (specially Arkham Knight), but this game nails every aspect of feeling the day-to-day super hero job.

yeah would be great but then you would be having to pay actor 1 again for no reason, licensing contracts what not... if the face was just a generic hand drawn face then i dont see a problem making as many different faces as you wanted but its a real actors likeness so it sounds like too much unnecessary options... when youre really not missing the actor 1s face... only reason everyones complaining is because they got used to it.... youre all going to get used to the new spidey face and youre gonna change your mind and love him

Fidelity mode is 4K at 30FPS with ray-traced reflections. I don’t know if there are more applications of raytracing other than the reflections though

I'm still not crazy about the new face, but damn those graphics are fantastic. When he jumps out the window it really looks like a cold morning.

I miss the original design they had for Peter in this game. The redo just doesn't look right to me. Still love this opening with my whole heart. The song and intro to swinging is already nostalgic for me.

This looks nice, but the actual motion won't be this smooth to play as it's running in 30fps fidelity mode. Gameplay captured at 30fps, then watched on KZread at 60fps will appear smoother than the gameplay actually is.

Ok, why did insomniac games change Peter’s face from the original ps4? What was wrong with it? Cause I love it!! I don’t like this new face in the remastered. Everything else looks great! But, that face! >.

People keep saying that this face looks younger and blah blah blah but they forget that Peter is in his mid 20s, he isn’t supposed to look old, for christ’s sake!!

He’s older than Miles but Miles is like 15, and being Spider-Man for 8 years, supposing that he’d started when he was also around 15, this would make him 23 years old and as a 31 years old man myself, I confirm that 23 years old people look young af.
