Does the template also save other things like the telemetry gauge panels and timers? Thanks!

It does! Any configuration made within the transmitter on that particular model will be saved in the template. :)

When is spectrum going to have a dedicated module bay for other protocols ?

Since your right hand is busy flying, you ought to put the dual rates on switch B. Go ahead.. 😊

Ah man my muscle memory from Switch B being my flight modes for helicopters keep me from putting it there! Funny enough that’s where I used to have my dual rates until I got into gassers. The person who got me into it had his dual rates switch there so I just copied him and have been used to it being Switch F ever since!

@@EthanAterI bought my first 2.4GHz transmitter in 2008. It was a Spektrum DX7 helicopter version and I used the B switch for normal, idle-up 1, and idle-up 2. It wasn't long before I was using switch B for dual rates on airplanes. I'd only been flying RC planes for 45 years in 2008 and had used various switches over the years. I don't remember what switch I used for rates on a helicopter. I never got good enough to need high rates on one.
