The Sony hack back in 2014 was the main reason why the third film was canceled and some of the spin-offs to the Garfield Spider-Man universe that were planned were canceled as well and decided later on to incorporate Spider-Man into the MCU so it isn’t Sony fault blame it on the hacker for getting it canceled

bcs people hated this movie and the studios decide eventually to not continue. but now it is slowly been acknowledged.

0:08 & 1:15 just seem so damn real. despite its flaws, Garfield was truly the AMAZING Spider-man. the quips, his movements (some cgi whatever), just everything about him in the suit was perfect. truly wish he had gotten more recognition during his time in the suit.

No one talks about this scene at 6:00 The way he sticks the plutonium on the post with precision Super human speed (the way he looks at the situation in the bus) Super human strength stopping the bus

00:30 - 00:50 is my favorite part of this scene. The first person web swinging into rhe "what have you got for me today, new york?", and then the shot of him in the air with oscorp tower on the side and the camera shaking as the helicopter passes by is just the best spidey anything. Then the "alright, let's get to work" is just pure Spider-Man.

Andrew came off more as Deadpool than Spider-Man. He was WAY too casual with his quips, and he definitely got people killed because he wanted to tell jokes. To be fair that’s in the writers, not Andrew.

Andrew's really tactile. He wraps his arm around his aunt and Gwen like he knows them for real. He repeats his words and fumbles his lines. There's something unique about that when you compare his style of acting with others.

It’s honestly a damn shame the rest of the movie didn’t keep up with how strong this opening was. This, the Goblin and Electro fights and Gwen’s death are the main highlights of this film. Andrew really does deserve a 3rd movie, hopefully without Sony’s interference.

Andrew delivered the _essence_ of Spiderman better than anyone, his physical agility, quippyness, body language and acting in general were incredible. It's a shame the films let him down. Edit: Moral of the story, always double down on your unpopular opinions...the world will catch on.

Can’t believe this movie’s already ten years old time flies

Say whatever you want, but the scene with Gwen's speech is a phenomenal masterpiece. Peter saving all those people while Gwen's voice is playing in the background and the heart-touching music is a moment of pure magic. This is the most brilliant, awesome scene a Marvel movie ever portrayed.

The slow-mo shot at 1:17 along with the music will always be my favourite shot from any Spider-Man movie!

The music in this movie is my favorite Spider-Man music of all time, it’s the perfect “super hero saves the city” music. Gives me chills every time

One thing about this scene that never really gets captured in the other spiderman movies is how FAST he moves. The way the camera flings around him as he dodges cars and swings around buildings whilst streamlining his body to maximize momentum make his movements look really impressive and showcase how agile he actually is

This series was the exact definition of wasted potential. The soundtracks, suits and Garfields acting as Spider-Man was purely amazing, but everything else sort of didn’t fall in line with that image. I bet if they had gotten Garfield in the MCU around this time instead of when he actually got the role for Spidey, then he would’ve had the perfect Spider-Man role

one of the golden moments of this movie, if all the little, or rather major flaws of this movie were fixed then hands down this would be the best super hero film out there

Probably one of the most comic accurate spiderman scenes of all time

The fade from the diving jet to spiderman with the electro bells to the build of the woodwind crescendo blows me away

If the MCU introduce Andrew Garfields Spiderman this way in the 3rd Tom Holland Spiderman Movie, I’m gonna cry.

@CYB3R2K30Tobey's characterization is not like the comics. Peter Parker is not a victim. Peter Parker stands up to bullies, does not obsess over one woman, and doesn't set around and let the villains come to him. He's proactive. Tobey was Peter in name only.

@@mountbolt8993 Andrew was not too cool to be Peter Parker. He was still the best Peter dude. Everyone's just angry cause he was more attractive. The dude had the awkward speech and mannerisms down, he always looked like he was struggling to think of how to behave like a normal person instead of a nerd. He was a great Peter and a great Spider-Man. Maybe not perfect, but waaaaay better than the other two combined.

I love how Andrew Garfields Spiderman is funny. "Excuse me, mr criminal" 😂

The humor was put at the wrong time, he shouldn't have been making jokes while the rhino murdered people

This was my first movie in 3d,no better movie to watch in 3d theatres than this till now ....gosebumps

since 2012.. he's still my favourite spidey..

@@torak_34 what he means is when this movie came out mostly everyone didnt like it. But now as time went by and we got another spiderman, people wanted to compare all three of the spidermen actors we had over the years and turns out most people just blindly hated (if that even makes sense) the two Andrew Garfield movies and they're not that bad as we all thought it was. Obviously there is still haters but most people's opinion changed when this movie originally came out.

One thing Andrew most definitely is better at in Spider-Man than Tobey and Tom have, the quips.

Still the best swing scene ever

Andrew's Spider Man is seriously underappreciated.....also his ringtone's AMAZING!!

Agreed but the knock on him doing it is that it’s inappropriate timing when those bullets shot out of the window could’ve hit someone. That’s the thing with Tobeys spider man, he could have great quips it’s just that he never uses them because he’s always in a serious battle. Maybe if tobey is dealing with some goons with no one in immediate danger he can be very funny.

This opening scene just OOZES spiderman, everything about it reminds me of the comics

This opening swing and car chase is just like the perfect on screen presence of spider man. Say what you will about about the movie as a whole Garfield's potrays the in suit spider man perfectly. The movie also has incredible action scenes and visual effects.
