Oh, same, since I wasn't able to web zip well at this point (I was like, 6 years old, and horridly shit at video games), my general experience with Shocker was hearing the Spidey Sense noise before getting pummeled by his shock blasts, which got to me so much I developed a general dislike of subway levels and levels where you have to outrun a train, or avoid some projectile coming towards or behind you in a narrow corridor.

As a kid this game used to scare me hahaha the first mission where you are at the warehouse it always scared me for some reason. I was like 5 now I'm 18. Good memories with this game

I refuse to believe my love for this game was just nostalgia, writing was so funny and the Green Goblin secret character just immense

I love how instead of making him a jobber like usual, the Raimi games made him a serious threat. He's going all out with his gauntlets, creating tornadoes and even strategically destroying structure to buy time or hurt innocents. He's also one of the harder bosses in the game, so he's no pushover. This is by far my favorite interpretation of him where he's actually a legitimate threat that can hold his own against spiderman.

I was stuck here for MONTHS AND MONTHS. Imagine how I felt after beating this guy only to discover MORE GAME LEFT TO BE PLAYED

For the idiots who said that Tobey Maguire didn't say enough jokes as Spider-Man obviously never played the games. Sure it's not canon but he still played the role and did deliver some funny quips.

sad man i had the same problem but when i was in year 5 i finally got a memory card and beated the level though it stinked that my ps2 didnt came with a memory card why?

Yeah, not really much of a challenge. But I guess that's a good thing because I used to fail that fight numerous times and got extremely annoyed that I would have to start over with dodging that shock wave crap in the tunnels every time before I could fight him.

I remember I had this game from my childhood, and I had a hard time with the first one avoiding shocker's blast, but then I got the hang of it after a while, and shocker was pretty easy to beat in the first, and the second one kinda hard, but I won by dodging quickly. This was one of the best Spider-man games ever along with spider-man 2, 3, ultimate spider-man, and amazing spider-man 2, at 6:08 Shocker looked like he got a wedgied hanging from a web epic.

Hardest part of the game I remember being a kid so pissed I couldn’t beat this

I died like 12 times playing this part -_-

this game was so much fun, this is bring back so many memories, Shocker and Vulture were my favorite.

I love that so many of us remember playing this as wee little kids barely understanding how video games worked. For some reason I loved this level because of the subway trains. Liked riding that one train when you move the lever.

This game made me appreciate Shocker alot more, probably my favorite version of him

this is so freakin Hard.

the nostalgia is too real watching this.. damn near cried remembering the good ol days... simpler times :(

I don't have a lot of comics with Shocker, but I love every game level he's in, lol.

still remember dying constantly on this level on my gamecube as a little kid. used to have dreams of finally beating it and being able to continue the game/story. game cube ended up breaking eventually and i never got to find out what happens after

i just used web dome its really useful

My favorite villain in the game love shockers voice

This level gave me a trauma no Joke I hated the first part it was so hard when I played this as a young person.

This game and Spider-man 2 were my top favorites until Spider-man PS4 came out. Damn you, Insomniac Games.

Thx just got back on ps2 for the very first time in 6 years and I had a hard time beating shocker thx for guide lol

I guess the intended solution to the first part was to web zip from tunnel to tunnel to avoid Shocker's blasts, but I couldn't do it as a kid. I figured out that web dome makes you impervious to the blasts though so I would run right up the tunnel, web doming every time he fired at me. It used up almost all my webbing but it was fast and easy.

I can't do neither at the moment. I'll try to do one of your games in the next few weeks.

This brings back memories

i have a problem on the pc version (i play with a usb controller if this helps) whenever i enter this fight those black things like -_ dissapear and it shows my hp and web and then it only shows my hp and there is no voice and its just a black screen

This used to scare me a lot.

For the longest time, I could not beat this part of the game. I still remember the first time I did eventually beat it.

10 year old me almost shit himself with that second shock wave coming down the tunnel. It took 2 weeks and a strategy guide to nail this level.

I was never able to complete this level as a kid.

This was the man I feared the most as a kid. 3 weeks to try and beat him

[Go to 0:19] Shocker: "you have been riding me long enough, I'm gunna finish you once and for all" funny how this all happens in a train tunnel Pretty much paints the whole picture to what I did to my gf last night XDXD

This level took me A MONTH to figure out when I was a kid.

It would be nice to play this game again on a remastered version of it on the Switch.
